Thanks! You got me hooked on insane SFF builds (and CZcams) so you're partly responsible for all this. The cubic infill side panels could work really well on a dual radiator custom loop build, no turbulence to worry about 👀.

@@diegocervantes4977 I haven't personally tested it, but the consensus has always been that top exhaust is the better configuration in the T1, no matter if air cooling or liquid cooling.
@@diegocervantes4977 there should always be a balance of intake and exhaust. the GPU cooler and CPU cooler both act as intake because of how they're oriented, so the few case fans you can fit in there should be oriented to exhaust. air can find its way into a compact system but it's kinda hard to get it out without some encouragement

This is awesome. I have a 5900X and 7900xt in my T1 v2.5, with basic AIO, and everything works well and is dead quiet (to my old ears anyway). I have these components, because they were just what was in my old ITX build, but it's nice to know if I upgrade in the future, and want to go air cooled, that someone has put in the hard work to prove what is possible. Wow this is really unexpected plot twist haha. A year ago I have the same specs as you but only 7900X (bought it a couple months before the 7800X3D came out) and I dreamed of making the same custom loops as you, but it required a lot more time money and effort, so I built air cooling version exactly the same as you in this video except for the custom stuff and I'm happy. But still there are two important changes.
1. I installed a 120mm Noctua on the CPU through the adapter, it's a little quieter and gives a little better temperature, including cooling the RAM as well.
2. At first I had a regular APX90-X47 Full Copper like yours, but it annoyed me with its color and I found a rare Full Copper Graphene Coated version on T-Mall, it's gray, thank god now I can sleep well.

Awesome video - the turbulence noise for the cuboid is mainly from the shape I've found, smaller holes and round holes specifically seem to help a lot more. A good example is the Fractal Terra which has horrid turbulence noise compared to the T1 if you stick either side panel directly on top of a fan

Just a note here: The Full Black should perform equal to Full Copper, but I've seen reports that it's usually just the Black model mislabeled, and that one is aluminium instead of copper. Where did you order it from?

Thanks to your vid, I think I'm comfortable going this route for my move from full tower to a FormD T1 case. I wanted to use the phanteks evolv shift xt initially, but this would be slimmer and more modular. Spending on a 240mm AIO, and routing tubes, seems too compromising and expensive. The only difference is that I have a 3090 FE, which has me unsure(wishing) the travel kit would work, along with the phantesk 850sfx. I'll be looking into getting a 14600k(getting different ram of course) and learning to undervolt both.
Can't beat that Corsair sf750. I also have one that's in its third build. It's currently running a 5600x/3080 system in an Ncase M1 without breaking a sweat.

Hey! What about making circular parts of sidepanels with different holes pattern aligned to corresponding cpu, psu and gpu fans? Would look neat in my opinion and also will promote air to go more through particular intakes
The freaking pcie extension is so delicate, I had problems for a week trying to turn on the pc, thought it was the ram, than the motherboard, than the power supply and at last it was the pcie extension. I reassemble everything back together and try and put the pcie extension as best and delicate as I could and it finally turned on. Happy with my build, im rocking the 13600kf, 32 gbs 7200mhz ram, rtx 4070ti super, and cooler master 850w sfx power supply, with the same cpu cooler you are using. Also the phanteks at the top. But i needed to undervolt a lot on the cpu because it gets vey hot and I like to keep it lower than 70. My gpu is always at less than 55. I use it on my room as a gaming console on my tv.
I get the anxiety of high CPU temps, but the reality is that the design philosophy as of late is to let them run hot, and a target of 70C may be too unrealistic depending on load scenario.

I’m currently getting ready to switch my build into this case, unfortunately I don’t have access to a 3D printer, do you by chance sell things like this in places like Etsy?
Fortune is smiling on me as I have started to finally build my first PC. I have already bought the T1 Titanium and might arrive by the end of the week. Been looking at multiple sites of what the best cooling could be for the case and trying to maximize upgradability for the future. This cleared my doubts of what small coolers are capable of as I have been trying to decide wheather to use a Noctua L9 vs L9i. Seems to me the L9 would cool a i9 well and will have room for a bigger GPU later on.
Keep in mind the AXP90-x47 is quite a bit better than the Noctua L9.
Maybe a basic question but how do you clip the noctua fan to the thermalright CPU? The clips that come with the CPU are too short for the longer fan. What kinds of clips/connection can be used instead?

When you say I need 1x M3x5x4 threaded brass insert from the aliexpress link, can you please let me know what x5x4 mean? Does it mean OD 5MM size and 4MM length?
My case just came in, struggling to get the riser cable installed as it seems the holes arent aligned
I do not have a CNC yet thinking of trying to fine one that can cut metal that is not to expensive that would solve the issue of strength and bending on the pannels

I am currently planning a new PC Build and I am undecided between the FormD T1 and the Ncase M1 Evo. Most important to me is the noise while gaming. I know i can fit a 280mm AIO into the M1 while the T1 only fits some 240mm but, my Question is. Is an AIO really needed for an 7800x3d?

I did the same build but with an AIO. The CPU temp was fine but the 4090 FE temp crossed 85C. I gave up and moved to a larger case AP201. GPU temp dropped to 60C on 100% load. I loved the T1 but best with 4080 and below GPUs

Hey amazing video, I have a E-White T1 and 4080 Super FE waiting to be built and the travel kit will be the perfect addition. I love the hex screws that you have replaced the originals with, so much more durable than philips heads do you know where you can get some? They look like good quality stainless steel ones.
Thanks! I bought them a long time ago from Aliexpress for my T1 v1.1, nothing fancy but they have served me well and I reused them a bunch of times, the philips head ones that came with the case are already pretty gnarly.

My cable lengths are a bit all over the place because I've used them in other builds as well. Best source for cable lengths is the SFFHub Discord server (link in description) and check the pins in the #formdt1 channel.

EPS - 250-260mm (in front of the mobo)
EPS - 300mm (routed behind mobo)
12vhpwr - 325-350mm

When you say CO tuned for your 7950X3D, do you mean that you only put a negative offset on your curve, or did you also mean that you modified PPT/ EDC / TDC limits as well? Thanks!!
Just per core negative curve optimizer. I don't touch limits.

You could try an get the side panels 3d printed out of metal that would probably add more structure
3d metal printers are very expensive, hopefully they will come down in cost so more can enjoy metals 3d printing
Oh yeah, that would be insanely expensive, but there's other materials or composites I may try in the future to see if I can get them to be more rigid.

You can use that as inspiration as the principles are the same. The trick is to find fan RPM ranges that offer a good balance between noise and thermals, and then make Graph curves that set the fan speeds based on that.

The difference is significant, I believe it's around 2-3 C.

I value (gaming) performance more than I do extreme SFF builds, so... although it's cool, I wouldn't use it for my main build

The best alternative is probably the ID-COOLING IS-47-XT but it performs worse.
I have been running my T1 with one panel off as I have an IS-55 cooler, I was thinking about getting a bulge pressed into the side panel but I'm going to replace with the smaller cooler. The links though take you to wrong products both the cooler and CPU fan links are bad. When the travel kits comes back in stock i will buy it for sure. I have placed a fan above the CPU to try and help with SSD temps (Gen 5) and i turned the system over also to help. What size fan would fit below the NVME ??

Oh wow, didn't know about this one. The dimensions almost certainly do not match, but a travel kit variant may be worth doing depending on the popularity of this card.

I noticed that you link to the Corsair CMK32GX5M2B6000C30 SKU (XMP only) instead of CMK32GX5M2B6000Z30 (EXPO). I don't know if that matters or not. For what it's worth, Gigabyte doesn't list either as verified compatible with the B650I AORUS Ultra. Have you run into any issues using the XMP profile with that memory?
The link opens correctly for me (CMK32GX5M2B6000Z30), I think Amazon adjusts the links based on region and it may mix things up. I actually have the 64GB kit but I think it's overkill. How are you getting such good temperatures with your CPU? I have this exact same build and I am consistently over 80 degrees C under gaming load. I am at a -30curve with PBO limit of 80W and a thermal throttle limit at 85c. I have tuned off intergraded graphics and it does not help with temps. I can not find anyway to lower the temps, any help?
One thing that comes to mind is that you may have not tightened down the x47 fully. I use the short thumb screws together with the stock AM5 backplate and tighten the nuts (with the included thumb driver) until the tip of the screw is nearly flush with the surface of the nut.
If it's not that than you'd need to tell me more about the exact game and settings.

Is the fan your using the standard Noctua A9 or the Noctua A9x14?

The tl;dr is that the AXP90-x47 is superior.
The Black Ridge has some advantages, with the underside fan mounting style you could have the case in 3.25 slots and not worry about fan turbulence. But from my understanding the Black Ridge also has fitment issues with certain motherboards, including the ASUS B650E-I shown in the video.

The stock riser apparently often has quality problems, its length is 18.5cm your linked cable is 23cm is there no problem with fitting the extra cm.
And is the anti sack bracket for the 4090 recommended or am I fine without it ?
I haven't used my stock riser at all so far, not because I don't think it's good, just that for the builds I wanted to do the Linkup was better. The extra length is not an issue, but thickness is a bit of a downside (stock one is thinner).
Anti-sag bracket or travel kit is definitely optional, but I recommend it for OCD 👀.

@@bionis4980 I would skip using the backside M.2 personally and get one 4tb drive (I have a 2tb drive and a couple of external NVME enclosures).

Definitely the better choice since you've got room for it. I'd only get the x47 if you plan on upgrading to a 3 slot card later down the road.
If you have a 2 slot you can fit an l12s which is better than both
@@timo5229 I bought an L12S ghost edition but have not yet tried to fit it. I believe the vrm heatsink will make contact with the heat pipes.

If you want to avoid deformation then PETG or ABS/ASA but given their small size and the fact that the duct will be held in place by the panel once mounted, I'm sure PLA can work as well, even if it deforms slightly.

What did you use for the fan cables?
Those are custom 4pin extension cables from DreambigbyRay on Etsy. Entirely optional as the Noctua and Phanteks fans come with their own (sleeved) extension cables.

The pegs are tiny, it takes a couple of minutes at most.

I don't think I will be getting back in the T1 custom loop game for the foreseeable future. I will say though, the upcoming Modultra 4090 FE block is something that I'd love to try.
Which size foam duct did you use for the CPU Cooler?

how is the sound levels compared to an AiO. Im using an Atmos now and my T1 is on my desk. If the performance is better with air and sound levels are similar, then Im going to switch and not worry about leaking.
My old CPU only custom loop with pneumatic tubing is very close to an AiO in terms of performance and noise levels, so you can use that as a comparison point. That said, I would not worry about leaking with an AiO.

Phanteks T30's all seem to be out of stock in my area. Could you recommend a suitable alternative for this case please? Also, what's the impact of removing the fan grill from the Corsair PSU? The best SFX PSU I can source doesn't have a removable fan grill. Thanks!
Hi! There is no reason to remove the PSU fan grill, it's something I did for a previous build. As for T30s alternatives, the Noctua NF-A12x25 is the way to go.

I would suggest finding someone local to keep costs down, especially if you have a different motherboard or taller RAM that are currently untested with the shroud.

Just a mild negative Curve Optimizer tuning (per core) but it really wouldn't perform any different even stock. I don't apply any other limits other than the default PBO settings.

@@shusui9665 I don't find it necessary to touch any of the limits. The 7950X3D can usually only do between 0 and -15 on a per core basis (not global) and requires a LOT of stability testing. If you are new I'd just get a 7800x3D, set it to -30 and test for stability in day to day tasks, and then just call it a day! There's no point to the 7950X3D unless you like to tinker around.
@@EIGAtech yes i want to go with 7800x3d. so then i only will set rhe curve to -30 per core and thats it. i understand then that i will leave the cpu to clock itself down if temp limits on gaming or special tasks will reach the max? thx very much .

I can't say as I haven't made any SFF systems using Intel CPUs.
Be aware that Gigabyte B650I Aorus doesn't work with majority of pci-e 4.0 risers, so I wouldn't recommend it instead of Asus in this case

@@EIGAtech ASRock B650i Lightning is pretty good for its price with CPUs up to like 7800x3D, the only issue is not very powerful VRM, so it can boggle down CPUs like 7950X/3D. Also, some people complain about MTK Wifi chip, but I didn't encounter any issue so far.
At the start of AM5 gen I bought 3 B650I Aorus because of 3x m.2 slots, two of my builds doesn't require a riser so I didn't notice any issue, but then on my main rig I was ripping hair out my head trying to figure out what is wrong, lol. Also this issue relevant for Jginyue B650I Night Devil, niche Chinese board.

@@EIGAtech it works, but I can't say if it's stable or not, since I didn't use it like that for a long time. And you know, it will bottleneck 4090 up to like 5%, absolutely unacceptable 😅

Hey why did you take out the grill off of the PSU?
I took it off when I did my T1 v1.1 build that had the PSU mounted in the flipped orientation and never bothered to put it back on.
u should test the cpu cooling in Cinebench & see if it thermal throttles

I just received the AXP90-X47 Full Copper cooler for my T1. However, on the box, it states "AMD: AM4" support. Does this imply compatibility with AM5 as well? I've noticed different SKUs of this cooler on Amazon with varying information regarding AM5 support. Does anyone have clarification on this?
The mounting is the only downside of the cooler , but the short version is this:
1. Keep the stock AM5 backplate
2. Use the AM4 brackets and the shorter thumbscrews
3. Push the thumbscrews through the AM5 threaded holes (the threads don't match, but there should be just enough clearance for them to go through).
4. Use the included nuts to secure the thumbscrews on the backside of the motherboard. I torqued them down so that the tips of the screws are nearly flush with the surface of the nuts)
There's a number of good videos out there showing how to install the cooler on AM5 boards.

Why is 4080 Super listed in the desc?
I've added it as a recommended part due to availability and price/performance. The ProArt 4080 Super is the card I would go for today if I didn't already have a 4090 FE.
How are temps in other tasks like rendering?
What kind of rendering? Davinci Resolve Studio is using the GPU when exporting video projects, this video for example took around 5 minutes to export. 3D renders in Fusion 360 is the only use case I have that will have the CPU instantly hit the thermal ceiling and start reducing boost clocks, but there's other (better) software out there that support GPU acceleration which is orders of magnitude faster anyway.

@@haven216 If you have a specific use case in mind I can do a quick test, but my use cases don't involve any heavy duty CPU workloads, and for gaming the AXP-90 x47 Full Copper performs perfectly.
