CORRECTION: Following the case instructions puts the radiator on the bottom and can shorten the lifespan of your pump. To fix this, you can flip case and put the feet on the “top” panel instead. Sorry for the oversight!

I just built a full size 4090+7800x3d like 3mo ago but I i still watch every single one of these mini builds and think I should build one myself
Same bro, except k have a 4090 Aero so 90% of these small cases are incompatible with mine😭😭
Depending on the version of your card, you could absolutely put that hardware in the T1.
@@clapforjesus2491 the 4090 aero will not fit bro as far as I know
I have a 4090 + 7800x3d in this case and it's amazing. Downsized from an 011d mini with 9 noctua fans and my temps barely went up😂
@@suluxan3121 Yeah probably not unfortunately. I have a 3080 FE in mine right now, and I know the 4090 FE fits just fine too, but some of those 3rd party cards are chunky bois.
I recently build in a FormD T1 V2.1. I used this to help walk me through the process. So well-paced and thorough.
What cable specs did you use?
@@johnhuh2409 24 pin - 160mm, EPS - 260mm, 12 pin - 300mm
Why are you installing the radiator at the bottom of the case? That's a great way to prematurely kill the pump because the pump shouldn't be above the rad. The FormD T1 allows that configuration from the top. I really don't get that build decision.
Watching your builds is a pleasure, practically all the time the case is perfectly aligned in the scene both vertically and horizontally, so I get an idea of all the dedication you invest in each video. It's amazing!
Nah... It's his OCD taking control over editing...
My friend, your videos are very good, educational and enjoyable, you are loved. My dream is to set up an itx system, but due to economic difficulties in my country, I could not collect it at all, but after watching your videos, I feel like I have collected it. Thank you, respect, love.
this was an easy watch. your pacing, your explanations, everything is just done so well. thanks for keeping the video entertaining yet knowledgeable!
it’s really cool to see this case finally getting some more love. got my build in the v2, and it was well worth the wait and price.
Great build Devyn, it was a pleasure to watch this FormD T1 build. Looking forward to more epic videos!
What a build man. Super clean and simple, very inspirational.
I love the way the atmos looks when its in the case and on, sick vibes
I love how you still explain how to insert parts just in case someone wants to use this build as their first pc and you still make it interesting with great camerawork and dialogue for people who already know what’s up
turned out some are friends, used to be alot 'bronx'
Your cable management is just amazing.
Tight and clean build. I'm enjoying the stuffs you're doing man, keep it up !
*This will be my first ever PC build. Thank you.*
love this case and now is on my radar for my next build
Nice detailed video.
One remark though - if the pump is on CPU it should never be the highest point therefore radiator needs to be on top - you need to flip the case.
I’m interested to know why ?
@@jeremy9505 bubbles, air bubbles if pump is at the highest level bubbles can damage it in worst case in best you will have worse performance. In my case with Atmos 240 AIO it was 5C worse when radiator was at the bottom.
While true. I have a radiator that has the pump in it, and the cpu block is just that. Works no problem
@@cesarereyna7739 hence i wrote if it’s in CPU. If in radiator then it’s bit more flexible but you still need to be careful for the pump alone not to be the highest point.
Very nice build. I always wanted to do a build in the T1 just because the assembly process looks so enjoyable.
The T1 V2 is by far my favorite case. Sadly my itx motherboard died so I am not using it currently but I am planning on rebuilding in it this holiday season.
Got my T1 V2 on the first batch. Current build is a 5800x3d, and a 3080 FE, but I will be building in this case for as long as I possibly can. Favorite case I've ever owned easily.
I really like your videos dude. They are very relaxing! Always a joy seeing a new video of yours pop up
Wow great video, you knocked the build instructions out of the park! We're definitely going to be using the video as a reference for new users in the Discord. You covered a lot of small details that are easy to get caught on for this case. Great job!
Thanks so much, I really appreciate that!
Really appreciate this video. This is exactly what I need before I start my first ever PC build and it’s a T1 😂
Literally yesterday built a 7800X3D and a Powercolor 6800XT, I whole hardedly agree a tray to separate the screws would have been a godsend. Took me 4 hours to build. The darn thing would post, so I disassembled everything down to the cpu, reassembled everything and come to find out my DP cable wasn’t plugged into my monitor. But it was soo fulfilling coming from a Lian Li Evo to see everything crammed in this case so smoothly. Custom cables are a must. I ordered mine from pslate customs.
The shot of the "Apple line-up" looks amazing!
Another excellent video. One of your best builds in my opinion. I love this case. It's similar to the Fractal Terra, but more flexible. I have the reference version of the T1, and I've been using it for the past year. The reference version is a very good solution for air cooling, as it has a lot more space for the CPU cooler. I prefer air cooling, but that's just me. The worst thing about this case I have experienced is the feet. I often move my PC from room to room, since it's so small. In so doing, and I am not heavy handed, two of the rubber feet have worn through to the metal underneath. So, if you slide it around too much like you do at 10:40 in the video, the feet will wear out. I just ordered some new feet from Ali Express lol.
Happy to see the 240 Atmos fits in position 3. I got a 4070 super but want to upgrade to the 5080 (whenever it comes out) and happy to see I won't need a new air cooler or AIO when that times come.
So easy to follow thank you!
Amazing! Can’t wait to see this with the 4090 FE on.✌🏾
I gotta say this video couldn't have come a moment sooner as I'm about to build an ITX build with these exact parts.
Brother I’m saving this video for my future build also new sub I hope you get way more subscriber man! Keep it coming chief
As Always a Pleasure watching your videos.
Another epic build, another epic video, thanks!
Hi Devyn, amazing build as always, i was just wondering, are the fans set to exhaust or intake with the radiator?
I built almost exactly this build except I flipped the case so the radiator is on top. I also mounted the radiator to the bracket instead of the fans. This way I was able to mount 2 sllm fans exhausting on top of the radiator as well as a full size fan below the radiator just above the psu.
Also use some of the remaining standoffs with the psu to give my FE gpu some breathing room
Wow I might have to look into this, im looking into building an itx build soon
your videos are AMAZING! also, you gained A TON of subscribers SO FAST
Hey Devyn, absolutely love your videos, so clear and well roduced :) Btw wondering if you could do a size comparison some day since you have so many ITX builds, I find that its hard to find side by side images for cases these days
Yea, I like that idea. Was thinking about doing a vid on my favorite ITX cases this year. I'll have to make sure there are some good side by sides in it!
@@devyn.johnstonyes bro please compare all your itx builds so that we can get the idea of size and please compare it to a bagpack so that if anyone want to travel with them they can get the idea bro. Keep doing the best work .👍👍👌👌🤩🤗
@@devyn.johnston please help me if I install 4080 rtx Founder, will everything fit like in your build? Ty ❤
MAN I WAS WAITING FOR YOU TO DO A VIDEO ON THIS LET’S GO
great build!
What were your measurements for the custom cables in your build? Great video !
LOVE YOUR CONTENT OF TECH AND PRESENTATION!! AWESOME!!! ^_^!!
What lengths did you get for the custom cables? Was it just the gpu cables or also the motherboard? Your build inspired me to try to build my first pc.
Hi Devyan, good to watch your videos. I like how you build pc using components, they look amazing. I am new to pc and I have never build my own and I wonder, will I be able to figure out how to connect all parts 🙃 .
I really liked the video, especially since I am trying to deciding on a case. Unfortunatly the FormD T1 and the Dan C4-SFX are sold out for quite some time. I also like the Lian Li A4-H2O. In another video I have seen that there might be an issue with heat management when using components that are too demanding. I'd get components like an RX 7800 XT with a Ryzen 5 7500F and plan to build it in an A4-H2O using an AIO. Do you think this will work fine, also considering later upgrade options?
think im going to build my son this computer for christmas next lol
Please, can you make a video on fans and thermal optimisation for this build? 🙏🏾
Hey devy, does the case come with the support for the 240mm radiator and fan or do I have to buy the essential pack with it?
Fantastic video, really. Just found your channel; Excellent.
Looking to build my very first pc. How do I get this case? This case or Dan C4-SFX, but I can't find any, I'm in Canada
ive been looking at itx cases for almost 10 years now... one day 5 years ago i decided to get me a skyreach mini... i still use it today.. its basically is perfect , BUT its toooo loud when gaming.. im also not a fan of watercooling (mainentence) thats why i think the next case i will build diy with makerbeam to fit the fans i want... i want a "cube" with 200mm fans on four sides.....
How did you get the Noctua fan to fit with the grille? Using the same cooler, fan and mobo combo, but the clearance is so low the fan grill gets pushed into the fan by the motherboard while the case is closed.
How do you deal with coil whine in this small form factor cases?
I've already assemble my first AMD ITX build (7700x, 6600xt), but I was disappointed by clicking noise, especially loud in graphical applications (blender, games, etc).
Does this case have to have the AIO laid out on the bottom, or can you set it up to be inverted?
Does the aio increase gpu temps compared to air? Given the diminished exhaust?
Can you give me a couple suggestions for mini itx cases ? I'm looking for a case like the fractal design terra but I just want to make sure that I'm getting the best options out there and sadly i don't think the FormD T1is available in Sweden anyways thanks !
can you add a SSD with heatsink on the back of the motherboard? or will it not fit
Hey Devyn! I am planning on pretty much copy pasting this build for myself (with the exception of some fan preferences) and I was wondering how the cooling/run temps have been since you built this? Will I have to worry about overheating months down the line? Awesome video and keep up the great work!
The temps have actually improved by a few degrees since shooting the video. I flipped the case by swapping the bottom panel and top panel, so now the radiator is on top. I would definitely recommend doing that, as it will increase the lifespan of the AIO. Thanks!
What fan grill did you use on the radiator fan?
Is 47db good? It would be really helpful if you let the viewer, hear the sound by using a mic so we know how deep or high pitched the pc is. Otherwise great video❤ and I am planing on building my first pc in this case because my desk can’t quite fit a normal sized case without needing to hook it up to the bottom.
Anyone know what length 12vhpwr cable he used from moddiy?
Is there a reason for using two different types of slim fans here or could you juts use two of the same fans?
What other slim fans come with screws? I can’t find them anywhere where I’m. 😢
Is the breakout box (9:47) included somewhere, or do you have to buy it separately? Where can I get this breakout box?
I am literally looking to make same build in NR200P MAX case and with different MB. Looking at new AsRock B650I Lightning. Wonder if this CPU would have issue working on this MB
What on screen software are u using to display temps?
What cable length did you use for the PCIe? I’m trying to order one from moddiy but unsure what size to order. Same build basically but with the 4090FE
Hi Devyn.
What cable lenghts would you recommend for a build simular to yours?
Nice build :)
i have same question. what cable length to pick for this particular config (same motherboard/case)
Sorry to ask you about this on this video, but I have some questions about your XProto-L build :
- What cable extensions did you use ? I'm not sure I found the right ones on the Xtia website, I'm afraid of ordering the wrong ones.
- Does the case allow the installation of a 2.5 SSD ?
Thanks in advance for your answer :)
Got a link for those shorter rad screws?
Im planning to build a productivity pc for work with a 13700k and 4060. Which one would have better thermals? Formd T1 or Lian li A4 H20?
Just curious, why would he use 2 different fans on the radiator? Can i just use 2 of the p12 slim fan?
is there a link for the shorter radiator screws?
Would the 4090/4080 Founder edition fit the case with same AIO?
Is there the more small case with power supply and same design?
Are SF750s still in production? They seem very hard to get.
whats the length of the MODDIY 12VHPWR 16 Pin Power Cable. I know its between 20-40cm but I want to buy the correct fit and the PCIE RISER CABLE is sold out smh
Can you please tell me the details for the custom cables you used? Im not sure which to order. Im using a 4090

Did you ever have any problems with the asus rog strix b650e-i? People are talking a lot about coil whining e.g.
I hope of there is an air cooler build with the 4090 FE.
looks so dope man, can we see you playing in asmr? just like in 11:22
@DevynJohnston. Holy cow I just built in this case and thank you very much for your tutorial!!! It helped immensely, I got the V2.5 but it still helped me so much! Your 15 minute video took me 4 hours to build because I wanted to make sure it was right and I definitely did not want to do it again! Hahahaha
Anywho, the only part I wish I would have done better was there is a whole in the GPU slot at the back of the case. I put it at the 3 slot GPU and I only have a 2 slot, in my head I figured what could go wrong, well let me tell you! I have a 1 slot whole on the back now hahahaha
Anyway! I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart because if it wasn’t for this video I would have been screwed as the visualization instructions are a little hard to read.
You’re the best! 🎉
Also I highly recommend this case! It’s an absolute beauty!!
dang these videos keep getting better and better
would a 4090 FE work in this build with the AIO?
Is there a way to buy a pre-built 4090 configuration with this case?
can i use aio but the fan on top?
HI there, Love the build! currently using this as my reference for my T1 build. Can you please help me on the custom cables needed for a 4090 FE build with intel 14th gen? Where to buy and what length specs do i need for the cables :)
Check out the subreddit for FormD. There's a FAQ with some recommended cable lengths. Cablemod & ModDIY are popular choices. I bought a pre-made pack from ModDIY where they came up with shorter cables lengths. They're unsleeves so they're very flexible.
Are there any single ddr 5 64Gb ram sticks available?
What light bars do you use my guy? Amazing visuals as always
Thanks! They are called "Nanlite Pavotubes"
finally an AMD card getting some love
I wish they could make one side power button, and the other an USB-C. Then give you the choice of which side to mount which. That'll give us at least one front IO USB
where can you mount a 2.5" SSD?
Can u put 1000w power supply if I want to in that case ?
For multitasking MS Office, PDFs, browser tabs, and statistical packages (e.g. Stata, SPSS, Python) and then in free time some gaming which CPU from the ones mentioned will be better to have a snappy experience.
So that logic u could use any 240mm rad with slim fans? Just flip the case over?
can it fit the 4090 fe with a 240mm aio
7:50 the stock SF750 cables are more than good enough in the FormD T1 - I'm running an air cooled build in triple slot mode and with some cable ties they are easily managed. If you think the SF750 cables are bad the ones from the EVGA GM line are FAR worse - horrendous cables.
Wow. What CPU, cooler and GPU are in that build? Not much room for cooling left and that with a 3 slot GPU. I'm guessing you have a pair of T30s on top, sucking at maximum capacity to keep that setup from throttling. I'm curious, so please share. I just finished my T1 build today, using an Atmos 240, and cabling was quite a challenge with stock Corsair cables. It turned out quite nice, but it took me many, many hours to get it right. I had to mount the PSU in alternative / 90 degree mode, to prevent the cables from clogging up the airflow of the T30 on the radiator. AIO tubes are very cramped in that setup, but it works, just barely.
How much would you say it weights?
Question for the community! I've pretty much purchased everything I need to replicate this build but I am wondering if I can switch the GPU to the Sapphire Nitro+ 7800 XT AIB vs the Gigabyte OC (the one Devyn used in the video)? The dimensions seem to fit according to the fmdworks website but I don't want to purchase the Nitro+ just to have it not fit with the Atmos 240 AIO, etc! If there is anyone smarter than me who could shed some light it would be greatly appreciated!
Is it possible to replace water cooling with air cooling??
Is this their white variant or titanium?
Great video! Why did you opt to put the radiator at the bottom? I know that's how the designer intended for the case to be oriented, but the majority of users just flip the case to prevent air getting stuck in the pump block, should be as simple as putting the panel with feet on the "top & flipping it over.
Oh that’s a good point and great suggestion. An easy fix, I’ll definitely flip that around. Thanks!
Since the case has simetrical screws and panels, you can easily swap and rotate it around!
I now rarely see people putting their radiators at the bottom nowadays in their videos ever since that Gamers Nexus video hahah. He has definitely made an impact
Yeah, this comment should be higher up. There are some videos from older visions of the T1 sandwich that show both with air cooling and aio's, having the top fans as exhaust is slightly better for thermals. That's why I am running in my T1 v1.1 rn.
