I know right, its insane how much detail he takes into account when doing his builds, I know this is totally random, but I think he could probably do some insane terrarium builds.
For a real woodworker this is considered sloppy at best.

This is fantastic! Easily your best build yet. As others have said, the attention to detail is perfect. And it's amazing how similar this wood looks to Walnut.
If I had one critique, it would be this: When you have mitered corners, they're an endgrain to endgrain connection. This is not the strongest, and can spread apart or come apart entirely with stress (like heat buildup). To account for this, what you can do is reinforce the miter somehow. Usually with a spline or two. This provides a face grain to face grain glue joint going through the miter, and significantly increases the strength. You could even use something like brass that has been scuffed up on its face (to provide grip for the glue) as a spline to keep with the aesthetic.
Miter joint aside, this was truly great to watch.
Thanks! Yes mitres are not the strongest type of joint. But for a case that's not bearing alot of load, it's been proven stable for me.

I must admit that when I initially stumbled upon your videos I really wasn't expecting much, thought it would be another average modder with sub-par builds. Sorry for the gloomy intro but I wanted to highlight how surprised and ultra-impressed I am by all of your builds. The attention to detail in everything is off the freaking charts. All these techniques I've wanted to apply to my own build. So glad to see someone actually do it.
As someone who has worked in the plastic industry and has been a machinist for over 20 years plus i love woodworking I have to tell you I am truly impressed with your work. Your attention to detail is off the charts. Pre - planning this build alone was an undertaking. Ive also been into Pc probably since before most here were born lol and I'm telling you the case alone would get 500 U.S.D. if not more... Better Patent that design if you have not already.. Amazing stuff, very inspiring. I love all the custom work from wood-work and laser-engraving, to 3d printing, very thorough, you didn't seem to leave anything untouched. With builds like this, are there things you often wonder if it's worth doing at the time and you end up being very pleased you did in the end? And likewise, for builds like this one, are there things you wish you had spent the time doing?
Thanks! And great questions. There's always something to think about after the build is completed. For this one. I actually wanted to brush the fins of the radiator with the gold ru n buff also so they are more prominent through the front grill. But played it safe and didn't do it.

I already commented, but I thought you deserved a second one haha. I'm incredibly OCD. Especially with cable management, and color theming. This was heaven for me on so many levels to see someone else share that level of obsession to the detail, measurements, and that desire to take a task 5 levels past totally acceptable to absolute art (at least that's how I consider it). You really did an outstanding job. I don't have a single complaint which is quite unusual because I hold everything to such a high standard, and now I see, you do too. Your cable tray design has inspired me to revamp my own build while waiting for my 4090 to arrive. The choice to not immediately route the cables out of sight and instead let them flow naturally to their final destinations makes palpable the power of these machines; similar feelings gotten when looking at a server with miles of organized cat6 coming out.
I think im going to try to accomplish the same effect but with a inner spine and cable clips for ribs instead of the tray. If that fails I'll probably just do a backplate.

you've heard it before, but absolutely insane build mxc. the minor attention to detail with the covers and indents is my favorite part.
i build for fun and my favorite thing to do is make sure that everything flows well and everything looks good, even if you won't be seeing it everytime. that only matters to some people, but it's very worth it in the end.
