- I got a 6 foot rear blade for my sub-compact tractor for under 200 on craigslist and I love using it to clear my driveway. Makes quick work of it and is a joy to use.

I use a 6 foot leinbach blade on my bx23s. I have gravel and somewhat steep driveways but it still works really well.
Need some weight on that blade. Nice work, nice video.
I really like using my rear 6’ blade on my B2601. I would like to add a little weight to mine, but not sure what’s a good way to achieve that. I was using a 7’ western blade on the front to plow, but this year I just bought a 72” pusher….so I’ll be using that on certain driveways. But dollar for dollar, it’s hard to beat a back blade!
Works fine until you catch an edge and bend or break something. I started out with such a blade 55 years ago, but have moved on from those days. Now I can even handle deep snow beyond the 2-3 inch snows. You probably already learned to put the snow pile at the end of the drive on the right side, not the left as shown. Then the highway plows will not push it all back into your drive. Beats a shovel.
At what point do you find that the snow is too much that you have to start pushing in Reverse with the blade?
Or are you using the bucket first and then using the blade to just clean up the scrap left behind?
Think this would work ok on gravel driveway or would it tear it up
For gravel you could do a couple of thing; run the blade backwards, or run a pipe as a cutting edge, or make truck plow shoes work on it.
yes you could split a pvc pipe and install also a old piece of rubber conveyor belt bolted on works great ive even done that on my garden tractor front blade i can do paths across back lawn to basement door and not damage grass
I think 🤔 using your loader bucked is more efficient if you ask me but what do I know? Lol 😂
I used the loader several times the first 3 years I had the tractor. I prefer the rear blade, I think a snow pusher would be better.I used the loader several times the first 3 years I had the tractor. I prefer the rear blade, but I think a snow pusher would be better.
Winging snow to the side for long stretches is always more efficient, but if you get lots of snow the space you clear will get smaller over time.
