    Shows how awful we are at the time in the board room. Jags is a Everton legend, 300+ games, captain, I'm sure he knows how much the fans appreciate him.

    Honestly it was disgusting how our board treated Jags! A loyal servant who wore his heart on his sleeve and the Goodison faithful adored (and still do!) him. Currently watching this in my Jagielka tshirt! Love you skipper

    Anyone that’s an Evertonian loves Phil Jagielka. A brilliant captain who oversaw some of Everton best premier league seasons. Hate how it ended, hopefully one day he can come back to get the reception he deserves

    Jags deserved a testimonial at Everton he was brilliant for us. Unfortunately for him, as he alluded to the club off the pitch has become a mess, him, other players and the fans are all victims of lunatics running the club.

    Phil was one of my favourite players in that very good Everton team under Moyes. Especially the team of 07/08. That side should of won something. FA/League Cup or Europa League. Nevertheless, a great captain and Everton legend.

    Jagielka's chatting nonsense. No manager he worked under feared he would take their job, as he says himself, he doesn't have any badges, nor is he some football genius. No club owner in the professional pyramid was going to sack their manager and appoint Jagielka.

      Badges mean nothing if a team loses 5 games in a row managers going and if there is a senior player that commands the respect of the dressing room he's a good fit if only temporarily

      @@bruceberry5931 That happens in League Two and below, maybe even League One in truly desperate times. The clubs Jagielka played at had the money and the reach to attract managers, they never need to look at their players for someone to appoint.

      You know nothing you clown badges mean nothing chairman appoint people sometimes on what they’ve done as players a manager would feel threatened by somebody who’s had a better football career than them. You’ve never kicked a ball in your life he’s speaking from experience saying managers feel threatened by players who’ve had a good career Rooney was the only one who didn’t
