People think Zlatan is rude and obnoxious, they don’t get that he’s making fun of peoples view of him. He gives them what they want and laughs. He actually has a great sense of humour, and a great belief in himself. Sure, he has an iron will and he demands the same from his surroundings, that’s why he was, without a doubt, one of the best footballers of his generation, in the world. Period.

He is rude and obnoxious. He talks about himself in 3rd person since he was 20. His attitude is toxic. Just look at Inter who won the CL when he left and when he left Barcelona they would go on to win the CL. A very good player and some classy goals but in the end, theres a LOT of better strikers than him only. Eto > Zlatan prime, Mandzukic > Zlatan prime for example.

Zlatan was on pace beating prime Vela's scoring numbers fairly convincingly had he stayed to do his third season in the league, Vela played there for six seasons while Zlatan was past his prime closing in on 40 yo. Zlatan was raised by a poor immigrant family, at times there was nothing but beer in the fridge. When he was a teenager, a bunch of parents of the other guys on his team signed a petition to kick him out of the team. He was treated like a villain his whole youth, so somewhere along his career he decided to play the part in public. But he’s a true leader, holds everybody and himself to the highest possible standard.

Zlatan currently serves as an official advisor to the owners of AC Milan (Redbird Capital, where he took on the designation 'operating partner'), which per my understanding means that he's in a sort of technical director role at the club, spends a lot of time in and around the technical staff and squad, etc. He was very popular in the dressing room during his final stint there, so this makes sense from a player relationships sense.
(Worth noting that Redbird may not be in their position much longer, so we'll see how long this lasts.)

With his comments, it is hard to tell whether he is the ultimate conceited prat or has a brilliant sense of humour. I think it might be a combination of the two. The opinions of former team mates of him are varied. The sledge of John Carew's ability is interesting, considering that Carew is one of only three players to have scored in European competitions with seven teams. The other two are Adrian Mutu and Zlatan. So, if Carew achieved it with a ball, Zlatan must have done it with an orange.
