That seems to be your only defense, Liverpool's only successful period was between 19-22 and it isn't even close to City's so explain why a glory hunter would support Liverpool way before that? Im a Liverpool fan and the defense of the stadium atmosphere with "we save it for when it matters" is the epitome of cognitive dissonance.
It shows a seluded side of the ones who parrot this line.
Anfield goes quiet way too often and for way too long that you would think singing and chanting was an arrestable offence.
I rented a shop every match day. It was opposite the top. I had this fanatic that would come in the shop. Knew all the politics. All the board, inside goings on.
He said liverpool made a decision to promote outsiders coming the game, give them priority. The reason = $$$ they would spend more in the shops. Scousers didnt do the tourist trap of "let's go and get a souvenir...

The Anfield atmosphere is a myth. St James's Park is hands down the best atmosphere in the PL.
It definitely isnât. Iâve there about 4 times along with nearly all the others. My honest top 5 past and present are:
Leeds, Everton, Villa, old West Ham ground, Newcastle

Goodison Park when it's a night game and a big opponent is a pure vicious bear pit even the likes of Sir Alex hated it.

@@davidg7987 No team in England has a great atmosphere for every game. Everton are no different. I've been to Goodison, my mate is a blue & I go with him some times if he has a spare ticket. If they're playing a 2:00 game vs a team like Southampton, there's no atmosphere at all. They create an atmosphere when they feel they have to, which is usually only in the derby or towards the end of the season if they're about to be relegated. Same for Liverpool, they only have a good atmosphere in the games that are big to them too. If Liverpool are playing Bournemouth, 3:00 on a Saturday, the atmosphere will be dead but when its a big game, there's no atmosphere like Anfield.
