This woman is off the charts adorable.
I kept thinking the same thing as I watched the show and see her in interviews... "Is she the most beautiful woman alive or am I crazy?!" The most spectacular smile!

Kira is my favourite Trek female character of all. Tough, attitude and a great laugh!
I just recently learned she was married to Alexander Siddig who plays Dr. Bashir - and they had a child, which was written into the storyline as her being a surrogate for Chief O'Brien and Keiko's baby.

Are you kidding? Totally different, I would say DS9 is a homage to the original series. DS9 is more flawed than TNG, more human. I'm not saying TNG didn't have its episodes but DS9 overall has been more about the human condition and less about scientific exploration. But certainly both series had notable episodes from both angles.

It was great how DS9 gradually got more serialized as the show progressed, and still they had episodes here and there that were "one-and-done" stories like TNG.. so you got the best of both worlds (no pun intended). The serialized nature of the show allowed for both story and characters to get more fleshed out. It's too bad they didn't go the same route with TNG.
Tng was the better show. Ds9 was good
Since COVID I've watched both. Both amazing, but I have to say I prefer DS9.

You know, I never really thought I'd say this about Kira, but she's kinda hot. Usually I'm not in to short hair, but Nana makes it work.
Maybe it was in What We Left Behind-the DS9 documentary-but somewhere it was pointed out that in almost every shot with Kira in it, the camera makes sure her waist in in the shot. She doesn’t have as many just typical chest-up or neck-up as other characters. It was intentional.

It's likely this guy's a white male who's talking out of his ass. If he was a person of color, a woman, or both, he'd know exactly what Nana Visitor and many others are talking about. And looking at many comments for this old vid, its safe to say a lot of beta males here are fixated on her looks back in the 90's than anything else.
