Chris Pines Father was very famous in the early 80's because of CHIP'S and a few minor roles in some movies. Jerry Stiller was a famous comedian and Vaudeville Actor before getting into TV and he was the #1 Fan for RUSH and made a Video intro for 1 of their Tours Plus he was on the Seinfeld and King of Queens shows so his carrier spanned many generations from 40's till his passing in 2020 so I firmly state that Ben Stiller can only be Humble in his Fathers Shadow.

Many have the looks of both parents, like Rob Lowe’s sons, (in another video) they have a combined look of Rob and his wife. Clint Eastwood and John Ritter both have one son that look just like them.

Some of these Sons are almost spitting images of their Dads, while others are definitely better looking, and there's some well I'll I'll just say they're different looking.

Those kids aren’t getting their picture taken all the time and the site owner a) wouldn’t know about them and b) not find their pictures. Mel Gibson has 8 or 9 kids and this video only showed 2 of them. What I thought was impressive that all Sheen’s kids have the same mother compared to some of the others

Like any job kids often follow in their parents footsteps. My Nephew works for his Father straight out of high school, just bought his first house at 28 with his longtime girlfriend. He was making more than I ever did by the time he was 19, and is poised to take over the business when his father retires. He still had to work hard and in every part of the business, just as these people’s kid’s do. They might get an audition because of their name, but after that it’s up to them. Also kids of creative people are often creative themselves. My soulmate was a 2nd generation artist, and her adult daughter is a brilliant artist in her own right.

I think Jamie Lee Curtis is more famous than her mother Janet Lee.
That depends on what generation you are talking about...that goes with most actors.
She may be best known for Psycho but she actually was in over 50 movies, many before and after Psycho. She was even in the Fog and one of the Halloween movies with Jamie Lee. She also wrote a couple of successful books and was on Broadway so she was actually pretty successful also. She was also in a couple of movies with Jamie Lee's father, Tony Curtis who was also pretty famous.
Some of Jamie Leigh Curtis movies were hit and miss, her mother wasn't and she was nicer looking than her daughter.

I think kids tend to look at their parents' careers as possibilities for themselves. Also, I think interests can be heredity in addition to looks, talent, and brains. My Dad was a geologist-so am I. Dad was very interested in photography - my brother was a news cameraman for mainstream news networks. My Mom was a nurse -so is my sister, and our grandmother and great grandmother. As for these guys, It helps getting a job in the entertainment industry if your parent(s) were in it.
