- Nana Visitor, who played Major Kira Nerys in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, in a short in-studio interview on what had been the new UPN News station in Los Angeles, UPN News 13. This station's newscast had previously been known as simply "Channel 13 News", as seen in some of my other video uploads. Channel 13 became the Los Angeles UPN affiliate when Star Trek: Voyager premiered. Visitor talks for a couple of minutes with the news anchors. Aired on February 8, 1996.

@@chadsknnr Alright. Nana Visitor and Alexander Siddig (Julian Bashir) were in a relationship during production and in 1996, Nana Visitor gave birth to their son and they named him Django. I don't know why he was named Django and I wish I knew why.

"Nana" is Spanish for grandma, in Italian it's a female dwarf.
Tomato tohmahtoe it's LATIN based and the dwarf twist isn't original meaning in Roman Latin til later recent Italians

@@aarongreenfield9038 Yes! For sure. I’m currently on my 4th rewatch of the series. Each time seems to get better and better as I see more of the nuance/massive depth of the show.
Abominable acting destroys the integrity of Star Trek. There are two characters who's appalling acting is hard to watch and embarrassinly cringing. They are the "Wooden" Avery Brooks, who plays Commander Sisko and worst of all Kira Nerys, played by Nana Visitor. How on earth that woman ever made it through acting school is beyond belief. Nana Visitor has got to be the epitome of atrocious acting. She is absolutely awful and unbearable to tolerate.
