    Unexpectedly picked up an affordable pair of the "wides" at a US brick & mortar discounter today. I don't believe it's hugely popular here. Surprised that they are fairly accommodating for my wide forefoot, as I find many Adidas alarmingly narrow. Got the practical (boring?) black. Reassured by your running use that it might prove decent for somethin' or other.

    • @LARKRunningUK
      @LARKRunningUK  Před rokem

      They fit well and are true to size for me. The Duramo 10 does come in wide (E) sizes so I’d probably look at those if that’s what you usually get. Thanks for watching!

    • @nicholas6900
      @nicholas6900 Před rokem +2

      I had the original Duramo size 10. I wore those for three years and ran consistently in them. They were a snug fit and the sides of my feet slightly bulged. I could run and walk in them ok but my feet tended to swell and hurt a bit once I started going to distances past 15 km when running.
      I've never tried these new Duramo in size 10 so I just opted to buy the size 10 wide on Amazon. My foot width is well past four inches but under 4 and a half inches. A bunch of size charts online stated that I should be wearing wide shoes. After trying these, I found that my foot doesn't bulge over the sole and fits perfectly all the way around. The only minor complaint is that the "vamp" or the space above the foot is a bit bigger/noticeable. I'm so used to feeling the top of my shoe that I'm wondering if it's supposed to be like that or if I've been wearing the wrong shoe size. I jogged twice for about 10 km with tube socks and my feet weren't hurting. I occasionally noticed and felt the space above my feet and it's not too big of a deal. I think that feeling was a combination of the plastic/mesh they used. It's more rigid than the original Duramo.
      Having wide feet has it's ups and downs but I went with duramo again because they're affordable and simple. Minor inconvenience of having a little more space above the foot > foot buldging slightly over the sides of the sole if I go with just a size 10. I've never tried size 10 in these new duramo but I'm pretty sure that same bulge I had with the original would carry over.
      I'm hoping that this wide fit fixes my swelling issue when I try to go past 15-20 km.
      Since you have extra wide feet, you'll probably fit fine.

    • @LARKRunningUK
      @LARKRunningUK  Před rokem

      Great insight. I think a minor bulge over the side is common in some shoes, but if you were experiencing pain and swelling maybe wide fit is best for you. Thanks for informative comment…..👍🏻
