The scammers were pretty obvious
I was interested in who it was that won the diode laser, but could not find the short video of Feb 29th. I know, I am bad at finding stuff...
Would you mind adding the link to it here Skyler?
Your videos are very helpful! You have given me some good ideas for my own laser engraver/cutter projects. I'm impressed with the capabilities of the Longer 40W engraver/cutter that you reviewed.
Thanks for this great review! I’ve been looking at lasers recently and this really helps.
I have been watching laser reviews for two years. This one looks like it is very well made. Keep making the great videos.
I recently came across your channel while doing some research for a new diode laser engraver. I love that you give honest opinions about the pros and cons of the machines you are reviewing. By showing the work you have created with the machines, it gives the review an authentic feel instead of one that feels more geared towards being a sales pitch for the specific brand. I also love that you have worked with many different brands and can give true hands on experience comparisons! I too only currently work with hardwoods, so your work gives me real life examples that I can apply to the projects I make. I had never heard of the Longer brand before I came across your channel, but it is not at the top of my list for a new laser. Thank you for all of the information and tips you have shared. I will definitely being watching more of your videos!
Love to try that laser! Thanks for making it happen! Love your videos, stay safe!
Love your channel
, just found you a few days and can't get enough. I have a small wood working business and this would be perfect for customizing current products and expanding into new products. Thank you for doing this!
I appreciate the honest reviews you give, I"m looking to get my first laser, and I'm over whelmed with all the brands and things they will do, and claim to do.
Thanks for taking the time to give such great reviews.
My wife has been talking about getting a laser. Your channel has been great in helping us research which ones are useful for our needs. Also, it’s always a long process to spend large chunks of money. Keep up the great work, you’re a true inspiration!
Excellent inlays, the Longer 40 watt really does a nice job with your inlays. Your boxes are stunning.
Thank you for the time you put into your reviews.
Thank you very much
Good luck with the channel, looking forward to future vids
Thank you, I enjoy your videos. I am currently looking at the Longer lasers. I do a lot of varied woodworking, including lathe turning, CNC carving with inlays and even do some fractal burning.
Beautiful work! I'm just a smalltime wood tinkerer but would love to have something like this to take my tinkering to the next level. Thank you for all your great teaching moments! You are awesome!
Hey Skyler, I enjoy your vids!! I've never made boxes, but I really like to watch you come up with ways to make some beautiful ones! Thank you, and keep making those vids!
Great video! Absolutely love the inlay work 👏🏼
I've just sat and watched quite a few of your videos! Got some great ideas so thankyou!
Hello Skyler. Pretty awesome laser! I am really excited about taking my woodwork to the next level with using a laser to create beautiful inlays that before were not practical or possible. This is a game changer. Thank you for sharing the gorgeous examples you created.
Hi Skyler. Thank you for another informative review. I purchased the Longer Ray5 10W laser through your affiliate link after seeing your review of that one. I have been very happy with it. You also inspired me to use the laser for doing inlays on the acoustic guitars that I build. I'm constantly blown away by your creativity and drive to learn new things. Keep up the great work and informative content!
Thank you for doing the video, I have been doing woodworking for many years and wanted to expand into laser cutting but I've been on the fence on weather to get a laser cutter or not and this video is making me really want to get one.
Love all your work you do
Hi Skyler - thanks again for taking the time to share your experience with us - sometimes it can be over-whelming to research and select new tools or machines. as I am just beginning my journey into wood-working, your videos have really saved me a lot of time and unnecessary mistakes I would have otherwise made. My son and I are really intrigued with making small jewelry/keepsake boxes that can be handed down generations. Our skills are not there yet but looking back on the last year, I do see our improvements! Your work really makes it easy to take the plunge and want to get into new technologies. Again, thank you so much for the inspiration you provide to us!!!

You are inspiring. My favorite thing to work with is mirrors. I have one running right now.
Hi Skyler,
I have a 5 year old Ortur diode laser and really would love to upgrade but being on a pension for the last 17 years I can't afford it! Lol
Do some amazing work with this laser and it seems to have all the bells and whistles needed to do a professional job.
Thanks so much for giving us all the opportunity to own this laser and I hope to see more of your great work down the road!
Tom
"Having just watched a review of this laser engraver, I'm thoroughly impressed and compelled to leave a glowing review. The exceptional quality showcased in the demonstration blew me away. The precision and detail achieved are truly remarkable. From intricate designs to smooth finishes, it's clear that this engraver sets a new standard in the industry. I can't wait to get my hands on one and unleash my creativity. Highly recommended!"
love all you do thanks
The boxes you build are incredible!
I bought this laser about 3 weeks ago. It’s a beast! Cutting 1/2” plywood is no problem when making name signs for nursery and kids rooms.
I’m new to laser cutting and engraving. I’ve watch a few of your videos and they’ve helped. Thank you
Thank you for your review of the B1 I just got one and love seeing some examples of what can be done.
Very generous of you to give this away. I just saw an ad for this brand about a week ago. Id use this to make items for our local farmers markets. The size is perfect to make those door hanging signs. Maybe start a youtube channel like yours... ok, maybe after I got experienced with it. The inlays are beautiful. Thanks for the opportunity. - Ken
Fantastic.. I’m in love with the laser world.. I’m learning new things every day. I got me a xtool D1 10w pro, now I’m thinking about getting a powerful one.. thanks for sharing your thoughts and all the things you made with this machine..
I'm planning on starting my own woodworking shop to make accessories for my wife's air plant business. This would be a great addition for us.
I like the safety features of this laser. We have our very active grandsons that we have over often, and the odds that I would leave it plugged in once setup are high. Being able to limit the travel when using a smaller program, I believe, would extend the life of the motors with limiting unnecessary travel.
From what I see, the detail is great. I would have never thought to use a laser for inlay. Thanks for the great suggestion. Now, it is making me rethink the order of when to get one on my list of future equipment.
Thanks for your projects and videos
Excellent discription on the Longer B1. Have been keeping an eye on this one. I own a longer Ray 5 10W and cant wait to try a 40 W. Keep up the good videos. Enjoy them all
Yes I am....sorry for delay in responding and understand if I waited too long. Love your videos
Hi Sykler! Great review of the 40W Diode Laser! I'm getting into wood working and the laser looks like an awesome piece of equipment to work with. Keep up your great reviews and sharing all your wood working techniques. You're a incredible teacher with how you show all of your work, including mistakes. Keep up the good work Skyler and I will definitely be waiting for your next videos!
Thank you for inspiring me and getting me back in the shop!!!
You are so welcome!
Hello Skyler, I have been looking at this very model. Thank you for the review very informative.
WOW,I came across your channel to check out the UV resin but then I seen you inlay work was amazing and as started me in a new direction,I didn't know it was possible.I love the strained glass effect with resin,I did use the tape but had difficulty removing the adhesive.
Hello Skyler - I have been enjoying your channel now for a number of months. I appreciate how real and honest you are in your videos. You share mistakes and options for doing things differently if you were to do the project again. I have been into furniture refinishing for years and would love to start using laser for add details to my projects. I will also be trying something new like your boxes and acrylic epoxy in the next few months. I just ran out to purchase the magazine with the box templates you showed a few weeks ago. Also on my bucket list are the cute wooden birds you have been making.
Thank you for offering this fantastic prize, it would be a dream to add this to my tool collection. Continue doing great content.
I love watching your videos. Learning a lot about lasers from you.
Thank you
Thanks for the video. Since watching your vids, box making is now in my plans and a laser as well.
Those inlays are amazing!
That Longer would make quick work of my projects. Great Videos! Keep it up!
I've been looking into lasers for customizing products for our clients. This Longer looks fantastic.
Fantastic giveaway. I’m just starting my journey into woodworking, setting up my workshop. I think lasers are a fantastic addition to the tools a woodworker can have. Good luck everyone ❤️
Love the channel… girl power rocks.
I purchased the Longer B1-30, based on your recommendation - no regrets! Thank you
Great to hear! That is an awesome laser
I have the ray 5 10w now. Wow! Huge difference with this one... and I really love that it has auto air assist.
Yes, air assist is a must. I keep mine all all time at full power
Hi Skyler, love you're videos. I am just starting woodworking and find you're videos very inspiring. A laser would add a another dimension to any workshop
I really appreciate your videos. You put a lot of information in your videos that are really helpful.
I have the longer Ray 5w and it is decent for engraving. I'm glad that they have a 40w. Nice inlays by the way. May have to try that someday if I get a better laser. Thanks for the video!!
Another inspiring video! I’m just starting to build out my shop as a side hustle/ hobby for my retirement in a few years. I’ve learned a lot from your videos. Keep up the great work!!!
It is clear that the 40 watt laser is extremely versatile and a great addition to a woodworking shop. Thanks for another informative video.
My husband and I both enjoy your videos and he is learning woodworking and I like doing Pyrography and he helps finish my projects for sign making and custom projects. We would love the chance to use a laser engraving machine due to their versatility and unlimited options. We would love to expand our project abilities and this would be a great addition to our family of woodworking tools
Skyler, I have the Longer Ray 5 10W laser. As you stated in the video, their customer support is very good. I have had the opportunity to use it and came away satisfied. So, I am looking at them for my next laser, and am drooling a little over the B1 40W. Thank you for the review, you have almost convinced me to pull the trigger, just need to look a little more at all of the options.
I've been wanting to try a Lazer. This looks like a good opportunity with your giveaway. Enjoyed you video.
That laser looks great! It would take my projects to the next level with the designing i currently do. Great vid!
Very nice work. The boxes look fantastic. I wish I could get my miters that clean. Look forward to more tips and tricks as I recently bought a D1 pro. Still figuring it all out. Thanks !
Thank you. Good choice in laser. It’s one of the best. Let me know if you have any questions. Happy to help
Wow! That's awesome. I'd use it to do customizations at craft fairs as well as inlays and children's puzzles.
That's a great idea! Love the puzzle idea
Hi Skyler, I started watching you a few months ago and like your videos of the boxes you make. I have started woodworking a couple of years ago and slowing accumulating the tools I need to make some small projects and was looking at the Longer B1 40W diode laser to do some inlays but had not purchased one yet. I recently commented on one of your videos about hinges and I also had the same problem with the gap they created and had to set them deeper plus I had to flatten the edges better with a plane. I wish you the best of luck with your new website site, have a great year. 😊
Hi Skylar, thank you for the opportunity to see what this laser can do. I have been watching videos for a while and trying to find the right one. I've heard a lot about the longer brand, but to see what you can do with it is a different story. Most reviews don't show as much detail. I started my own business in October of last year, so finding the right laser is very important. I appreciate your review. Thank you for showing what it can do.
I really appreciate the use of hard woods as I prefer them as well. Your work looks really good and I can see you have a good eye for detail. The laser appears to function really well. I am looking forward to adding a laser to my shop as well. Thank you for your time.
Thank you very much!
This is an amazing giveaway. I don't currently have a laser but I would love to have one and try to use it for inlay like you are doing. I love your channel and look forward to each new video. I believe you mentioned that maybe sometime in 2024 you might start selling some of the boxes you make and I am looking forward to that.
I've got a 2 year old Atomstack with a 10W laser module upgrade. I'm looking to get a 40W to upgrade and ran across this review as part of my research. Thank you for the great review.
Been thinking of purchasing a laser for awhile, seems like the perfect fit.
Awesome. I'm a teacher and woodworker and would love this in the classroom.
Hi Carla, you’ve got me so interested in laser woodworking that I am inching closer to buying one, just need to save enough. Love the ability to do inlays soo cool. Love your channel. Keep it up.
Hello Skyler, really enjoy your work, I too work with exotic woods and enjoy doing smaller projects. While I have made tables and other furniture, I have more fun doing boxes, cutting boards. I particularly like the work you have done with epoxy inlays. I have done inlays with my router but am limited by available patterns. Keep the videos coming, very informative.
Wow, really love this laser, I've been looking for something that does it all and this looks like the one. I'm looking to get into making custom boxes and jewelry boxes for people along with other hobby projects of my own and this would be perfect for that. Thanks for videos and keep up the great work.
This would be awesome for large inlays! 🎉
You make such beautiful boxes and I wish I could do half as good. I would love to try inlays on some of my boxes one day. Thanks for the video, I look forward to a new one.
Amazing machine. I have been making and selling wood kitchenware for years, I can see how this machine would be handy for doing some engraving on larger pieces. I have just started making cutting boards, another product where engraving and inlay around the sides would make the piece pop.
Hi Skylar, I wanted to let you know that I started watching your videos to get a review on the laser. But since then, I think my husband and I have watched almost all of them thanks for the inspiration.
I’ve looking at them for a long time think it would be help with my wood stuff making wings for my whirligig s I make plus military signs love your channel
I love your channel. It’s nice to see that you do not edit out your mistakes. Is a great learning opportunity for us viewers. I operate a very small woodworking area in my garage but I would love to have a laser device to work with. Thank you.
I appreciate that!
In the past I have used one of the laser's at our local Library Now using a Shaper Origin have thought about a small laser. You do nice work always interesting content in your videos.
Hey, Skyler. I don't do much woodworking in the winter, and I have never owned a laser. But I love the boxes and inlay patterns that you use, and I would like to work toward using a laser in the shop. I can only hope to do as well as you do. Keep the videos coming! We love you!!!
Hi Skyler, I have watched several of your videos and I must say I like your presentations. They are clear and concise. This is apparent on this video, you have given clear explanations on the projects you have done on the Longer B1 Laser. You have some very special designs on your boxes. I like the idea for simulating stained glass. Thanks for the information and video, looking forward to the next one.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Greetinngs! Beautiful inlays and engravings. I dream for a Laser like yours!
Very interesting that was my thoughts were to engrave box lids personalized
Great job. Thank you. 😊. As for the laser printer I’ve never used one. But I’m fascinated with it. I do all kinds of woodworking as well as metal work. I’m a fabricator and builder. I almost bought a CNC router (compucarve) but haven’t as of yet. My intention was when I do kitchens to offer a design on the cabinet doors. Not all the doors just an accent to customize the job for the client. If they want it. Thank you 😊
Your inlays are incredible. Much better than I can do with a CNC Router
Skyler, thanks for the opportunity to win this laser. I have been woodworking for over 30 years but have never had anything like this. I have been looking at various lasers but have not pulled the trigger yet. That would be an awesome addition to my shop.
Thanks for sharing. I’ve been looking at getting a laser just don’t know which one to get. Thanks for sharing and demonstrating the laser. Like your box’s.
The Longer B-1 looks fantastic. I would use it for creating architectural accents and engraving.
Hello! I've been a subscriber to your channel for a while, and I really appreciate what you create, how you explain the details, and your overall friendly approach. Last March, I bought a RAY5 10W laser, having never tried anything like it before, just by watching CZcams videos. In Romania, I don't have friends or acquaintances who use such a device, and laser products were not widely available for sale until recently. I wanted to share that the joy and desire I had to design and test materials myself were incredible. I got the device as a hobby, to make personalized gifts for friends, to create what I wanted, things I knew they would like, something I couldn't buy anywhere, something to amaze them. And I succeeded in doing that. But then I saw a colleague with a CO2 laser, and it was a game-changer. Unfortunately, I can't afford to buy something like that. I work on my hobby on a small balcony. I read about the Longer Laser B1 40W, and I was amazed and had a strong desire for this product. High speed, a larger work area, more materials, colors... it's a wonder. I would really love to have this product, and I believe it would allow me to create even more spectacular gifts. Plus, it would give me extra joy to see my friends and colleagues amazed by the gifts I've created myself.
I've been watching your videos for some time now and have found them very educational and I've been inspired to try some of your suggestions. I just recently tried some bird mouth joint projects based on your videos. As far as lasers...I've had an Ortur laser for two years now and have done lots of engraving but I find it lacking in cutting capability. The Longer laser seems to have overcome the limitations and exciting to consider the possibilities. Thanks for inspiring once again.
Jim, are you located in the US?
Jim I am happy to let you know you are the winner of the longer 40W laser machine as long as you are located in the US. I dont ship internationally. If you are located out of US, let me know and will select a new winner
I am in US
@@woodworkingwithSkyler Wow ....thats amazing. I realize my response is very late...but if this is still available please let me know the next steps. I also understand if my delay in responding meant you found another person to give it to, Thanks - Jim Iler
I love your videos. I just retired this past May. I did home improvements now I’m setting up my garage to do small projects. I follow you and look forward to your next video.
I would love this for wood engraving and cutting!
Hello! I just found your site this morning and since it's not the end of the month I hope I am in the running for this giveaway. Retired now and having an interest in lasers I am reading, watching, learning and saving my pennies.
Thank you for the content and tips, my wife has Parkinson’s and I am her caregiver woodworking is something I can do for my mental health while home bound, I call it sawdust therapy. The house and shop has all the technology so she can call me for her needs. This would be a wonderful addition to my toy chest
Good evening I do like your content very helpful new to lasers and there is so much to learn thanks for what you do.
Skyler, nice inlayed designs. I’ve just acquired a new CNC router and a 7 watt laser to mount on the frame. I’m just beginning to realize the potential of both tools, and I’ve realized that I bought too small for what I can do. I’m retired and I’m looking forward to a small business utilizing these new tools. Thanks for the demo.
Excellent review. I have a 10W Diode and it is awesome but it would be even more super to get a bigger laser to do even better creations.
Great Video and Channel. I'm just getting started with looking into lasers but would love to add it to my skill range.
Hi, I am a new subscriber. I loved watching your video and seeing some of the projects you can do with the 40w.. I have the Ray5 10w and love it. I cant wait to watch more videos of your to see how to work with resin with the wood projects as well. Woodworking has always been something i have enjoyed. Stay warm!
Sweet laser! I’m just getting into small woodworking projects around the house.
Enjoy watching your videos. I enjoy making wood crafts. I've used CNC, bamd saw, and jug saw. I would love to add a laser to my collection.
Hello Skylar I really enjoyed watching your you tube channel and I'm very fascinated on your woodworking boxes and other reviews. I'm also into woodworking and love building boxes also and taking my laser to the next level similar in what you do. I love your work and I would buy some in future. 🎉❤😂
Hi there, always interested to see what you will do next. Keep the content coming.
With everything you have done, awesome job.. I have been watching your channel for awhile and love your artistic flair.. and by the way.. "AMAZING" photography work.. Maybe in another channel talk about how you took some of those photos.. IE settings, lens and so forth.. but back to the wood working.. I have been looking at this exact laser and was excited about seeing the review pop up. As a hobbyist I am hoping to make some Christmas ornaments, but also maybe make some items for a few of my military friends. Still trying to figure out how you made the Night Mare before Christmas looks so 3D.. maybe the camera.. regardless of the competition.. keep up the great work!
Been looking into a laser because I love crafts of all kind. I like to use sublimation with wood and with the laser I could cut specific shapes and add some engraving. Been leaning towards the longer, thanks for the info.
I really like your designs for your boxes and would love to learn how to use the laser for engraving.
