Can you sand the wood after the treatment? What are the effects? Does it retain the dark color, or rub off right away?

So, if you have 7 different sizes of thin-strip material you use, you have to make 7 separate push sticks? Not my idea of an efficient system, considering re-use later requires you align blade perfectly with the kerf slot. The sandpaper is a GREAT idea that I will try.

Thank you! I just started working with geometric wood art, and I've been having trouble getting consistently sized shapes. I thought a jig would work, but I didn't know how to build it. Your teaching explained it and was very easy to follow. Subscribed. Your work looks very nice btw.

To give a distressed look I use black tea and apply that prior to the steel wool/vinagar..

Nice but simple jig. I've watched other videos about making jigs. Yours is one of if not the best video. I've cut 90 and 45 degree angles using a circular saw and often they didn't come out as accurate as I liked so a jig makes good sense for making multiple cuts.

Good info and explanation of the steps. While I painted my new cabinets, I'm leaving the internal parts (shelves, drawer bodies, etc.), all made of poplar and birch plywood, stained natural. I like the look of semi-unfinished internals.

Wax does not make the board waterproof.

Use this epoxy board as a charcuterie board.

This is such a great way to finish a resin project. It saves time, the wood doesn’t get wet from wet sanding and the resin polishes amazingly well. Another big benefit to your abrasive polish is that it’s non-toxic. There are abrasive pastes that are commonly used for resin that are toxic in nature. Great job Skyler!
