Thank you for adding the UL certification in this review! It's going to be important going forward and I appreciate and thank you and your team for listening to our requests!
You're so welcome!
If you like this, you'll love the next video we're releasing on Wednesday, which was 100% inspired by comments like. yours! -Paul
Great review as always!
You should review the Teverun fighter mini :)
Awsome video. Thanks for posting. I remember buying the old Hover 1-Alpha 12 mile max in 2021 black color. Surprisingly, I traveled 11.5 miles range on eco mode and the battery life was still 5 bars. Even though it states 12 miles max range. But, I did noticed it was much much heavier than the latest verson. Perhaps it became powerful since I charged it 3 hours extra lol.
I can't wait for you to review the Hover-1 pro series boss scooters.
Man you just make all the scooters look cool, not sure the angles you use , great vids ,
Thanks so much! The foot-shot was actually done with my phone! I mounted it to the deck. The audio when I first start the night ride is my phone recording the music from the bluetooth speaker.
Most of other riding shots were done using a newer Insta 360 camera. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuideI mean the angles lok great I’m sure that I say is a monster! Keep em coming just grab me an Apollo city , thanks to the OKAI es30 that get me started
And your channel I must say !
Love the review Rider Guide! I have an idea for you because you guys get so many scooters, you should start to give away the scooters after tested. This would make many people happy and make your videos more fun. This would we better than just having 100 scooters sitting in your warehouse. Just an idea though
We keep all scooters for future comparison content for future dates.
always an awesome review! the bluetooth speaker is so unnecessary but cool lol
Ha ha! Yeah, I thought it was pretty silly until I did that night ride, and then I thought it was a lot of fun. It could be useful for turn-by-turn directions if it were a little louder, or if you’re going less than full speed. It gets hard to hear in full wind. -Paul
Do you guys plan on making a video on the Varla Eagle One V2.0 or Pro in the future? Im also curious if there will also be a video on the Solar FF Lite 2024.
Will possibly do both in the near future!
Do you guys know when that article with the list of UL listed scooters is coming out? I live in New York City and need a scooter to get around however it needs to be UL. This scooter looks cool however it’s a little underpowered and too little range for what I need, thanks!
we will be on the lookout.
Jeez hover-1 is on a roll these past few months. First a dual motor scooter and now this? Amazing.
More to come! I think we’re getting the ACE R350 and ACE R450 soon too! -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Alright hover 1 is literally just showing off at this point 😭
Can't wait to get myself one of their scooters!
I've had 3 hover 1 electric scooters including the one on the video (maybe older model) and they all last less than 1 a year. I've had 2 alphas, 1 I crashed it and the brakes kept grinding the motor, the other, I popped the front inner tube and tried to fix it with slime but I messed it up
ive got the hover 1 pro boss it does very well performance wise also the night owl does well a better controller on the night owl
Thanks for letting us know!
I think we’re getting the Ace R350 and Ace R450 next from Hover-1
-Paul
you seen that escooter that can be converted to a snowmobil? would be jokes to see you guys out using one but I dont think you guys got snow in frisco?
One of our team members lives near Toronto and really wants one! It’s only snowed once in SF during my lifetime, but we have snow 3 hours away in the winter. -Paul
I would be sooooo down to watch that video haha @@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
It sucks, just saw a video of it and as expected, its not strong enough to handle snow. Cool concept, but its needs at least 3000w
Wheres the snowmobile one its always snow here like 8 months of the year
About how much time of fun can you have before it dies? (Not in Eco mode)
Looking for my first scooter!
Depends on rider weight and conditions!
Weight is 130 pounds, can that go over 1 hour of ride time?
How does the Hiboy s2 compare to this and is the Hiboy also UL certified?
Yes! I reached out to them recently and all current Hiboy models are UL.
The S2’s top speed is about 1mph faster, and performance of the S2 overall is a little higher, but the Alpha 2.0 has a much smoother ride due to air-filled tires vs the semi-solid flat proof tires of the S2. The Alpha 2.0 corners better because its tires have more traction as well. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuideThat’s great to hear, I live in New York so UL certification is necessary. I need the extra performance so I think I will go with the Hiboy. It is also on sale for only $299 right now.
Hey was the Gx3 video delayed? Don't tell me you guys got an "error code" lol. Also, I thought it was coming out first of the year.
We still haven't received our scooter! I think they may be making some updates first! -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Gotcha Thanks for responding! I think I've. heard of some error codes. My brother got the GX3 and it had an error. He disconnectted and reconnected and it looks like it's working as of now but I think they had some problems with it! Do you guys have any idea when? They as a complany don't seem to be the easiest to get a hold of!
This scooter is so fun!
I saw in the reviews on the site link that one of these scooters caused a fire in someone’s house. In all your scooter reviews, have you ever experienced that?
We have not had any scooters caught on fire!
My first ever electric scooter was the Hover 1 Alpha lol I opened it up and ripped out the speaker to save battery.
Currently rocking a Segway Max G2!
Segway is awesome!
❤
How much
Click link in description for current price!
Wow! An amazing value.
Are any scooter (or e-bike) companies using Lithium Iron Phospate (LiFePO4) batteries yet? More charge cycles; safer, less flammable; price is coming down are some advantages. Tesla and BYD have switched over to them. They don't contain expensive and potentially harmful nickel and cobalt.
A new power station I bought uses them and can give me 6 times (or more) cycles over older lithium-ion technology!
I haven't heard of anyone using them on scooters yet, or at least no one is calling it out specifically. Do you know what the energy density is like? It must still be very good if Tesla is using them.
I'm really happy to see more and more scooters getting UL certified. I've spoken with a few battery engineers and their consensus was that the BMS was more important than the cells themselves! This was really surprising to hear. -Paul
@RiderGuide That's just it. They have a lower energy density AND a lower operating voltage than nickel magnesium cobalt (NMC) or nickel cobalt aluminum (NCA) batteries.
This scooter was good for the time that it did last, which is only 1 year. Best part about it is the fat deck, i can pack my wife on it 😂
What happened after a year Mark? -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide the front inner tube popped, I tried to fix it with green slime but hole was too big and then the green slime leaked into the motor. After it leaked into the motor, the motor slips from the tire and doesn't go anymore
@@MarkDanger777 sounds fixable with a new tube and some motor cleaning, but it’s not always the easiest to get scooters apart! -Paul

Thanks for commenting! -Paul
I have some issues with the scooter 🛴 some times don't reach 18miles speed ..and stay at 12 or 14miles and hr .but I been used for 5 months already.
Depends on weight and riding conditions
