Thanks for being the soundtrack of my studying!
you can't call Reimer terrible after he got the win vs Toronto, respect the man
We had three second round picks in 2011. Nikita kucherov was on the board for all three of them. We passed all three times.
... Ken Holland passed on him 3 times
I believe they said that a double header with lions and wings happened 8 times before.
Utah Grizzlies? Kinda like it
On the expansion thing and the timing of the releases... man, that's an awful look for the league. They're going to respond publicly within minutes of the Hockey Canada story going live the way it did with a press release that basically says "thank you for your interest" is really *really* weak.
However, the idea of relocating the Coyotes is a *lot* murkier. You have an owner who isn't (publicly, anyway) interested in selling. Ryan Smith can want the Coyotes, but if Meruelo can move the team himself. People forget this little fact, and it's stunning. The league cannot simply "put the Coyotes in Utah" without Meruelo selling or agreeing to move the team himself just doesn't happen. The only thing the league can do is contract the Coyotes out.
Based on your guys logic with prospects, wouldn't it be a better path to "mortgage" the future for established NHL talent?
Grand Rapids Griffins $2 hot dog nights is cool, but the lines are so long you will miss ALOT of the game. There was 1 maybe 2 places that have the $2 hot dogs.
Just like booze, have to have pregame hotdogs tailgaters so as to not need to hit the hot dog line!😅
@@sportsfix6975 Lol
Trade Husso + a player or daft pic for M.A.F from Minnesota!!!!! You have a great combo goaltending dueo then!! By the time M.A.F retires we still have Lyon and Cossa and Augustine would be ready! Wishing!
Augustine is a ways out, my guy. Unless MAF plays until he's 43 years old.
I don’t want 36 teams that’s 4 more teams we gotta beat. NHL already has a problem with playoff teams not making the playoffs cuz there is only 16 spots
Lt Dan didn't have any knees after injury....
I'm not a fan of further expansion becuase they talent level is already watered down too much after adding just two teams. Defense and goaltending are gonna be a thing of the past. Might as well just watch lacrosse.
Damnit Evan. Nuclear, not “nucular”.
If anything the NBA will always of the model/rival for the NHL. No way the NHL ever competes with NFL or MLB.
Gary Bettmann was a close confidant of David Stern on learning how to steward a league, yet over the years both leagues share a lot of arenas. Yet the NBAs fan attendance to live games has always been a pittance for decades,, but they make it up on TV deals, advertising, and shoe endorsements. There was even talk of the NBA folding before Jordan arrived to Chicago and it changed the outlook of the league as a whole.
Gambling revenue is a HUGE part of a team's income now...as a matter of fact, I can't find how much the leagues split anymore. The last figure I saw last was for 2018, right when live betting on your devices was taking off..it's definitely billions per year for the league.
@@sportsfix6975 Would you gamble your money on a game officiated by NHL or NBA officials? Or even NFL officials at that. Gambling is a front company for money laundering and other misdeeds.
@@ericscottstevens It's not just the officials managing a games outcome.
As an NHL fan in Utah, I'd prefer an expansion team. A new team has less baggage. However, Utah is ready for an NHL team. We are a hotspot for winter sports, we may not have the size of Phoenix, but we have a passionate fan base.
What would you name the team? I had Utah Grizzlies
@@bardown390 nothing with 2Zs and nothing cheesy that's for sure
@FalconsLedge kinda fits with the Jazz and Buzz though
@@bardown390 oh gosh please no.
I mean Grizz is fine but I can't think of anything zz that wouldn't be absolutely stupid
Really wish Patreon questions would stop asking dumb dream hypotheticals about our prospects. Also I'm starting to notice more and more separation with the wildcard. if it's going to be 2 Atlantic teams between TB/Toronto/Detroit.
Wide right is wild stuff 😂
Utah GDP: $270 billion
Arizona GDP: $360 billion.
If you haven't figured it out by now, sports is about the gambling revenue the leagues get....$110 billion isn't all that much of a difference, but how much does Utah gamble on the Jazz? Is it more than Arz bets on the Suns? Vegas didn't get a frachise because of the obviously natural hockey atmosphere it presents, it's about the gambling dollah bills!!
Of course Winnipeg loses to Toronto lol. Seems to be the way it goes. The Utah Polygamists isn’t something I care to see.
My company has a location in Utah id love to move there 😂 bring it on... maybe having 2 or more wives fighting with eachother keeps them off your back 😂
