    Shawn Hammond grillin the Triple Play folks with hard-hitting journalism. Great product. Thanks for asking the right questions!

      Yeah, all except does it track better since its wireless...:) Thats what Im wondering anyway.

      @@Superjet113 It will not suffer radio interference in difficult RF environments, but otherwise it tracks essentially identically to the wireless version.

    They didn't seem very well prepared to demo this product.

    More on the hardware because we all have software.

      And the software (or synth hardware) we have is going to be far better than their iPad app.

    No discussion of latency, tracking accuracy, or dynamics? If those aren't extremely good, it's useless at any price regardless of 'features'.
    The synth pedals are getting good enough to make midi guitar redundant.

      Totally agree. The new Boss SY-1 sounds fantastic in the demos I’ve seen so far.

    • @mrjteele
      @mrjteele Před 5 lety +2

      I am responsible for software and firmware development for Fishman, and my perspective is that there are unique advantages to our divided pickup and pitch to MIDI technology. The latency, tracking accuracy, and dynamics are arguably the best in the industry. Having said that, these are good times for electronic musicians with lots of interesting choices available.

      @@KRayxKodessA You sound really ignorant. The sy-1 synth is trash. This pickup can play any instrument. The limit is your imagination.

    Plz help… *For live performance.. Can you run guitar rig with the tripleplay (wireless)? Separately or mixed/blended?
    Also, where or how does the sound of Tripleplay come from? Studio monitors or is there a way to go through amp?
    Thank you in advance 🙏🏼

    Is it powered by the iPad, or have its own battery? Do you make loops first and then record, or can you just play and hit record?

    I know they are choked that they created an iPad app, but what I really want to know is: can I plug the Connect into a physical synth with a USB input and trigger it?

    • @mrjteele
      @mrjteele Před 5 lety

      Yes. Sadly most physical synths don't provide a USB input, but for those that do it will just work. For all other hardware synths you can buy the Fishman FC-1 or other USB to MIDI device such as Kenton and connect to the synth with an ordinary MIDI cable.

      Zed Chuva I’m sorry man but a musician without an iPad today is behind the curve. I’m no Apple lover and dislike some of the heavy handed practices they employ but there are so many great apps out there for iPad/iPhone that you are hobbling yourself by not having one.

    • @ZedChuva
      @ZedChuva Před 5 lety +2

      @@tomcoryell I'd rather go without a computer and phone, than sell my soul to the corpse of Steve Jobs. Apple are THE worst company in existence, and they'll never, ever get a dime from me. Their products are fine, but the company behind them are the literal worst, and the fanboys that tout the lower cased "i", are just as bad. Not saying you're one, but just look at all the sheeple at the iStore, standing in the iLine waiting for iService from and iEmployee. Nah son... rather live in a cave, thanks. There ARE other options, like, I don't know, Android, THE most popular mobile OS on the planet? I get it tho. When developing for iThings, you only need to focus on ONE OS, and not multiple versions... even tho developing for IOS is a nightmare.
      Sorry for the rant, but I've been at the bar all night. haha

      I’m a developer and music producer. Its not about laziness I can ensure you. Android is poor on audio with latency issues, that’s why you won’t see the best music apps out there on the Google Play Store. I don’t stand for Apple and don’t love their market behavior. In fact I used to be an Android fan and Apple hater. Tom is definitely right... You should sell your soul to the deceased Steve Jobs and rejoice with all the goods you can find on IOS. I promise you will feel good about and unleash more creativity than you will ever know. Just buy an used iPhone aor iPad and give no money directly to the devil. Hahahahaha

    • @deldia
      @deldia Před 5 lety

      I hear what you're saying but android is way way behind iOS in terms of music production capabilities. Android themselves don't control the hardware so they can't rely on the phone manufacturers to support everything they want. Apple control the OS and hardware and have a very long history of music producers buying their products.
