  • Today I change the oil in my 2007 Yamaha R6! Pretty simple project to maintain your motorcycle. This should be the same for all R6 model years. Very easy process and hopefully this video can help you on your own bike! It's something that can be done in the garage to save you money from taking it to the dealer!

The 2008 R6 (13s) oil filter has proven to be the hardest oil filter to remove of all the bikes I have owned. I tried numerous tools before having success with one of those ratchet style removal tools with the 3 angled knurled arms. These tools have mixed reviews but it worked for me with both removal and also fitting. I found that a bicycle inner tube wrapped round the filter to protect from the knurled arms helps to protect the filter when tightening and a 3/4 turn once screwed on is all that's needed.

How hard is it to mention which way a bolt turns? Not a single mention of that. A tutorial would do exactly that

How so!? It's all the same, there oil is probably manufactured by the same company. There's only like two or three oil companies, so it's insignificant on the brand. Plus it's cheaper and does the exact same thing...

Always loved riding but ever since becoming a physician and witnessing what happens after the ER, I will never ride again. You may become a great rider but the idiot in a cage... can end or make you wish your life ended.

yea just be really vigilant and careful whenever you ride. + Suggestions to expand watcher base, maybe could start some small car restore/build, maybe an older 240z or foxbody or whatever else could potentially get a new sub base/ keep growth coming / generate content for more videos.
