(06’-16’) Yamaha YZF-R6 Oil and Air Filter Change

  • Today I install a new Air Filter and do an Oil Change on my 2007 Yamaha R6! Motorcycles are so cheap and easy to maintain, you need one! So much fun! Doing the oil change for the 2007 Yamaha YZF R6 is very straight forward, and so is the air filter! Afterwards I take the R6 through some tunnels and had some fun ripping on the bike! My bike has a mid pipe and the GYTR exhaust!

    Couple things to note.
Put oil inside the new filter before installing.
Some of the screws you removed were unnecessary. (tank)
Flash your ecu on 06/07 as they have low idling issues and oil starvation issues. Bauce Racing would be recommended.

Aside from a leaking fork seal that I had to replace (which I've only done once, not something to routinely do), the oil/filter is about it! Still have the chain on it from when I bought it, that needs to be adjusted every so often which takes about 5 minutes until a new one is needed.
