    It is like watching a surgeon, performing intricate operations... Somehow, it is quite mesmerizing. HAHA!
    Thank you for sharing this upgrade!

      Glad you enjoyed it! But my eyes are getting too old for the tiny pieces :(

    Cool video I do notice a difference with turning radius and with climbing. Looking forward to seeing you run some lines.

      Yes, that's what I am expecting, but will see how much difference it makes when I run the lines.

    Thank you for sharing, this is the next upgrade I want to do. I'll watch for the results, like to see how it performs on the rocks

      I have done testing on my 1/10 quite extensively. 14% OD will make a bit of difference, but not as much as most folks expect, but it should still result in tighter turn ratio and slight improvement on climbs. Hoping to be able to get out this weekend to test it out.

    Great video again! Can't wait so see how it performs on the rocks!

      14% OD should be incremental, but I can't wait to take it and see how it does.

    Cool teaching and learning and testing.☕👍🏗️🤨 I'm thinking 1/24 scale vs. any truck challenge, maybe 🤔 hmmm... something to think about.😏 nice relaxing review.

      I run my SCX24 at the same lines that I run for my 1/10 scale to get a feel for it. It actually does fairly well especially on sidehilling, but on certain lines, it's just in a different league. But I do like the idea...something to think it through.

    Very nice demonstration !
    I saw it in action and it shows promise .

      I would have preferred if they underdrive the rear instead of overdrive the front, but I will take it. Especially with stock motor, I need every bit of advantage that I can get. Hoping to be able to get out this weekend to test it out.

      What would happen if your rear was jacked up like mine with that on it ? czcams.com/video/zPv172ZEKRE/video.html

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  Před 3 lety

      @rc construction an play The overdrive impacts front wheel speed. The pull of front wheels has bigger impact than push of the rear wheels on climbs. Any reason for jacking up the rear as much as you have set up. More than climbs, I would assume it will hurt on downhills raising the rear CG.

      No I just had them laying around , the original shocks provided 0 bounce an bottomed out right off the bat I'm looking at new set all the way around it .

    There wasn’t any orings with my stock scx24 jlu v3, do they normally come with them on the older models? Just curious if maybe I don’t need them? I’m using an injora overdrive btw.

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  Před 6 měsíci

      At least for me, the 1st release of scx24 seem to come with orings. It's possible that it's not needed. I have mainly used Treal, but I heard good things on Injora as well.

    • @travispratt6327
      @travispratt6327 Před 6 měsíci

      @@BigSungHobbies I figured it out, on the jlu v3 at least there’s only one oring on the stock one towards the diff cover. I put one on each end and it was binding. I took the oring towards the driveshaft off and now it all seems good.

      @travispratt6327 Před 6 měsíci

      Does make me curious why though… I wonder if anything else is different, if I get diff covers will they not fit mainly. Guess I’ll just have to find out.

    Hello guys, I mounted the treal overdrive, putting an O ring on each side of the helical, despite this the movement is not as smooth as it should, it tends to impinge a little. Do I use it like this or do I damage it in the long run? Thanks

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  Před 2 lety +1

      I didn't notice anything like you are stating after my install. Mine was pretty smooth. It might be a bit more work, but maybe check for any binds?
