Juiced Rip Racer Ebike Unboxing & Assembly

  • It came our earlier this year but the price has never been this low. Class 2 is $999! For a 52v ebike, that’s insane! As of this moment, the Class 3 version in yellow is cheaper than the other colors, $1,299 instead of $1,399.
    Been wanting a Juiced ebike for over a decade and it’s finally in my garage! Time to assemble! Installing rear rack and front basket too. Kids are going to love it.
    It’s true that the brakes do squeal out of the box. During initial assembly may be a good time to install the resin pads ($10 for Shimano ones Amazon). You’ll need to shave down the width of one on each pair to install them into the stock calipers. Half the housing of each front/rear caliper unfortunate is not symmetrical with its other half. Quality control issue nut once resolved, the bike is tons of fun.
    This CZcamsr produced a really thorough overview of the bike's performance:

      You'd have to buy the whole thing and sell the battery as Juiced doesn't sell the bike w/o it as far as I know. If you're looking for a controller, there's ones available at Aliexpress. No, it is no lighter than most e-bikes with this spec and aligns in the 65lb range. I don’t know if any 52v 750w motor ebike that would weigh that little. Even road or hybrid bikes with much lower specs will weigh 42lbs.

      @Funcentric  Před rokem

      Yup, congrats. I’m not big on seats. I think a seat upgrade is very much over rated. The reason why it’s such a popular upgrade is because a vast majority of ebike buyers are somewhat new to cycling. There’s not a high conversion of cyclist to become e-cyclists. So they’re just not used to riding a bike at all. So any seat they want to feel like a couch. Each to their own. I’m fine with mine. I like the look and the kids need the handlebar on the back so I I’m keeping mine.

    • @Funcentric
      @Funcentric  Před rokem

      How fast? All ebikes in the USA are supposed to be capped off at 20mph whether pedaling or using throttle. No matter the price, make or model, they are all regulated the same in North America. Some controllers on Class 3 bikes allow you to unlock it for offroad use and can top out at 28mph.
      However, this video is about a Class 2 bike and does not have that capability. Class 3 is also sold by Juiced and as I mentioned in the video, is very similar with the exception of the display/controller.

      @@Funcentric no like how far can it go how many miles

    • @Funcentric
      @Funcentric  Před rokem

      @@sofiamehmood7345 No one can really tell you b/c of all the variables like riding style, terrain, load, etc. However the generic equation is (voltage x ah) / 20. So in this case, (52v x 16ah) / 20 = 41 give or take. Again, that's a big assumption that 1 mile will require 20ah to travel.
      If you're heavier or running offroad or are riding faster, you may need to divide it by 30. Where as if you're more conservative, weigh less, stay only on paved roads, you may divide it by 15. But to compare bike to bike, you can use that equation.
      I have a couple more videos about how to choose an ebike. I recommend you take a look so you don't spend money in the wrong places for something that may look attractive, but doesn't suite you as well.
