    The Juiced RipRacer takes what Juiced is known for, namely powerful motors and batteries and turns it into a self described "fun-size" ebike. This ebike comes in a Class 2 or Class 3 variation and is a great option for those on a budget and shorter riders.

      Nicely reviewed........one of thee best in depth reviews for the Juiced Bikes RipRacer on CZcams. You covered it all with such a honest and non salesman approach. Good job young man......I purchased this bike after watching many reviews, yours pushed me to hit the buy button.......could not be happier with my purchase. This is everything a BMX style E Bike should be...It's a ton of fun and Torra Harris has built it with that in mind obviously. If anyone has questions I would love to answer them also. I have riden mine long enough to know the pros and very few cons of the RipRacer...The Cons are basically what this bike was never meant to be. The Pros are that this was built by Torra to be a BMX style E Bike with everything taken into consideration and built to satisfy that rider......Thanks

    By far, the most comprehensive review I've seen on this bike and extremely informative. I ordered a RipRacer last week for that great sale price but I wish they'd get on the ball at Juiced since they already charged my CC 3 days ago and it hasn't even been shipped yet. Hey Ryan, great review. We just got my wife's RipRacer today. We set it up in about 45 minutes. We went for a ride and she loves it. We purchased two RipCurrent S bikes a couple of years back. She has always felt that she was over biked and wanted something more nimble but still with a fat tire. I was initially skeptical of the single gear but after I rode it realized that you can make up for the lack of lower gears with the throttle. One just needs to adjust their habits. I found it quite fun to ride and will probably steal a ride on her new bike occasionally. After we went for our ride, I started looking for more RipRacer videos and found yours. We were really glad we did and both thought you were very thorough and did a great job of presenting its features. Additionally, I really didn't miss the torque/cadence sensor on my RipCurrent S.

    I think the RipRacer is sporty and cool, and I've always respected Juiced build quaility and performance. A friend has a HyperScrambler 2, and while racing he could almost keep up with my Rad Mini. Those bottle cage bosses give you three positions to mount your bottle or lock, but it also gives you a place to mount another battery! 😉

    Thank You for reviewing the bike. I was on the fence of getting the bike. My hesitation was because I'm six two and thought the bike may be too small. I bought the Rip Current S and love the bike. It is very similar to the speed results and would love to have the bigger controller. I still think the RipRacer is an awesome bike for the money. The only thing I wouldn't like on the Rip Racer, is taking out the battery to turn on the bike. The battery is heavy. Thanks again and just subscribed.

      Just got my wife's Rip Racer today. Took about 45 minutes to set-up (we took our time and watched the Juiced video on setting it up). You don't have to take the battery all the way off to access the power button. Turn the key; pivot the battery about two inches; hit the power button and reseat. Easy peasy and because you are pivoting the battery you don't even feel the weight of it.

I got the blue one coming. I'm excited to finally purchasing my first ebike. It was expensive but it will be worth it. I want to use it to travel to work and back and to get fit again with exercise. Well presented, informative review. Nice to hear a review from an adult who is not trying too hard to be “dope” or “hip” which just ends up being immature. As a shorter rider, I really appreciate the choice of a smaller framed bike like this without a lot of extras which keeps the initial price reasonable. Love the BMX bars, knobby tires, and single speed, no derailleur gearing, the only thing I would like to see as a possible option are alloy wheels for looks and low maintenance.

    I don’t fully understand the point of “race mode” I guess I understand that it give higher peak wattage, but it didn’t result in a higher top speed…did you try accelerating in race mode from a stop vs other modes…maybe it is stronger/faster acceleration?
    I was considering buying a Lectric XP 2.0 and then saw this. I know it’s more…$1699 now instead of $1599, but it seems like some things are nicer here than the Lectric…not much more range though and I don’t really care if I go 15mph up a hill as long as whichever one I buy can do a hill, which I know the Lectric can. That might make a good video…comparing this, the Lectric XP 2.0 and Lite…as the Lite doesn’t have fenders and stuff either for $799. Any idea when the rack and fenders will be available from Juiced for this Rip Racer…they say out of stock currently.

    • @EbikeEscape
      @EbikeEscape  Před 2 lety

      From what we gathered with chatting to Juiced: Race mode doesn't give a higher top speed (as it is limited), but rather it gives the motor complete access to available wattage, and provides better acceleration.
      Also about the accessories. We were originally told they would be available in July, however it does look like that date has been removed from the website. We will reach out and see if we can get a better "in stock" date. -JT

    I am so torn between this one and the Luna Eclipse! I like the speed and power of this one with its 52v battery and 25 amp controller, and I love this high viz yellow color! The biggest bummer for me is that it has no suspension! The Eclipse is also a BMX style 20” folder with dual suspension, but mechanical brakes and only gets to 25mph. Yes, you could spend thousands of dollars on an eBike czcams.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ and get something much higher quality. However, if you're looking for a basic model to try out eBiking this is a great choice. The assembly is easy as far as bikes go (took about an hour for me to do, I'm not an expert). All tools needed are included. I added the plastic mud guards you see and a more comfortable seat. The other reviews are correct that you're probably going to want a better seat (Giddy Up! Bike Seat is what I got - super comfortable). The battery easily handles a 2-4 hour ride if you add some of your own pedal power. I haven't even gotten it up to top speed yet - it is very fast. Components are not top of the line, but decent for the price and work just fine. It works great on dirt roads and singletrack and pavement although too heavy to do tricks or any serious technical mountain biking. I'm looking forward to using it a lot over the summer. Tons of fun!
