This would have been nice months ago, when everyone was calling them and their children all types of names, or when August Alsina went on a hobo tour and tried to profit off of people who helped him, or when every one in the media tried to do the same, or when Several people on the internet tried to Jada into a pedophile, even though that man was grown.
The SAG Awards was a big night for Will and by extension Jada. Bringing up a situation from their past which they have dealt with both privately and publicly on such an important night in Will’s career was inappropriate. It’s like making a joke about your friend’s dating history at their wedding reception. You just don’t do that.
It was so awkward and slightly cruel! I felt sorry for Will and especially for Jada.

As the age old saying goes, it's a time and place for everything. The red carpet/SAG awards was not the place for that. This was about Will's career and the milestone an award like this is. This wasn't a blog, podcast, or tabloid. Had the Smith's retorted with a Trans joke, it would've been off with their heads. We all have to do better.
