- The bottom of the valance has way too many issues to repair separately. Can't we just replace the whole thing? Let's make our own panel from scratch

The financial support to the channel doesn't buy you anything special. There is no such thing as early access or VIP content here as I don't want to take away from those who can't afford it. The financial support is your way of saying "Thank you Elin for taking the time to edit these videos!", but only if you feel like it and you can afford it. Just being here, watching, liking, sharing is also a big support and I appreciate it.
THANK YOU!

I'm super impressed by your achievement with that panel!
What a job Elin. You really are amazing 💪☀️👍🙂🙂
Nice work. More people need to know about the shrinking disc. They are magic.
Nice work Elin keep em coming.
Your work and skill is amazing.
Nicely done!
Great job Elin. Always enjoy your work.
Elin your killing it.very impressive work, total transformation from what was to what it is now.just continue doing what you do best. Great video as always 😎😎😎👍👍👍
A beautiful piece of sculpture.
The pattern method you are using can be also handy for custom molded plexiglass. Say you have an old car, bike or vintage airplane that needs glass which is NLA. Mark regular stations, pull your Guages and use them to build a smooth surfaces buck. Heat the plexiglass in an oven you also made from scratch. When pliable hand form over buck. When plastic cools, you now have fitted glass. Always glad to teach the Wrays of the world. Best Wishes.
Good work - thanks for sharing.
An amazing piece of work Elin.. I haven't ever watched Wray, but with this type of creative work, I always think that you'll find your own pathways to get the required result provided the necessary skills are already present, which they are with your good self.
Great work Elin. When I look back to your first videos, you really have come a long way, you should be proud of yourself. I've tried the Wray Schelin technique, and I am convinced that the only way the flexible shape patterns work really well is due to the fibre glass tape he uses. Other tapes seem to flatten out with very little pressure. Anyhow, your end result has turned out really good, just a mirror image piece to make now!
Elin, you are an artist!
Amazing work!
Amazing Elin... you're an absolute magician 🎩
Elin, I enjoy watching how you process what needs to be done to create a new panel. Thank you for the journey!
I've watched your paper masking tape template a few times trying to understand it better and the one tink you may have missed is that since it is paper it has a grain and the way it is made means that the long grain is the direction in which it is made so across the tape roll is short grain. When taper stretches or shrinks it is the grain that moves and not the length. So the last thing you want when making a template is when it can stretch or shrink in one direction, To maintain the shape the tape has to be laid down like plywood. One layer vertical and the next horizontal and a third vertical again. That 1st section turned out well and the other side should also be great. Well done and thank you for showing.
I can't wait to see so many missmatched parts forming a great looking body.
You are Wray #2. A few more pieces like this and you will be a master like him, I know he says it doesn't matter if you work in steel or aluminum, but I feel, from my limited experience, that steel is harder to move than alumimum, which he works with most of the time. Remember metal is clay!
I look forward to seing it come together as a new lower lip.
Sensational work Elin. Loved watching this one. Your practical application of Wray Shellin's technique was super helpful. Can't wait to see these new panels on the car.
Wow
Fabulous work 😍
Elin all of that metal shaping was totally brilliant ( despite being really tedious and annoying) but you can appreciate why 60s companies like Lotus and Shelby decided to mould the more difficult shapes from fibre glass right from the start…
Hi Elon, when you are showing us dents and hollows in a panel, it would be good to use a torch shining almost parallel to the panel surface.
Amazing work.
enjoyable Elin... This is an example where a stretching hammer and a sand bag would have gotten you to the end much quicker. You could then have used the planishing hammer and wheel to smooth out the stretch (walnuts) that the hammer got you. I personally like paper patterns more than the tape method as it is too easy to stretch the tape.
....Wray is a genius with metals.....
I saw a guy did that with fiberglass string tape for patterns he wanted to reuse because it won't stretch and strong
First, and probably the only, from Argentina! Nice job on the first half of the lower valance! Looking forward to seeing it joined with other half and to the valance as well. Enjoy you vacation, see you when you return.
How did I get 1st???
Actually there were about 10 of us before you but we let you have it today because we know how much it means to you. 😊
@@philtucker1224 Thanks!!
