I'm very satisfied with my new 4060 I got a week ago. I upgraded from 1060 6GB so in my eyes this thing is a monster. Combined with Ryzen 5 5600x CPU, at 1080p it runs all games at ultra graphics well over 60 fps most of the time. Unreal Engine 5 games? No problem. DLSS 3 got you covered.
Update: Unreal Engine 5 games at ultra settings run at 80-180 fps. Very optimised graphics engine.
ya I have 2060 and was thinking about 3070 but I think 4060 is pretty great with dlss3 frame regen.
@@luckykari9448I have this card and a 600watt PSU no prob
i am literally doing the exact same thing with same parts
It's a good investment.@@JappyH8620
I'm upgrading from a gtx 1060 oc 3gb I know we got the same gpu, but I also am using an amd ryzen 5 3400G with 16gb ram,I'm getting 2 more sticks to swap it out for 32gb
Great review I am glad you covered all the things we might need to know and more well done
Very well rounded review, touching on all the key technical points. Well done, Stefan and team! 👏👏👏👏
Thanks Alex!
What a GREAT review Stefan…your videos are so cool and nicely explained…AWESOME🎉😊
did it produce any coil wine while gaming ?
For a first pc coming from ps5 is it worth the switch or am I downgrading myself? Don’t really know much about the 8gb vam but shouldn’t the 4060 be good just because the 3060 came before it? Good for gaming right?
Great amd informative precise content.
That's awesome , keep up your great content 🤙🏻
Glad you like the video! What would you like to see next?
Awesome video Stefan🎉😊
Damn...it do be a sexy looking card but I almost feel like they made it look good to make up for the fact that it just just performs as it should and although I don't know much about DLSS(Deep learning Super Sampling), it seems like this card would be pretty avarage without it.
The price though...helps a lot with making a decision, but should I rather wait for the 4070 to "future proof" my PC at a budget? 🧐
Yeah also think I am going to wait for the 4070
@@pieterdewaal1484 seems like the smart option, right! Linus also doesn't have a lot of good to say 😐
im thinking- might even be best to wait another year... its a nice "budget" card for new builds but im not so sure about weather its a good option for an upgrade
@@stefanvdmerweshould i upgrade to it. I currently have a rx5700xt
I grabbed a 4060 for 300 after my 3080 croaked. The lower power draw is definitely welcome. I usually play older games and can only really fit in an hour or less in a day so 8gb at 1080 or less is frankly is more than good enough for me. I also purposefully turn off my fps counter. As long as the frames run smooth I am happy.
which is better with i5 9th rtx 4060 or gtx 1660 super i mean the cheapest one ? Im planning to upgrade to my cpu to i5 9th and my gpu btw that why im asking
The 4060 is the better card but the 1660 super is the cheaper option so go with whats in your budget, maybe get something in the middle like a 3060?
I need to upgrade and I was looking at this one or the asus gaming ti 4060 . Idk what one is better
The 4060ti will perform better than the 4060 in most cases
Great video 😊
I found an Rtx 4060 Gigabyte Eagle with three fans and an Asus with two fans, all at the same price, but the gigabyte version is not currently available. Should I wait for it or buy an Asus and there is no difference between them?
Luckily the cards don't run very hot even with 2 fans but if you're worried about thermals then 3 is the better bet
Sounds supeerrr cool.
Nicely explained and reviewed... 👌👌
thanks!
Willthis running 4k/60 well?
This is why i love pc honestly thinking to buy one
I might get this card, just because its such an easy upgrade from a 1060 6gb and heck its cheap!
Also i hate video games but maybe this will help me in csgo so might be worth.
Awesome video😊😊
This or a gigabyte eagle 4060ti? Big difference!?!?
I had a GTX 1650 ans started to play Palworld and l had lots of lagg ans stuttering... then i tried a Radeon RX 6500XT and there was so much problems with AMD Adrenalin (pc even got blocked after a windows update !) and adrenalin bugg still isnt fixed... so i've just bought this RTX 4060 as it was the cheapest option at my local retail store and now it works so much better @ 120 fps in high with a 1080p.. so i'm very happy with it now compared to what I had and what I can afford.
Budget is always the most important thing, enjoy it!
Bought myself an rtx 3050 and I cant complain, although not a lot of people like the card haha
It is not to bad😂 love the video
it comes with a special cable to connect to a psu?
i have an antec620
This one used a normal 8pin connector
@@WeDoTech thaank you!!
Nice. Upgrading to this from a gtx 1650
Thats a nice upgrade, enjoy all the extra frames!
Got a GTX 1660s the now and wanting to play games at a higher than 50-60 fps and medium graphics. I think this card will last me a good four to five years, thank you
I'm glad I could help!
@@WeDoTech 👍
Is the back plate made in metal o plastic? Thks :)
Metal
I currently have a gym 1070ti and looking to upgrade gpu, I’m just looking for a card that is worth upgrading to that doesn’t cost an arm or leg
Maybe look at the RX 7700XT or wait for the super cards to bump down the regular prices
Remember to upgrade cpu too.
I am thinking of upgrading to this card. You might have convinced me👌
Which card do you have right now?
Awesome piece of tech
Will 450 w psu can run it
Asus and Nvidia both recommend at least 550w, so it might run depending on your other parts but it probably wouldn't be the most stable or safest option.
Love die vid
this card is better than people than people think or give it credit for i game on a 4k monitor with it and it plays at 160 fps on cod
Yeah it's an absolute beast! Do you have one?👀
Cool video, I am looking to upgrade parts of my brother's pc . I am excited for your giveway as well
I have a 450 dollar budget for my graphics card and it's my first pc
What should I buy?
Someone Please help me I'm really confused
$450 is a healthy budget....the 4060 would fit in nicely!👌
@@WeDoTech thanks!
Man your video and the amount of value your pack in them is insane. Would you be up to collabing for your video editing to elevate it and increase retention for all the time you put into your videos?
yeah always! dm me
@@WeDoTech Awesome! Done
can anyone help me. I have an i5 12400f and I’m contemplating on buying an rtx 3060, should I go with the 4060?
4060 only
How noisy are the fans? I find no videos about that
Look like some good new tech 😂
1:56 HELLOOOOOOO!!!!! This card is to be tested on GRAPHIC RENDERING SOFTWARE!!! Do you see any game art on the packaging? Why you think no RGB on it?? Are you MAD!!!!!!!!!
Haha😂more passion more energy!
So from a gtx 1660 this is a big upgrade?
It heavily depends on the game but it should be a roughly 30FPS+ upgrade in the games we looked at in 1080p
upgraded from a 1650s to this and I did not regret, but my cpu is still a 3700x so definitely a bottleneck but its still smooth in fps
Awesome! I don't think the bottleneck would be much but as long as it runs smooth thats all that matters
Same with me !!
I have a 4060 but I’m buying a rtx 4070 ti super in a few weeks cause I want 16gb ram
Not holding back...like to see it!!🫡👌
I buy the exactly model of this video for play 1080P.
Hogwarts Legacy at all the time 90+fps in Ultra, Dlss quality and RT On.
Cod Modern Warfare 2 Remaster in ultra again 120+ fps at all The time.
Cod Infinite Warfare equal of other Cod.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake 120fps in Max settings HDR.
For now i play this games, in the Next week i play more games.
Is Intel or Ryzen the best?😮
haha dude...thats a loaded question! if you have the money... Intel... but it highly depends on what you do with your PC. if you only do school work and play games then Ryzen will be great. if you render videos and do graphic design work, intel might be best.
I want to buy one to 👌👌
What a great review, thank you😊
You are so welcome!
should i go from a 2060 to a 4060?
that would be a good upgrade! i would say save a bit for the 4070 tbh
I want to perform an upgrade from my 2060 oc from ASUS, but I think it's not worth it, something like the rx 6700 xt is better, since I plan to upgrade my monitor as well for 1440p gaming.
This card is not only 2 slots thick. It's 5cm thicc
Too late already bought it
Good on you mate, thats a good buy!👌
Definitely worth the money, love the video!🔥🔥
i think it should be a good buy IF you want to go the RTX route
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
R100 000 🔥🔥
Getting a PC that can control a rocket is the dream😂
lol! how on earth and why and .... i have questions- lol
Just brought this upgrading from a 1050ti
Nice! What an upgrade, enjoy it
Still wish everything wasn't so damn expensive in SA 😭😭😭
yeah you and me both bro
Nice
Yes I think Nvidia did this sothat people who can afford it buy it, and those who are still saving up can buy the new one then.
i also think so
Just gonna buy a 2080ti second hand tbh
Yeah sure, whatever work for you!🙏
i sell my 1660 super for 100$
and add 200$ to buy 4060
Sounds good to me!
You can clearly see it's more than 2 slots thick. You couldn't put a PCI-E card next to it, not even a super low profile Wifi adapter or anything. It's amazing that a "reviewer" could hold the card physically in his hands and not be able to see how thick it is...
On the other hand, the ASROCK RX6700XT is actually 2 slots thick and destroys this POS at the same price right now.
I see your point, we were looking at it from the viewpoint of how many PCIe covers you would have to remove to fit the card. We will definitely keep that in mind with our next review. Thanks for the feedback
@@WeDoTech Ah. Well, "slots" refers to pci express (or PCI or ISA) slots it covers and cannot be used. It's a 3 slot cooler ;)
They design it this way specifically so that the third slot cannot be used so that the fans have enough room to draw air. Regarless of the back plates, it consumes 3 slots by design.
@@iancurrie8844 makes sense, will check into it thanks!
FYI, it is NOT a 3 slot cooler and you CAN put a PCI-E card in next to it. It's 2.5 slots wide max, and I've got an old Sound card sat next to this very 4060 in my PC andnd there's perfectly enough space for everything to fit without blocking any fans.
@@ShinyHelmet If it's 2.5 slots wide, then it's 3 slots. This is obvious to anyone with any critical thinking skills. It occupies 3 slots that cannot be used for anything else.
the gees!😂
lol my editor said we HAVE to add them - lol i also like them
Skip the entire 4000-series! 😪
Its a small boii
Little guy
its a little baby
Another let down from Nvidia.
Yeah, price wise! anything else you dont like about the card?
@@stefanvdmerwe
Performance, lack of Vram, it's poor.
@@stefanvdmerwe lackluster performance, high price, availability issues, uninspiring features, and unrealized potential. It fails to offer significant improvements, justifying its high cost or addressing previous concerns-another letdown from NVIDIA.
Liegt immer im Auge des Betrachters, also nicht verallgemeinern!
Do you have the card?
My baie gehelp dankie
Cool!
Been waiting for this card! What do you think?
@WeDoTech it looks amazing! I would love to have it but i dont have the money 😂
Cool😊
Nah, the 40 series is honestly pretty disappointing. 30 series was great, but this is just a letdown.
its truely time for them to step their game up of drop their prices
ok
Small but powerful
basically- i like the card, would have loved to see some more VRAM though
cut your nails bro
haha good idea!
I love that there is pc videos 🤌🏻🤌🏻👌🏻
