It's scary how fast vram requirement increasing, the latest release Horizon Forbidden West for ex, even on high textures, a step below from very high textures, you got fps slowdown after some period of gaming on 8gb card that didn't happen on 12gb based from what i read, so if you can choose for more vram, pick those if you don't want to upgrade frequently.

It depends on the resolution, the higher the resolution, the more VRAM you need, but I think 8gb should be enough for 1080p at high settings in most cases, or at least for now.
8gb is easily enough for 1440p, I have 6gb and some latest games that i can't run on 1440p isn't because of vram it's because the card itself isn't powerful enough, i love how people whined about the x060 rtx cards had only 8gbs when in reality they can't even run the latest games properly with settings that would use more than 8gb. I guess this is a valid point if you enjoy migraine inducing fps lol

Get a case you want, get amd gpu, get a good power supply, 1-2 tb nvme (you don’t need high end read and write speeds for gaming), asrock b550 motherboard for 32 gigs ddr4 or b650 if you want ddr5 and future proofing.

If u open task manager and gpu u see a dedikated ram which is like 12gb and u see a shared memory which is like 27gb. When u extend the 12gb ur gpu ll start to use the shared memory which in the system ram.
@@Sacrety man not everyone can have 12gb vram GPUs or like high end gpus i own an rx560 2gb and pretty much it runs what i love to play like on 1080p low settings like Minecraft, Resident evil 4 remake, assassin creed mirage, hitman 3 and sum indies games.. , i sawed ppl using 1gb vram so yh not everyone can effort 12gb vram 💀👍

But 8GB is still fine to run every game, I just wouldnt buy a card with 8GB because I dont consider it futureproof. This GPU i have is 7 years old now. I prefer to buy a PC every 10~ years and not every 3 or so. That is all.

IIRC you can increase the RAM to the iGPU.
