    BIO: Simon Daniel
    Simon joined Swift in April 2021, as a senior securities product manager to help shape and deliver the service offerings as part of the ‘smarter securities’ strategy. Prior to joining Swift he worked for a number of sell-side and buy-side firms, and with financial service providers including IHS Markit, and DTCC. Specializing in post trade, and combining experiences as a client, counterparty and provider, Simon is a regular speaker at industry organisations and working groups. He is currently focused on improving the settlement life-cycle, STP and efficiency for the capital markets industry as part of the SWIFT Securities View initiative.

    BIO: Gary Wright
    Gary is one of the founding members of ISITC Europe and currently Director of Industry Affairs at ISITC Europe CIC, which is a registered not-for-profit community interest company. He was a member of the ISITC Europe Academic Research Team, which undertook an independent research study in 2022 commissioned by the Swift Institute on the Global impacts of North America moving to T+1. He is also a member of the UK Accelerated Settlement Taskforce. Gary has been in the finance industry since 1969, holding senior positions within several major financial institutions. He participated in many industry committees, including setting the CISI Operations Management exam papers and has been a guest lecturer at Reading University and at the ICMA. Gary has also acted in an advisory and industry relationship capacity for a number of leading suppliers, enabling him to understand problems from both the buyer’s and seller’s perspective.
    Gary is highly sought after for his views and advice on the impacts on business and operations of market and regulatory changes. He has run many industry workshops, training sessions and roundtables and chaired, moderated a considerable number of conferences. His blogs, articles, whitepapers, and reports are published world-wide, and he is an accomplished speaker and commentator on the many changes in the financial services marketplace.

    BIO: Alex Chow
    Alex leads policy at the Investment Association on investment operations, notably on post-trade and trade and transaction reporting. The workstreams in these areas include engagement and advocacy with regulators and working with membership discussion forums and market stakeholders to establish industry wide best practice and guidance for the IA’s 250 members.
    Alex has 11 years’ experience in the industry having previously worked at BNY Mellon and Goldman Sachs.
