Wow. He's right, shame all cars don't make there headlights this easy to do
For as much as Volvo sells these cars for, they could have included LED as a standard feature. Many far cheaper cars offered better lights
And the fact that they're reflectors and not projectors.
Why you didn't show dashbord message . Intrested in if VOLVO US works , VOLVO UE doesnt. Error will be desplayed also with can buss kilers

Fitted same bulbs to my 2008 S40 D5, everything was fine till I started driving then the dreaded “ low beam failure “
If I fit H7 resistor to each side will that fix message

Are they also working as main beam? I have fitted them and my main been is still halogen from the inter bulbs. Do I need to change these too
Yes. The high/main beam is a separate bulb.
Can you do the same to a volvo V40 2014 model??

I am certain the part you're referring to is actually the heat sink, not a canbus adapter.

Nope, they are the brights - the xenons are for dipped.... Yeah, I also don't know why!

Of your vehicle has H7 bulb fitment these should fit as they are designed to fit most cars with H7 type

These bulbs are off road only. Not to use on public roads
Are they blinding other people? It’s dangerous to put led bulbs in a reflector housing.
they probably will be. also pretty sure this isnt legal to do.
At the moment OSRAM have come out with halogen LED replacements that are road legal. They are meant for many makes and models, but not for Volvo. Don't see why though@@jkd4568
What year is that s60, will this work on 2017?
This is 2014 so should be same as 2017

Please Note after driving the car it did display "dipped beam Fault" we have fitted these to other cars with no faults so it may depend on your car.
We will now fit a 'H7 Canbus resistor' to cure the error
did fitting a canbus resistor solve the issue with the fault message? Got the same error message in my C30 after upgrading to LEDs
Can you share which canbus resistor you used, I have tried ones which did not work for my 2012 s60
@Test123 my Volvo S40N 2006 does not like any Xenon or LED kits. That have canbus ballasts. Either flickering and turn off or cant turn on one side or turns on but turns of after a while. Tried 35W, 40W and 50W. What is wrong?

Cool and all, but illegal so probably not worth it. Especially for insurance and MOT.
It's illegal because he put the LED in a reflective housing. If you get a LED specific housing then all good.
@@TheSuperBoyProject yes which doesn't exist, just Chinese housings with fake approval. There is no way of retrofitting LEDs or xenons in a way that is compliant with law, unless your car came with it as an optional extra and you buy the original OEM housing.
