Turning those clips/ring around the xenon bulb socket turned out the be the key issue why I couldn't get the lamp back in place in my V70 (MY2006). Thanks! This saves a lot of money. A xenon lamp costs around 30-40 euros. Going to a dealer and have them replace it costs at least 100.

I have the same car and just changed both my lights, first time i've messed with the headlights on THIS car. One went out so i just changed em both from the factory lights to some after market blue xenon hids which look really nice, i got two of them for just under $100. Pretty easy job, anything on volvos is either real easy or real hard. I changed a wheel bearing on it last summer and jesus what a nightmare, almost broke a finger in the process, never again, next time it will go to the shop. I realized that day there's a reason i'm not a mechanic, lol! Anyway, It was nice to have a vid to watch for the headlight beforehand as a guide, thanks for posting it.

I changed yesterday both. When I was driving in the morning I saw that the left side light has a "blind dark line" like if it would light more to the left side and not front. Did I made something wrong? Does this need a computer configure after the change? I don't have the service message anymore. And I guess I put it back right.
