The heavy feeling is coming from the decreased leverage you have. Stock shifter is a bit longer than the shorter length TS.
Yup found that out from on the Final Edition page, just got to get use to it. Thanks man for the info

I changed short shifter to a different brand but I gave this one to my buddy and he didn’t have the same issue I did, I must’ve install it wrong some how

I'll try to describe this. If you've ever driven a Honda, all shifts are effortless but engaging - fun. Stock Evo isn't either. Did the heavy feeling go away for you? Did you try a weighted nob? I have a stock shifter and looking to do this mod, thought I'll ask. Thx!
I must’ve installed it wrong because my buddy took the same shifter and put it in his car and it felt fine
