One thing, 9:17, the ring thing is called an E clip
Very clear and precise instructions. Will need to watch this again when I actually get everything I need lol

Thanks! Hope this helped 👌🏼
I’m LOVING the Evo x content on this channel! Keep it coming!
Adam S Appreciate the support! 🙌🏼
Alright alright haha 👍👍👍
Thanksa lot bro
for those of you who are wondering. The second half of the installation process (inside the car not under the hood) works for regular, Mitsubishi Lancer's as well. Follow along 😎
@GlorifiedSASS27
Soo this will fit a regular lancer 5 speed?
@@LE550N yes
@@GlorifiedSASS27it did work, now im interested in the bushings part, do you think it will also work?
Just did this to my lancer gt
This video makes the job so much easier to do. Thanks a lot for making this! Unfortunately the third gear crunch changed to a grinding noise. Will the Redline cocktail fix this?
Hox1206 In theory that would be the fix if possible. In some cases which could be yours the transmission could be worn down and the grinding won’t disappear completely because the actual gear is worn to much. Hopefully not the case. With the fluid change make sure the car is fully warmed up and also give it a day of working that fluid threw the gears before giving up on it not working.
Question do you know by any chance if those 2010-2015 evo bushings will fit a 2015 lancer with 4b12, 2.4 cyl engine
does this kit fits a 2.0 08 Lancer?
Does that clip come with the bushings? If not where can I buy one
Hey mate will these bushings fit into a 2011 lancer CJ
What type of grease did you use. Thanks
I cannot get the bushings out of the rings. Any tips?
Probably won’t get a reply because this is an old video but I’ve got through the process to remove everything and the white plastic piece you said not to lose was not on my car in the first place, I’m not sure how it effects shifting to not have one but what do I do?
A 15 evo x gate bushings are not needed its a different design gate assembly but everything else is the same -as always great video!
adam searle Thanks for enjoying and supporting the channel 🤙🏼 it is different assembly and that’s why they make two different ones for the separate years. Still needed if you want to swap out all soft parts.
Does anyone know the name of the “black prong thing” he used on the shifter selecting bushing? Mine just came with 2 cotter pins
Awesome videos bro keep it up! I do have a question tho. When I clicked on the link to order that exact kit it said only for 2010-2015 evo x... so mine is a 2008 so what would the difference be and would install be the same?
Yes there is a difference in the bushing pack for the top of the transmission if you have a 2008. 2010+ have a different size
The same with the gate shift selector bushing?
Austin Swick I believe the gate selector is the same just the cable shifter bushings. Lots come in a pack with both like here -> www.torquesolution.com/product-p/ts-scb-100c.htm
I installed the bushing for the shifter cable now my shift stick is so hard to move...help?
Definitely an upgrade for the evo shifter bushings...but the shifter boot is pure plastic garbage..!!..the only company that made a great shifter boot was twm..but they started scaming people ..for all us evo owners we desperately need a shifter boot with ball bearing shifting i hope maperformance will design on..love your videos man!!!
CAE ultra shifter replaces the plastic shifter and is very nice. Also about double the price of the TWM
Joe Mazzurco I agree it’d be nice to get that metal fitment for sure and crazy to hear the scamming from twm. I almost bought one years ago when I bought mine but obviously went cheaper lol. I love mine as is and and for $150 idk if I’d spend the extra money for one. It was like 4 times the price then so if the “ultra shifter” is double the price according the the comment above then that’s super price!
Hey man. Just got into Evo X. Is reverse gear grind a normal thing on Evos? I picked up a stock Evo and each time I try to go into reverse, it grinds and sometimes it doesn’t want to go into reverse (unless I pop clutch in and out a couple of times). Only bandaid fix for this in my experience has been into 3/5th first before engaging reverse. Thoughts?
Is it normal?
Just installed my today and it not that smooth. 5th gear is hard to go in and it still grind. Please Help. Did everything you show. And Friends of my tell me to get the Master Cylinder, Do I need it?
God Mode This shifter wouldn’t have corrected the grind you already had and if it’s hard to get into the gear potential the master cylinder could be going out. Stock ones are known for issues
Hey man, by chance do you know the part number to that white piece you mentioned. I had my clutch done at Mitsubishi and they must have lost it. It wasn’t on when I did my install
No sorry I don’t. If you go to Mitsubishi they will be able to pull up a parts image breakdown of the entire car to figure out what that piece is
Found it, that’s what I did. Part number is MD771824. Just in case anyone needs it
Hey bro I just install the short shifter on the Evo, is it suppose to be heavy shifting? I feel like it require for force to shift then the stock ones, and getting to 5th seems a bit heavier as well
No it should be a nice smooth easy engagement. If it’s tough to get it means something is out of line in the install. Ive actually dealt with that before, just double back on the work. Should feel “better” not worse lol
Xtra_Slo thanks man for the feedback going to backtrack the install
Will this work for a 2011 lancer gts
According to torque solutions website it fits lancers and Evo X’s. I’d still double check before purchase
Stupid question , but whatever. What kind of grease did you use for the gate selector?
Drew Alonzo so stupid! Lol just kidding! Yea I’d suggest either a White lithium grease is #1 I think or could use a grease used on suspension joints if you already have that. Both will work great 👍🏼
Xtra_Slo Thank You!
hey @xtra_slo, at about 8:00 when you hand tighten the nut is there any additional torqueing required?
Yes tighten down with a wrench
@@xtra_slo1596 thanks for posting a great vid btw!! love my new torque solutions short shifter!!
I am looking for a good tuner for my evo x. Any info? Thanks in advance.
Leroy Swearing depends where you live? I’m Chris Carbee tuned for 4 years now and he does amazing work. “Slowpoke Tuning”
Thanks, I live in West Palm Beach.
Leroy Swearing you are in luck then. Chris does tuning days at Ag Autosports in Fort Lauderdale. 👍🏼 look him up on Facebook for questions and booking
Appreciate it. Keep up the good work that you’re doing.
Is it notchier??
Crisp and Accurate
You gotta link for all that????

Also added to the description 🤙🏼
White lithium grease won't eat at plastics over time...the grease you used may degrade the plastic bushings over time.
R N The STP Grease is a lithium based grease so works great and shouldn’t break down anything despite cool to hear white lithium is always safe 👍🏼
@@xtra_slo1596 oh awesome great to know guys, thanks a ton I’ll just use my white lithium grease!
Wheel and tire specs?
Josue Aguilar 18x9.5 +15 with a Pilot super sport 265/35/18
@@xtra_slo1596 excellent fitment
I got 18x9.5 +22 in the front and +17 in the rear on my evo X
Josue Aguilar Thanks man. I’m very happy with how they turned out. 👌🏼 I’m sure yours also looks flush
