Hobbit would be a lot better if they focused more on the main characters and not pointless side quests like all this Gandalf quest to fight with Sauron, and Tauriel and Legolas. I think it would be better if Smaug was more mentioned and Bolg was a villian instead of Azog. And if Beorn had a bigger part of course. But they went with Radagast's character, Thorin&Azog backstory, Tauriel, Kili and Legolas love triangle and Thranduil hatred for dwarves. If they actually spent time on the characters maybe the goodbye scene from the Battle of the Five Armies wouldn't look so ridiculous.

From there I finally watched the LOTR movies last year after watching the 3 Hobbit movies.
But my favorite will always be the Hobbit movies. All the actors did an awesome job, Ian McKellen across all 6 movies, of course, but Martin Freeman's portrayal of Bilbo is my most favorite part of the 6 movies. God I love living in Georgia and hearing Martin describe Atlanta. Puts the goofiest grin on my face. He's just a great guy all around. Love him.

Andy Serkis who portrayed Gollum in the Hobbit movies with him was also in Black Panther. You could say that in that movie they were the 2 Tolkien white guys. I'll be here all week, try the fish.

I'm loving the fact that everyone is pissed their favorite Martin Freeman movie wasn't talked about. Just shows how much his performances touched people, even the ones in otherwise bad or unsuccessful movies. Here's to hoping there will be many more films that touch many more hearts.

I am SO glad that Peter was able to move the schedule for Martin so he could be in the Hobbit trilogy... because I never would have known about him without the Hobbit. And NO ONE else can play Bilbo Baggins any better than Martin Freeman!!!! I'm so proud of you, Martin!!!!
