Dudeeee I knew about upwork like in the 2015 when i was a student, I really pay too much atention cause it was like some side hobby, even though i never got a job but try my best to improve my profil.
For some reason i didn´t was interest at all and with other stuff happening in life i stop it...
BUT...
Now im back but full recharge of doing it better, with mature mined and working in give myself value rathen than only payments.
Im baby once again in the upwork world, level 1, but with the tips and content you share its a great help to create top knowledge.
Its something that goes beyong only aplaying for payment/jobs, its doing it for the value of your knowledge, the ideas you can aport to the cleint and i feel that is what now days with the covid stuff we can work and get a life style that years back it was only a daydream.
Freelance is not for everybody, but once you understand it you ride the wave of the jorney, being yourself and earing through that.
Thats what i can feel by watching your videos, life is not easy but we have to find a way to make it valueble.

Bruh, do not waste your time and money on UpWork, it is a scam!... I tried it along with other friends and none of us got any work and we are badass workers from California...The people who look for freelancers on UpWork are looking for DIRT FREE proposals no freelancers should pay someone to find work, especially when UpWork is going to collect a percentage from the check...all these people claiming making 6 figures numbers and up are lying...They just want you to spend money on their website do the math thousands and thousands of people paying for monthly points equals lots of money and if people close their UpWork accounts they do not care because their business is to sell points as long as you spend $30 you bought something from their website.

@@peterdavid2000 never give up hope. Submit good proposals (clear and aimed). Learn new techniques to submit proposals. Josh's content has lot of details on submitting winning proposals. I still repeatedly watch them and learn new things every time.

Can you clarify one thing about Upwork specialized profile? I am an animator and social media marketing manager. Is it a good idea if I make my main profile to show my animation skills and a specialised one to find social media marketing jobs, do you think it would work or I should further narrow down the same skill in the specialised profile? Hey, I’m wondering, if I make a website, and say I want to deliver it to the client? What can I do if the client knows nothing about coding or anything. He doesn’t know how to open an html locally on his computer. What are my options then?

Invites work primarily in two ways: 1. Through Upwork search. This is where you need to optimize your profile, portfolio, etc. around your main keywords. 2. Recommendations. The more jobs that you successfully complete with specific keywords (example: video editor) the more you will be recommended. And on top of those things, you need to make your profile, portfolio, etc. as attractive as possible for new clients.

Are certifications important on upwork?
If they're relevant in your niche, then sure they will help. But they're not necessary. I have over $1M earned on Upwork and don't have a certification.

I have a question if you don't mind. When a client has the ability or option to read reviews on the completed jobs. Why we should write reviews on top of the profile description.
The first 1-2 lines of your profile description appear in Upwork search. So, I added one of my best client reviews. I've tested a lot of different opening to my profile description. I'm not saying that you should copy exactly what I'm doing. But it's important to know that the first 1-2 lines of your profile description are the most important. Hope this helps!

At the moment, if your cert isn't listed then you can request for Upwork to add it. Honest opinion, it's unlikely that they will add it. As an alternative, you can add it to your "other experiences" section.

quick tip for other clients
1. Always seek to apply for jobs that will turn to long term.-mistake freelancers to is to take small projects and after two days they can't get hired.
2. Avoid messaging your client everytime. Some don't like that. After your project just tell your client, I am open for future jobs.- please don't spam their inbox

They haven't spent any money on Upwork. That isn't a bad thing because they could be a new client. Just be careful and make do your research to make sure the client is legit.
