Hey Josh, I really love your content in here, I'm following your entire series on upwork optimization, as I plan to start using it to generate work for my small branding agency.
I would like to give back to what I've been learning in here, and I think this pro tip might help enhance your 'explain it to a child' method further.
I recently discovered a study that shows most non-native English speaker, that still communicates in English through the internet has an average of a 7th grader in English. So maybe lowering form 12 to 7 would improve the efficient of your tactic for a broader online audience. Hope this could be of value.

With the recent rate at which job postings get proposal count these days; while on this process, the job I’m trying to send a cover letter to probably has an additional 10+ proposals already. Do I still have a good chance of getting a reply from the client?
If it aligns really well with your skill set and the activity looks good, then yes I would still submit a proposal.

How much time do you spend on a single AI-generated proposal with this approach? And what is your proposal submitted/hired ratio, and how many do you submit per week?
I never track how much time that I spend on a proposal. I spend as much time as needed to make it better than most other proposals. I mainly use AI tools like Jasper AI and ChatGPT to help write and reword my proposals. Simply using a prompt like "Rewrite the following so that an 8th grader can understand it" helps a lot when trying to have better wording.

If you use an AI tool to generate the entire cover letter without adding your personal touch, then yes. However, if you follow the steps from this video then that won't happen. I use AI tools like Jasper and ChatGPT as an assistant to help me write faster and better.
hi josh! Recently I've encountered this problem and i need some advice kindly,
I sent a proposal to a job and i was happy the client got back to me, we had a conversation and i understood the assignment, but he wanted a video call and a demo that i can do the job!
I had no problem, i gave a demo as he had said most freelancers wouldn't understand the job. My demo worked but he gives me a file to use to demonstrate the results.
I refuse because that might be the job and he's trying to get free work. He goes on and tells me i need to show results with the said file, i refuse and request a contract first - this is just a 20$ job, i only want the job to raise my jss only.
He says my demo isn't good enough after i refuse to do the said work, i even explain he can cancel the contact when he's expectations aren't met.
Do you think this is a scammer? Or should i be patient?
I would HARD PASS on that job. It sounds like he was looking for free work IMO. Also, be very careful when opening any files sent to you. I personally would not open anything unless it's a client with tons of history on Upwork and the file is attached to the job. Otherwise, you run the risk of being scammed, having your computer compromised, etc. Also, this client sounds very demanding which means that you could get a bad review on the job if he isn't satisfied. Think long term and how reviews/feedback will bring you more work. I would definitely move on and forget about this client.

For a similar AI model, absolutely. However, chatGPT does not have the templates or boss mode document feature.

Disagree. There are numerous AI writing tools and there are tons more coming. All comes down to personal preference. Paid platforms have more features, which I personally like. But if you want to save money, then ChatGPT is the best option. However, if ChatGPT had a paid option, then I guarantee you that tons of people would pay for it to have more features.

I've been using ChatGPT to generate proposals and it saves a lot of time, just wondering is it really always good to write a (one-page proposal) rather than a short proposal? I noticed that some freelancers recommended writing a short proposals
Glad you enjoyed it! I personally don't think there's a "one size fits all" answer. Your proposal needs to be long enough to fully convey why the client should hire you, but not long enough to lose their attention. It's all about finding the right balance that works for you and your skill set. Modify, test, analyze, and repeat until you find what gets results for you.
