One thing I really like about the MK4 over the MK3 when unloading is that the MK3 requires you to push a button and then pull the filament out. The MK4 just does this automatically, and also does a better job of making sure the melted filament on the tip is not causing obstructions during removal. I've had my filament get stuck a few times during unloading on my MK3. Usually because I walk away and come back to a cooled down filament inside the PTFE tube. I think the metal tube on the MK4 fixes all of that.
Dont forget to say to cut the filament with an angle, I was a complete total newbie, MK4 is my very first printer, and I didn't know why it wouldn't load. Now it works absolutly flawless. Exceptionnal work.
Please fix the amount that it purges, it’s way too little and the Hall effect sensor can be faulty and doesn’t recognize filament is loaded sometimes so I would have keep removing and inserting filament until it does or I have to recalibrate the sensor, I’m not the only one with this issue. Other than that the printer is great.

Hey what about adjusting the filament guide roller tension. What Nm should the tension rollers be set to for PLA, PTEG and TPU?
I hope a future update for the Mini work like this..
Looks easy!
PRUSA please send me a MK4 to review.😊
How unload?
"change filament" it warm the nozzle, and you can pull the filament. There is only a small amount in the nozzle to purge afterwards, with the new inserted filament
Isn't this already supported on the MK3S+? 🤔
They just wanted to make a video for MK4. If I'd be a begginer, I would also search for tutorials for MK4, not MK3S+
Same on all prusas - my prusa mini has the same feature with filament sensor installed
Even though the XL you announced 2 years ago, the MK4 (announced half a year ago) was released earlier and is receiving much more attention. As an XL user, I'm a bit annoyed. It seems that the XL isn't getting as much attention. There are always "MK4", "MK4 improvements" and "MK4 Tutorial" topics from Prusa. I really feel like the XL is missing out (at least) on promotion similar to how you promote the MK4.
Be gratefull that you don't have prusa mini...
Probably lots of people are getting a Mk 4 as their first printer, so these tip videos make sense for newer users.
Hopefully there will be a variety of other content, like a a walkthrough of the MMU3. 🙏
As I non user I'm annoyed too. The XL was pushing boundaries and something to get excited about. The MK4 is just the mk3 with some shinier bells, nothing groundbreaking or even that impressive on it
@@joshuaisaacs8970uh I mean guaranteeing perfect first layers basically solves all printing problems in one sweep…that’s a pretty massive difference?
@@sheeevum definitely doesn't solve all printing problems, I've had near perfect first layers and then still experienced cooling issues, bridging issues, overhang issues. None of which could be fixed with a more perfect first layer...
My school's mk2.5 has this option. Why is this video even required?
Because for some people the MK4 is their first printer or they haven't owned a prusa yet, so they're showing it for new users. When i was startitng with my MK3S+ for the first time i really appreciated their videos, even if some of the options the mk2.5 already had.
Also people arent going to be searching for mk3s+ printers if they own an MK4. Algorithm
Is it just me or is the MK4 the biggest flop of the year?
its just you
Is this the feature that you guys boast to make a video out of in 2023? Sorry but I am ashamed..
It's just a video for new users. Nothing else.
Wait till you find out that a certain "state-of-the-art" printer needs you to manually tap the extrude button a few times for it to load.
@@mkyral They should make a video to explain to new youtube users that not all youtube videos are ads boasting a product or an «influencer» but some are documentations.
@@brisance cry about taping a button 2 times holy shit
Bambu bot still upset his printer crashed into itself and broke apart.
