Yeah... I don't think it will be a problem though. Jon father was a Targaryen but he has never had a connection to the family. It's not really part of his identity like it is with Daenerys. Finding out Rhaegar was his father will give him closure. Ned was his dad though. And Gendry didn't really know his and Jon doesn't seem like the type to hold grudges like that.

Book 5 has a lot to do with characters the show leave out (understandably, if they included everything it would take like 30 seasons to tell it all), so season 5 already had a lot of new content. Season 6 was pretty much entirely written by D&D (the producers) and so is season 7.

I spent a lot of time last week thinking about what would happen if he was captured as a prisoner, that would make everything really complicated, because Tyrion is on Danerys side and so on.. So felt kinda dumb that they just got away even though both Tyrion and Danerys saw him charging the dragon.

Danny didn't know who jamie was and just regarded the attacker as a random highborn. The Eagles wouldn't have worked in Lotr's. They would have been spotted from miles away by Sauron. They would have been intercepted by the Nine, shot down and killed. Losing the ring in the process.
Also the top of mount doom isn't really open straight down, the only way to destroy the ring was at the crack of mount doom (ha, crack...) yeah, where Sauron forged the ring. To get there one had to go through the entrance on the side of the mountain. That means a passenger on the eagle that can contend with the ring, aka Frodo. And since they would have been spotted from miles away by either Sauron's spies or by sauron himself who's a "GREAT EYE!!!", the entrance would have been guarded by plenty of his most powerful forces.

Eagles would get corrupted by the ring. Frodo only lasted as long as he did because he's a Hobbit and does not crave power the way other races do. Both Gandalf and the Eagles are Maiar and Gandalf stated at the start of Fellowship that he cannot take the ring because it will corrupt him, so the same could be said about the Eagles. Hobbits only

It does make somewhat more sense, in a way. First of all everyone's making stupid mistakes that could kill but since they're all making those mistakes, no one is capitalizing on them. Also as the end nears every house is getting more and more suspicious and wearisome of eachother, meaning that they're all going to do stupid shit out of paranoia and panic. I mean I can understand why people don't support the late show as much as they did the show earlier on, but even in context of the story it makes a bit of sense.

Travel speed was worse in 5 than in 6. In five Davos went from Dragonstone to Kings Landing to The Wall in the span of one episode. In six the only really bothersome travel speed was, and spoilers ahead:
The raven flying to Dragonstone to alert Dany. Gendry's sprint back to the wall isn't too unlikely considering that their journey from the wall mostly took place in a blizzard, so it would make sense for them not to advance too far ahead, and I don't know how fast dragons _can_ fly but Dany making her way beyond the wall from Dragonstone in the span of those hours the group were stranded isn't that bad.

It so annoying, that people always point out that Frodo could have used the eagles. THAT would have been a stupid idea. Sauron would have spotted them easily and the Nazgul would have taken them apart with their DRAGONS. To be as secret as possible was their best bet. Lotr is pretty logical, especially of course the books. Tolkiens depiction of battles in the books is actually more realistic than some of GRRM depictions.

      *SPOILER ALERT*
In episode 6 nothing much happens, Arya and Sansa argue, Sansa finds Arya's faces, Jon goes north, they capture a wight, after that they see a storm so they tell gendry to go back to eatwatch (he does) and send a letter to Daenerys, We cut to a scene where tyrion and daenerys talk about jon snow(its hinted shes in love with him) and then she goes on her dragons.
Jon and the squad go into an isle in the middle of a lake, then the wights surround them, trying to charge the ice breaks underneath them. Jon + squad stay on the isle for about a day and then when tormund throws a rock near the wights, they see the ice is frozen so they start coming towards jon. They start fighting Tormund is about to die, then Daenerys comes in with her dragons burning some of the dead army down, the squad get on Drogon whilst Jon is kinda holding of the wights.
We see the nights king get an ice spear thing and throw it at Viserion, it hits him in the neck and falls through the ice. Whilst jon just put down the last wight (as seen in season 7 trailer) he sees the night king go to get another spear attached to his horse, then jons starts shouting GO GO GO!, as he sinks into the ice with lots of wights on top of him, Daenerys gives this kinda worried look and flies off.
We see jon pick up longclaw as he is coming out of the ice, the wights notice him and start running towards him, at that moment benjen comes and suprises Jon, Jon is all like UNCLE BENJEN?! but he tells him theres no time. Jon gets on the horse badly wounded and benjen goes into the wights with his fire thing (like leaf did in 6x5)
We cut to the scene with Daenerys on top of the wall with jorah, Daenerys says 'just a little bit longer, please'
jorah says we have to go now your grace, and just as she turns around jorah notices something coming out of the forest, a horn is blown.
Then you can see a targaryen boat in the distance, we cut to a chamber where jon is put in a bed and then davos takes off his cloack and shirt. Dany notices his scars on his chests and you can see tears in her eyes ( she realises he was being serious about 'giving his life for his people')
He wakes up and then Jon apoligises for getting viserion killed, then says a sentence and calls daenerys 'Dany. Daenerys chuckles and says how her brother was the last one to call her that. Then for like the last 2 mins of the episode, we can see the wights pulling out viserion of the lake, the nights king walking up to him and touching him, his eyes turn blue and get zoomed into his pupils to end the episode.

So how Bronn managed to pull out Jaime out of water? Jaime is wearing full plate armor (possibly of gold, but that would be ultra stupid on the battlefield, so lets assume its only gold plated). They managed to swim whole lake (battle is on the other side) and Jaime was in a bit of shock. This defies logic almost as much as Euron's instant travels and whole bending of time-and-space continuum in season 7.

Kagemusha91 you know what else defies logic? Fire breathing dragons, ice zombies, baby shadow demons, and the lord of light resurrections. Bunch of shit in this show defies logic and that won’t be changing anytime soon man. Why not enjoy it instead of questioning every little detail.

@@NoahHunterGamble That's a weak argument. Game of Thrones might posit that magic is real, but physics on the show is still grounded in reality. That said, all this time Jamie's been walking around and riding like his armor's not hampering his movement. It's obvious that it's not that heavy like a suit of armor would be. Seems more decorative than anything else which makes sense historically. Knights didn't walk around in suits of armor, that was for horseback. "Armor" for fighting troops was boiled leather.

That Rhaegar revelation shouldn't matter anymore because the show has been tossing the whole royal succession thing out the window for the last two seasons.
Ellaria had no claim to Dorne. Everyone should hate her for murdering the Martells. But she magically takes over Dorne.
Cersei is far down the line of succession for the Iron Throne, she should be below Robert's distant relatives. Everyone should hate her for blowing up the Sept, killing a popular religious leader, and all her allies. But she magically takes the Iron Throne.
Euron was elected king of the Iron Isles at the Kingsmoot. But Yara made an alliance with Dany to overthrow him.
Jon has no claim to be the King in the North. He certainly has no authority over the Vale men. But they made him King of the North.
    Succession doesn't matter anymore.

Cersei making peace with Danny reminds me of 1920 China. The communists vs nationalists. The communists where losing the war horribly. Being pushed back thousands of miles. But the nationalist leader gets captured and taken captive by the communists. Around this time the Japanese invade china. (Japanese maybe symbolising the white walkers and the army of the dead). Instead of killing the nationalist leader they broker a peace in which they band together to fight the greater threat; the Japanese. In the fighting the communists fought in guerrilla warfare and the nationalists fought a more conventional straight forward fight. Well in the end the Japanese get defeated. But not without heavy losses on the nationalist side and of course minimal losses on the communist side. The communists after the war then turned around and stacked the nationalists and won the war.
The nationalists of course being Danny and Jon.
    The communists being cersei.

No, the national party's leader was taken captive by one of his own men, basically it's a mutiny. The man who led the mutiny was Zhang xueliang, he's never a communist, he later fled to taiwan with the national party and said he regretted his decision. The communists fought against the japanese in rural areas, the national party's army defended the big citis and of course they suffered much heavier loss.

The best part of Dany’s quest to “break the wheel” in Westeros is that her family exclusively ruled Westeros for the last 300 years until Robert’s Rebellion. Considering how peaceful the realm was under Robert and how many people liked him as King, it seems pretty fair to say that “the wheel” in Westeros is synonymous with Targaryen rule

I think he could have seen Bronn tackle Jamie into the water before the fire consumed them. Even if he didn't see it Bronn acted as the middleman for their meeting which could imply that Tyrion and Bronn have been keeping in contact. If not that either Tyrion and Bronn had at LEAST been in contact once since the sack of high garden.

      speaking of plot holes....
      1. how could Jaime charge at Dany like that when there should be heaps of dothraki men around protecting their queen?
      2. how convenient that Bronn jumped out at the right time and BOTH escaped dragon fire point blank?
      3. how odd that Dany did not look for the guy who tried to kill her?
      4. how weird also Tyrion didn't look for his brother who might have died or drowned? also his enemy
      5. why would Jaime sink so deep in a small pond?
      6. and how did Bron save Jamie in full heavy armour?
and yes you are right in pointing out that how come Tyrion just knew straight away Jamie was alive and back in Kings landing?

      1) She the leader of the dothraki and in their society they value strength above all else. It wouldn't be very strong to have to have a bunch of dothraki guard you from one guy. Not to mention they were in the heat of battle and, you know, she has a dragon
      2) It's very possible that Bronn saw Jamie charge Dany like Tyrion did just acted quickly
      3) Dragon fire literally turns people into ash. It isn't that unlikely that Dany thought she roasted Jamie
      4) He may have and we don't see it, and he probably saw Bronn tackle him out of the way and left it up to him
      5) It could be a symbolic representation, but ignoring that, combine the armor with how he isn't struggling and he'd sink like a rock
      6) That I don't know really without knowing the weight of the armor, though it does seem pretty light weight if he can get on horses and maneuver with it and what not

      SPOILER ALERT

People are always saying how Tyrion could be a secret Targaryen as his mother was liked by the Mad King and there was potential of some action going on. I'm just saying Cersei having this Wildfire madness and the incest with Jaime as well, could it be that Jaime and Cersei are actually the offspring of the Mad King and Joanna Lannister while Tyrion is the only actual son of Tywin?

    • @Sara-bk2ny
      @Sara-bk2ny Před 6 lety +30

Jesse T. Patterson I don't think so. Honestly, I don t believe neither of them are Targaryens. Maybe and I say MAYBE Tyrion. In the books, his father says something about him believing Tyrion is not his actual son, and he is described as having a really light blond hair, but it doesn't mean a thing, Tywin just doesn't want to believe he really is his son, he hates him for who and what he is. Tommen has also a light hair colour, it doesn't mean he is a Targaryan lol. And Cercei's madness is not something she was born with. She developed it, she always wanted power because her father never actually gave it to her. She became manipulative because she wanted to show him that she can be an hair just as good as Jaime, maybe even a better one. And also, she lost all her children, father and had to do also the 'walk of shame'. I kinda understand why she became like that, so I really don't think she or Jaime has anything to do with the Mad king, like being his children. But I also understand why would you think so.

    • @marcospaulo5390
      @marcospaulo5390 Před 6 lety +27

In the books there's quite a bit of evidence to this theory. Genna Lannister says that Tyrion is the only son of Tywin. And Jaime had a dream, probably with his mother, in which it's implied that he's not Tywin son's.

    • @dianeismyname250
      @dianeismyname250 Před 6 lety +16

+Jesse T. Patterson I think that your theory could be correct. What irony that Tywin said to Tyrion, "You are no son of mine" when, actually, Tyrion was his ONLY true son... Jaime/Cersei were the bastards. Also fitting given their relationship and the fact that Targaryen's often married brother to sister to keep the bloodlines pure.

    • @mihailodjordjevic2191
      @mihailodjordjevic2191 Před 6 lety +2

Bebu BaeBae The theory is bullshit and you know it. Using the lighter hair as a genetics argument is in direct contradiction to how genetics work in regards to r+l=j. So basically, you're twisting reality to fit your theories.
The books say aerys may have "taken liberties" on tywin and Joanna's *wedding night*. So how, oh how, can tyrion be the product of this when he's the youngest of the three.
He never said he didn't believe tyrion was his son. Again, you're twisting words. "you're no son of mine" is not literal, it's a figure of speech meant to disown him. He also says the exact same words to Jaime in the books.
      There, debunked.

No matter what the show runners did, they would never be able to stop the social justice millennials crying about it.
It was predicted on several channels that this was going to happen, and the lame excuse would be no source material to fall back on.
Just completely ignore the previous six seasons of epic build up and acting. Just fuck that right? Just fuck it that they even said they plan for it to be a roughly 70 hour movie. Fuck that too.
Fan service is bad, right. I'd say it's pay off. You spastics couldn't even fathom it. The amount of callbacks to season one i the last 6 episodes alone is awesome. You'd know that if you didn't have the attention span of a Goldfish.
As for everyone saying "This season is to predictable". It was leaked, and despite you denying knowing what the leaks were, you're never going to be able to claim it was predictable, because the leak happened. So shut the fuck up. It's not a valid argument when it comes to season 7 of Game of Thrones. Had there been no leaks, then maybe we could believe your opinion to be sincere.
But yes, this season is a huge payoff season, and extremely good.
You're all just degenerate cucks who ironically have never/will never see battle of experience struggle, so you whinge about the most absurd things online, like the fucking sheep you are.

The show's pacing is awful. We had a whole season of Aria training with the faceless men, and she was just a mediocre swordsman at the end of it. Now she's suddenly the best in the world? That would have been interesting, yet we missed out on it because they wanted a surprise. Seems cheap and manipulative, like most everything they are doing in the show now.

    • @kabob21

The sense of time is a little warped as they accelerate the plot. You forget that she used to practice what Cyril taught her all the time when she was on the road with The Hound. Considering the sparring she was doing with Brienne was the water dance style of sword fighting that was the only formal training in the sword Arya ever had, it's obvious that she was training the entire time she left Braavos and traveled back up north. The show just doesn't show her journey.

Possiblity - when Jon is offered the seat of the Iron Throne, and once Dany dies; yes I, like many others, have a very strong feeling she will die before the story/show is over, and Jon out his humbleness and humility will offer it to Gendry.... just a thought..

Maybe Cercei lied to Jaime about being pregnant because she felt Jamie's loyalty is wavering (with all the PTSD and tyranny and him becoming a better man and all) and faking a pregnancy would keep him by her side.

Jon is not the rightful heir. Aerys disinherited Rhaegar's line and made Viserys his heir. Plus, Rhaella crowned Viserys on Dragon Stone FWIW. So technically, if you're going by Targaryen lineage, then Dany is the rightful Queen. Although with the Great Council of 101 might complicate things as well as Lords who think a male claimant comes first.
