I learned a lot with this project and want to try stenciling again but with a different paint. Let me know in the comments what you think! Thank you all for your support!
LOVE the transparency here! A lot of youtubers pretend they're perfect and I appreciate you sharing your genuine experience and helping all of us learn together. Thank you for your videos!!
You are so patient! I would have thrown that stencil into a fire.
🤣
Girl, THANK YOU so much for doing this video. Just like you the little bleeds would of drove me insane. I am not experienced with stencils and I thought watching a few CZcams videos would be so easy, how hard can it be? I am thinking about doing my fireplace!! I am rethinking my decision. Thank you again you are a lifesaver!
Thank you, I really enjoyed the honesty of this video. DIY videos always make everything looks so perfect and easy. Your honesty is very refreshing and allows us to have more realistic expectations going into it. 😉 Your laundry room looks great, amazing job!
I think your first attempt looked perfect! I have lived in Italy and our house had all hand painted tiles on the floors and walls. Your floor looked like those tiles. You did a wonderful job. Try not to be over critical of yourself. Errors give it character. The final job looks nice. I wonder if you can put a top coat or maybe VCT wax in order to protect the paint.
Thank you! You saved me a lot of aggravation, I’m doing the check pattern, simple and timeless look
OMG! Vinyl would have been so much easier! And I have purchased stencils! I’ll be rethinking.
I saw my self having all those issues! This video was awesome! Thank you very much.
All the other CZcams videos I see with this product just feel like advertisements. Thanks for showing us the backstory. BTW I thought it looked great after the first try and was horrified to see you start again, but you’re obviously a perfectionist, as we can see from your professional video.
Hello brigtoria, thank you for this video.
It’s a laundry room. No one really sees it except you. It looks nice.
It’s a laundry room so is a great place to practise and learn. From here it looked really pretty but living with the little glitches might prove irritating so I can see why she overpainted the stencilling. Really great and very helpful video imo!
Beautiful!!!
Great video
Good video on how not to paint a tile floor!!
Patients of a Saint
To prevent the bleeding. You can do a light layer of the black paint first so even when it bleeds, it’s black, let it dry for 1 minute or 2 then apply the white coat. Let it dry again for another minute or 2 then peel. You will get those perfect stars.
It looked fine with the initial stenciling.
What im buying today for tomorrows project
Wow. Looks beautiful. You are a very patient person. Although the stenciling is interesting and beautiful, I just don't think (for me) it's worth the time and effort. I've tried stenciling before and it's more of a headache. I love love the b&w so much better!!
Do you think maybe if you let each coat cure longer? I did a table with multiple coats and it remained tacky because I didn’t wait long enough between coats.
Do you feel like the semi gloss coat is super shiny? I’m on the fence about which top coat to use in my bathroom.
Love👌
I’ve done this and when you have two stencils and let them fully dry in between (i hung them and had a fan blowing on them) it works without bleeding- it’s the wet paint on the edges that make it so annoying :)
Have a question: have you gotten any scratches on the floor. Like moving Furniture heavy traffic people and pets paws scratches. Big dogs have a Rottweiler and pit bull.
thanks for sharing but is it like toxic fumes ? or is it water based ?
This is just a guess, but maybe the stencil isn't stuck down properly. Therefore paint bleeds under the edges and stops a sharp finish.......good job though 😊
How many meters this jar can coat?
Paint pens used for touch up when you're done
It looks great beautiful, sorry you didnt get the original design
why was black spot painting coming out splotchy?? from not mixing it well???
How many gallons did it take of each
i enjoyed watching your project, just not something i would do though
like the checker more than the stencil design . . . good move
DAMNIT... where r u guys getting those STENCILS ???
This is the MOST anxiety inducing video I’ve ever seen. Watching you put all that paint on the brush even as you were telling us the instructions said don’t overfill the brush lol. I think you saved a lot of people from making these mistakes by posting this video but it was definitely hard to watch.
The problem the tile is is uneven she needs a stencil that stick to the tomake a seal for cleaner results
Do not use a roller use a stencil brush
