Most rewarding part of the project is final assembly!!!! I like the bigger bow-tie. I think its the same size as the one on my blue Silverado ; and just looking at it from the front you see the Chevrolet symbol four times once on the grille, once on the license plate, and once on each steering stabilizer shock . Car is looking SWEEEEETTTT!!!
Wow Rick, where do I start? First, watching the rope trick was one of the coolest things I've seen on the CZcams and I've watched hours and hours and having that awesome assistant surely must have helped you like no one else could have. Second, the NOVA looks totally badass! You, sir, deserve to be proud of your accomplishment and the fact that you are an inspiration to the rest of us here in the YTGG. Great job!!! Finally, I think the larger Bowtie painted yellow would look better than the smaller one. Great looking Nova!
Rick that Nova is awesome!!!!!!! You did one HELL OF A GREAT JOB! You will be proud driving it around, and I would go with the big Bowtie emblem that will tie that front end together and be COOL!
Looking good, the larger bow tie with the same yellow sounds great. You are soon going to be driving a beautiful car with your head held high with the satisfaction of knowing YOU build it. The rims may cost money but one way or the other they can be repaired if needed.
thankx ken, actualy with the rope trick it did go in very easily, some glad i found a video on that cause i probably would have broke the window, lol,tc and thankx for watching
I wan't sure about the yellow on a Nova, but it turned out great! You've done a great job Rick. I have really enjoyed your videos, it seems like I'm watching an old friend. Keep the videos coming!
Oh and I forgot to mention how slick the car is looking now. I wasn't 100% sure on yellow at first but after seeing more of the black on the car I am convinced. You must feel great to see the car in your head come to life in front of you. Congrats.
thankx milo, that means alot to me,this was a tuff one to get straight, now i can hardly wait to put the shine on her, thankx for watching, and u guys have a good one
thankx jeff, never thought about the carbon fibre look, going to do a few of them and see what looks the best, might beable to change them out now and again for a diferent look, lol, thankx for watching,tc
Hard to see , but may be uni lug , where it takes a deep shank nut and washer. Car looks good . In the middle of the big emblem ,paint yellow then have By TheRickfix written in the middle of the yellow part.
thankx terry, good idea on the emblem,u r right on the uni lug,i got some but the holes seem to be too large where the shank goes, ill show better in the next vid,i might have the wrong size but some of the holes seem worn,i hope not cause i realy like the look they give the car, thankx for watching,tc
Awesome looking Rick. I like the idea of the color matched bowtie, but from the video perspective I cannot say which one I d prefer. It's your baby, so I say do what makes you happy.
Car looks amazing. I too would go for the large bow tie. As for color on the bow tie, how about yellow on the outside rim and carbon fiber inside. Just throwing it out there to think about.
thankx, good idea on the colors for the bow tie,im going to do a few of them in different colors and will try them all, lol, ill beable to change it up now and again for a different look, thankx for watching,tc
Shw looks amazing :) I like the big bowtie also. It looks nice in gold or I am sure will look good yellow. Its just a beautiful car :) you should be proud, you should be very proud of yourself :)
thankx cary,i am very proud of how she turned out,i still havent seen it out in the sun but hoping that happens this weekend, finaly supposed to stop raining,i can hardly wait to see it sitting outside, thankx for watching,tc
Looking very nice. I think the emblem looks a bit large for the grille, but it might balance out once you paint the center yellow. For me, it is hard to picture unless I see the final results.
thankx reubin, going to be awhile before i paint the bowties but i think being the same color as the car will look good, just seen your new gun and looks good, for some reason i couldnt comment on that vid but looks like u r getting real close,tc and thankx for watching
the emblem looks a bit large for the car and yellow may be too much. However if you did it in the carbon fiber wrap that would look nice. Glad to hear the boys are feeling better
ive got a few of these emblems so im going to paint a few in different colors and try the carbon fibre look too and see which one looks the best, boys r back to normal now and terrorizing their parents, lol, but some glad, thankx for watching,tc
nice ,nice, nice, nice, nice, nice, job guys the bow tie I like the bigger one jeff had a good idea carbon fiber it but leave the perimeter silver ,hope the rims are ok ,maiden voyage vid will be coming sooner than you think take care both of ya
thankx, going to try a few different colors and see how they look but i do like it without any too so might just have them in the trunk for a change up now and again, lol, thankx for watching,tc
Those look like wheels that use a shanked lug nut/ If the nuts are centered in the holes now you would use lug nuts like these static.summitracing.com/global/images/prod/large/crr-27721-4_w.jpg The shank centers and carries the load of the vehicle. If you need that style nut but use the "normal" nuts you will damage the wheels and probably break a few studs. As for refinishing those. If they are made of a magnesium/aluminum alloy they will polish up nice BUT never like chrome. Take a bit of Mothers polish and try it. You could easily polish them up and then clear them.
thankx steve, those look like the ones i got but the wheels might be damaged because when i got the car someone did use the normal nuts, still waiting to get them checked out,i did try the mothers polish and they do shine up good but they have a lot of nicks in them,if they arent ruined im going to get them worked on but if they r damaged ill go with something different,i hope i can get to use them,i realy like the look, thankx ofr watching,tc
Wow $500 to refinish the wheels? Seems lots. I wonder if someone near you could polish them for you, cheaper. Otherwise what is the difference in buying new wheels? They have some nice new style wheels out. Or have you ever thought bout Torque Thrusts or the old Five Spoke Crager S/S?
Looks great Rick. You have a sweet little helper. She is definitely a keeper. So is the car :)
thankx michael,,oh yes i will keep her,i think ill keep the nova too, lol, thankx for watching,tc

Hard part is over and it's really shaping up! That emblem would look cool painted yellow, it would look even cooler if it was a Ford emblem :)
Awesome looking Rick. I like the idea of the color matched bowtie, but from the video perspective I cannot say which one I
d prefer. It's your baby, so I say do what makes you happy.
Car looks amazing. I too would go for the large bow tie.
