Thank you for watching and commenting, Happy New Year.
Well done mate. Same as anything, gets better with practice.
Thank you for watching and commenting, Happy New Year.
Hello Steve,
An interesting video.... Wishing you a Happy New Year....
Take care.
Paul,,
Happy new year!
Hi Steve, to me one scary thing to tackle.. sparks everywhere!
You are right about that. If I have any large amount of cutting to do I will move the operation out to the driveway. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Gday Steve, the plasma cutter did a great job, I’ve never used one but after seeing this I might just have to look a little harder and start sweet talking the wife, all the best for the new year mate, Cheers
I don't do enough fabrication to justify a Hypertherm or other branded cutter. But for the price this was worth a try. I think that it will do anything that I need. Happy New Year! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Get one Matty, I bought one on impulse after seeing Randy Richard as well, and after testing it, I am blown away at how easy and effective it is.
Worn out 4 of these CUT50 plasma cutters over the years. Min 50-60 Psi 20 Amp min.
Thanks for watching and commenting
Steve I run mine at 50psi for ever thickness.........Have a Great New Year
I have mine set at 50 now. Will experiment some more with it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hello my name is Harold and you did a bunch better than I did on my first time with a plasma cutter. I had the ground wire in the wrong hole. I called the guy who sold the machine and he was totally disgusted that he had sold his cheap plasma cutter/welder/tig welder to such an idiot.
LOL Happy New Year, Harold. See you on the live stream.
Would you call that a "steep" learning kerf?
@@howder1951 Not too bad. Just take a little practice.
Hi Steve hope you had a Great Christmas & your going to Have a Better New Year 2022
A while back I bought a Cut60 & set it up, but I still have to get into it & do some test cutting like yourself. In my book it states to use 50 psi + to get rid of the Hot Metal. It's supposed to be able to cut Steel .. Aluminium ... Brass .. Stainless etc, .. will try these out when I get time.
Good review, will catch you on Your next venture.
I did not get any instructions with it at all. Through experimenting 60 psi seemed to work the best. I am looking forward to using it in a project. Thanks for watching and commenting.
air pressure at 80psi and turn the amp knob all the way up.. the machine will control the air flow. I dont know why those machines have a volt knob.
I will be experimenting with it. Thanks for commenting.
One we got is 110v unit, so you should be better off than us, if it starts over heating and tripping breaker, change out your ground wire to a copper wire, they sneaked aluminum coated with copper on us, thinking 🤔 that's the reason for popping breakers, will let you know if works when we get around to changing ours out, we found a cheap set of jumper cables at local scrap yard and are going to try that before ordering expensive new ground leads, oh anything over ⅛ inch think, we just crank amps all way up along with alot more air pressure, blows the slag right off usually, oh one more thing, if you can hold tip of cutting head off the piece between a ¹/¹⁶ & a ⅛, you won't burn up tips as much, when eventually burns one, it will spit and spudder and act all kinds of craziness🥴, good luck, plenty of practice, like most things will help!
Thanks for watching and for the heads up. Happy New Year
@@sharkrivermachinetry out the video below, another idea make tips last longer, wire w ones are junk, don't bother, trust us, they burn up in about 15 seconds if your lucky. We're going to be getting the heavy-duty stand off soon as soon as we test out the over heating problems we've been having, hope helps they are a million videos out there and this seemed to be the most simple, short and concise one could find:

Great cuts for your fist time Steve, you will be a pro soon! As the material thickness increases so does the need to travel SLOW & STEADY to keep the plasma cutting 100% thru. What is great about plasma is that it will cut ANY METAL that can conduct electricity. [An oxy torch cuts only steels except stainless steels, cast iron]
I was not sure about aluminum, I assumed that it would cut. Will have to give it a try. Happy New Year and thank you for watching and commenting.
Hi Steve. I've watched a few reviews of the Cut50 and for the money they're a great addition to anyone's shop. Cheers kevin
I think so. Time will tell. Thanks for watching.
never take mine off the 50 amp setting and adjust my movement for penitration. always use max air setting as well and never touch the settings
Will try it out. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Do you have any problem with duty cycle at that setting, or are you not doing long cuts?
@@howder1951 never had an issue, was cutting up 10 in. I beams, it never gave me any problems
Great video. Nice plasma cutter. Air pressure on any I ever used was 50-55 psi that allowed for good clean cut that cut all the way threw. Thank you for sharing. Happy new year.
Thanks for the tips! Thank you for watching.
Steve, with a pile of different thicknesses of scrap to play with, you can spend some quality time really dialing in _your_ amps, pressures, speeds, vs. metal thicknesses fairly quickly, I think. Just keep notes if you're as forgetful as I am and don't use it enough to easily remember everything! ;) Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching and commenting
Happy new year Steve. Great new tool for you. I had always ran them a bit hot and high on the air pressure.
Thank you for the advice. Happy new year! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Happy new year Steve, great to see you out in the tube-land. I saw that Randy Richard video as well and I did the same thing. For a little over $300 Canadian it seems like a good thing to try out. It has been a little too cold this last week so it has not been tested yet. Having never used one of these, I am on level ground with you to start. Too bad Randy doesn't get a kick back for influencing the market. Take care and cheers!
It was in the 50's F this weekend but going to pay for it. Cold weather and snow coming to my region tomorrow. Seems to be a good purchase so far. Thank you for watching and commenting, Happy New Year.
