    Guys, another very good distinction he makes at 6:30 where he points out the BB will be installed "FLUSH" with the frame with a 'second' special tool.

    hi, im going to be installing my own bb soon, once i get my frameset shipped. i was wondering when pressfit tool, the adapter you put against the bearing, is that safe when tightening with lever while pressing in frame at same time? i'm not familiar so i want to make sure. it goes in only one way? i was confused since you flipped it once then put it back in the other way. thank you if you can clarify for me.

    Hi there,
    There is Sram BB104,5 press-fit bottom bracket on my downhill bike. Is there any other more quality options for this? I couldn't see any other bottom brackets on this size.

    So you would need to buy the press tool as well? Or would the lbs have the specific matching press fit end to install it?

    • @rgmtb
      @rgmtb  Před 3 lety

      Your bike shop will have it. These are standard BB tools 👍 Very good question and I should have mentioned that. Thanks for asking.

    Could you do a video on how to come off with a tire when the wheel has a Cush core set up???

    • @mtbboy1993
      @mtbboy1993 Před 3 lety +1

      I think you mean how to uninstall a tyre with Cush core installed, that's easy, press bead into centre of rim, to get enough slack, and then use tyre lever to lift the bead over the rim, and then slide the lever to open it up then you can fill sealant in if that's what you want, or continue to remove the tyre.

    • @rgmtb
      @rgmtb  Před 3 lety

      Good advice. I no longer use Cush Core and ride Rimpact wheel inserts.

    • @mtbboy1993
      @mtbboy1993 Před 3 lety

      @@rgmtb same procedure no matter if you use an insert or not.

    • @rgmtb
      @rgmtb  Před 3 lety +1

      I would disagree. When working with Cush Core there is a yelling and screaming step included Hahahaha!

    • @mtbboy1993
      @mtbboy1993 Před 3 lety

      @@rgmtb nah, if you do it wrong then yes, for me it's easy, just get enough slack. but if tyre is stuck, you can kneel down on the rim, and press the tyre off the bead, I had to do this few times, mostly I don't, but when removing the Ice Spiker I had to do that, they sat very well in the rim. but that's just common things no related to Cush Core. I can install Cush Core in few seconds, install tyre in about 2 mins, install whole thing takes about 3-4 mins I guess, maybe 5 depending on how well the pumping goes, I use a Fumpa pump, which is basically a mini compressor. it takes half a minute to pump one up. unless something is wrong.

    Just wondering, did you install it bottom brackets on the wrong side. I just would think it was meant to be tighted in the way that you pedal

    • @rgmtb
      @rgmtb  Před 2 lety

      I'm pretty sure this was correct based on the instructions I received. I can totally double check but think I did it right.

    Has anybody 'felt' how smooth WHEELS MANUFACTURING BB'S re compared to CANE CREEK or even CHRIS KING? (don't chime in stupidly if you have not, stay quiet)

      I have wm and ck on both of my bike. Wm is smoother but not by much.

  • @31acruz
    @31acruz Před 2 lety

    Ok now you said that "stupidly", you DO NOT"press it in", as you suggested like a press in BB, which requires both sides to be pressed in. On this one YOU ONLY PRESS ONE SIDE, and you SCREW . difference which you said nothing about. The installation portion of the video was very good, at least you showed the part you misspoke.
