So what seems logical is to keep the surplus links when you fit a new chain. And why aren’t you doing this yourself?

I think it really depends how a person is going to ride their bike. If they are aggressive and doing a lot of jumps and going fast downhill on a mountain…it is not smart to go cheap on parts when placing the bike under so much stress. If someone is just doing trail riding on easy trails and enjoying riding their bike for exercise, buying cheaper parts probably will work because those parts were probably designed for that type of riding.

I'm having a slow leak problem myself, it seems the base of my presta valve is leaking. I've taken it to the bike shop twice and they've changed the tube twice now and I'm still having this problem, I have no idea what to do at this point

Yikes, your "Bike Chain Expert" gets it Wrong straight out the Gate. At 01:02 to 01:15 he claims Bicycle Chain Pitch has always been 1/8th inch ? ? ? In actuality, it's 4 x that much @ 1/2 inch. I wouldn't trust this guy to operate a Popsicle Stick !

Not related...but you had few videos on archer components shifter i had mine for one season a gen 1 and the motor burned ! Can we fix this..archer offers me a deal on gen 2 shifter but im in Canada and money exchange and costum i paid enough already and i dont want the fear of getting stuck in the trails with batteries not charge or a motor that can easyly burn...im back with mechanical xtr goes real good and if i feel like going back to electronic shifting it wont be archer...

At what angle do I mount the derailleur since the bracket doesn’t have a tab like yours that basically sets it..

When I have a bike company, I’m going to call them what they are. “Bike Co. Trail Bike XT”. You know what it does and what the specs are without needing to watch a tutorial 👍 Unrelated, Polygons are great. Got a T8, an Xtrada for my son, and a T7 when he outgrew it. They sneak in a few cheap components, but I never had to sell a kidney up front for something ever so slightly better - like the Canyon whatever it’s called - basically identical, but more than twice the price where I live.

That thing moves around way too much for me.

It's just a cheap knockoff version of low end Shokz headphones, OpenMove with similar prices. I would love to see someone completely tear down these headphones see they are pretty much identical. All made in China, probably made at a factory right across from where Shokz are made.

Installed one on my bike, it remotely starts a chainsaw I have attached to the front of my bike, verrry useful piece of kit.

I figured out I was old when I was browsing Amazon for a new chain for my 9 speed downhill bike. Found all these cool KMC DLC chains but only in 10 speed. No cool coatings or anything special for 9 speed. Only found the chain, I’m already using

Thank you for this helpful video! I think the "bacon" and fork tool that came as part of my Crankbrothers multi tool is most similar to the Wolf Tooth that you showed. I didn't know how to use it, in case its needed and now I do. As for any excess length of plug on the outside of the tire - we just leave it, or maybe trim it when we get home? A bit off topic, but I hope the other watchers here, and you. rarely need to use this! I used to ride with one of the founders of Crankbros, but that was a very long time ago before a lot of innovations. We were still on 26" wheels (what are those), and using tubes.
