    Really creative design, you have to give it to them. loved my barkit tool

    First off, I use and like a lot of woolftooth components, I greatly respect the fact that they are manufactured here. That being said, it seems to be a solution to a problem that really doesn’t exist. Add that to the fact that the 360 degree actuation means that one errant branch and your seat is dropping at a time when you may not want it to.

      Nah its actually brilliant because for example if you are racing you can stand and sprint and actuate the lever with your finger so you dont have to shift your hand back to use your thumb.
      Plus for those who might have thumb issues.

      well the lever stile can be hit with your knee, yea and also you can be hit by lightning. This is a copy of the X-FUSION HILO, I sold my dropper and I kept the lever and use it in 3 different droppers

    Oh thats cool! I like how you can just hit it anywhere and poof! Nice job!

    Bought two and onstalled one which I used a couple of times.
    Much better design than levers. And being able to use your finger when sprinting is a big help.

    I think that looks super cool. I struggle to find a good position with my current wolf tooth lever.

    makes sense because your arm/hand angle in relation to the remote changes depending on your body position. you won't have to adjust your wrist to push the lever, just flick it from any angle your wrist is already in!

    Seems like a good fit for non traditional MTB setups like alt or maybe curly bars. Not so sure I like just the grub screw method of securing the cable, I foresee the cable creeping with repeated use. Also what happens when you get cable stretch and need to slacken the barrel adjuster then feed more cable into the lever. The grub screw is going to crimp and bend the cable and cause potential challenges to changing your cable length. It seems like a cool idea, but may need a bit more R&D work.

    @1:09 don't break bolt tension with the ball end 🤦
    Interesting product, reasonable review. What's the end of the grubscrew like (conical, flat, ring), what mark does it leave on the cable? Could be significant if multiple retensions are needed.

    On my last MTB ride I crashed on a big drop and my dropper lever went ham on my thumb. This might have saved me the injury

    Installed one on my bike, it remotely starts a chainsaw I have attached to the front of my bike, verrry useful piece of kit.

    Very cool design. Great for guys with thumb pain so they can actuate the dropper any way they want. But aesthetically I prefer a regular lever; I prefer Bike Yoke Triggy Alpha.

    Got to admit it has been done before
    But it makes sense to be able to hit it at any angle in a panic
    All we need now is the blue tooth version

    This thing just came out when I was looking around for a lever to replace the god-awful trans-x one so I gave it a go. No complaints so far other than the barrel adjuster was damn near welded on when I got it so the plastic now looks like something chewed it up. Nothing life-changing but I like the flexibility and would buy one again over a regular lever (at least the wolf tooth one specifically since its well-machined and has spare parts available)

    Cables don't actually stretch so you wouldn't have to worry about that. What does move, is the ferrules and housing ends. They compress and settle in as you apply pressure to levers...so as long as the housing and ferrules are seated and compressed, you shouldn't have to adjust the barrel too much initially.

    This is same exact lever design from Maverick Speedball and CB Joplin dropper post over a decade ago.

  • @haemmertime
    @haemmertime Před 6 měsíci

    I have an earlier version of it but it isn't the ideal one for me, I like the traditional design more also because it is mor hidden below the breaklever. What I also don't like about the one I have is that I need to push quite far before something happens, this could be solved on the newer version though.

  • @bradsanders6954
    @bradsanders6954 Před 6 měsíci

    What I would really like, is a dropper post that doesnt need me to really push it down so hard to make it move, Sometimes it doesnt happen quick enough.

    I like it but the price is a little steep to replace something that I already have that I'm used to and have no issues with.

  • @paulmanias8269

    This design seems like there would be less issues in a crash either damaging the lever or you.

    I can't believe I am saying this about Wolftooth but this looks like a knock off of a lever KS first brought out many years ago.
