I'm an old geezer (75) and have seen A LOT of rock bands and heard A LOT of rock music in my life. The Maids are THE BEST rock band I have seen in many, many, many years. Band-Maid has restored my belief that great rock music is not dead, it just resides in Japan.
Yep. They've affected a lot of us oldies the same way man. They will be seen as an important band in the rock history timeline, by future music lovers.
Sadly, those in control over what's popular in the U.S. (radio, TV, magazines) will never allow all these great Japanese bands to get a foot hold here. I still listen to radio (FM) when in my car and some times at home and most of the stations have been taken over by Clear Channel and are crap. There are still some independent stations around, but they're mostly classic rock now. I'm 78 and know exactly how you feel.

Best liveband ever in this planet. They are pure magic 🔥🤘❤️ I just love Band-Maid.
Band-Maid quickly became this old guys top band. NOT just Japanese band! of all my time! They have more songs that my previous put together. They are a rock core but they also put in metal, punk, pop, and even jazz. So no to songs are exactly the same. Their live songs are fantastic, so I'd suggest Don't You Tell ME and HATE?. But my biggest love is the MV for the song Dice. It was my first and it's pop punk perfection!
I am glad you like them. They tend to be upbeat -- and the drummer is the happiest, smilingest drummer. You should watch "Freedom" live -- happy, upbeat ... and a great drum solo. Also, from the same concert "Domination" live. Oh, and "Play" live. More recent live videos are fantastic -- e.g. "Don't You Tell Me".
I suggest these Band Maid songs: Thrill, Dice, Manners, Bubble, Blooming, Puzzle (live), Hate (live), No God (live), Don't You Tell Me (live) & Play (live)
BTW - Band Maid & The Warning are big fans of each other. Plus they're playing a concert together in Tokyo in June

This was only their third single, and the b-side at that! “Daydreaming” was the a-side and another great song. Slower tempo so it highlights their versatility.
If you enjoy live performances, discovering Band Maid is like hitting the lottery. They consistently outperform their studio tracks.

Prepare yourselves. Band Maid has been around since 2013 and have recorded over 125 songs. Without exaggeration, 40-50 of them are radio-friendly, legitimate Billboard hit-worthy tracks
The maid costumes is to create the "the Gap" meaning the difference in what you are seeing Demure Maids vs what you are hearing Hard Rock. The band was founded by Miku Kobato, guitar, vocals and lyrics 10 years ago. They write and produce all their songs.
Band-Maid are extremely good. There is no need to mislead. They didn't "write ... all their songs". They wrote none of the music or lyrics on the first two albums ("Maid in Japan", "New Beginning"). They only wrote the music for one song, and Miku wrote the lyrics for three on "Brand New Maid". Until the fourth album, "Just Bring It", they didn't even write the majority of the songs on their albums. They have come a long way.
BAND-MAID is fantastic, but it's also really cool to see the three of you interact like this. What a great family!

Seems cliché to say.."but you haven't seen anything yet"..I know cheezy..hehe..But they have so much more to offer...I adore this band and have flown out to Japan from the UK twice to see them LIVE...Their MV's are great...But they really shine LIVE.....I'm sure others will give you more info regards the ladies ( I would but YT deletes my comments )..Long May They Reign!👑

From Japan. Thank you for coming back to BANND-MAID. Last year they celebrated 10 years since their formation and had an anniversary tour in the U.S. and Japan. The song "Choose Me" is a little bit old, but we play it at most of our concerts. The latest official live videos of four songs from the final concert of the anniversary tour at Yokohama Arena have been uploaded. In this video, you can see a more evolved BANND-MAID. We hope you enjoy BANND-MAID😄 I will probably get a lot of recommendations from you guys at Maidiac.

I saw them in Atlanta as well. Thought would be a "bucket list" thing. Nope. I flew to Minneapolis to see them again. Now anxiously awaiting their next U. S. announcement. I hope all three of you will get the wonderful opportunity to see Band-Maid perform live.
All I can say is I love this band.
Saw them last May in Atlanta. They hit the stage at 120mph and barely take a breath before knocking out 5-6 songs. 👍

Ladies, I really enjoy your reactions. It's wonderful to see three generations enjoying the same music. I'm 77 and have been following rock since the late 1950's and Band Maid is the best I have seen since classic rock died in the US at the end of the 1970's. I'm one of the many older fans who have pledged themselves to the ladies of the band as Maidiacs. They are something literally never seen before in their way of approaching their music. They have a true love affair with their fans, which is reciprocated back to them by us. You haven't lived until you have seen them live. I don't know if they will be in the US in 2024, but you have to keep track of them to see when they will be here. They were here in the fall of 2022 and then May and August of 2023. I've seen them three times and I wish I could have been to every show. To show you how they are with their fans, a fan brought their 6 year old daughter to the show in Salt Lake City in 2023 dressed as a maid and Miku, the band's founder and general emcee saw her and started crying. She had the little girl help her with cheerleading the crowd like they do at every show. It was so cute. If you want to see it, just put in "Band Maid - Salt Lake City 2023 - Miku's Mini-Me". It's just adorable.
If you really want to see their musicianship at it's best, react to the live official video of "Onset" and the music video of "From Now On". Both of them are instrumentals, which is another thing that they do that no one else does. Another great song from the same concert is the live official video of "Freedom". You will never run out of excellent Band Maid songs to react to, they have a catalogue of over 130 great songs to choose from. Enjoy !!!!

You can't go wrong with Band-Maid, but I think they are best live. This is a great song, but doesn't really begin to display some of the more talented showcasing of the individuals...I would suggest 'Domination' or 'Freedom' both live from this same concert at Line Cube Shibuya, for more special instrumental parts. Great to see how everyone enjoyed this one though!

Glad you liked this! Band-Maid brought my interest in new music back to life after tuning out in the late 90's and early 2000's. I started listening to music in the 60's and have heard a lot over the years, but these ladies have made me listen to the older music in a new way! They just released three new songs from their tenth year anniversary concert in Yokohama Arena in Tokyo, "HATE?", "Don't you tell ME!", and "Endless Story", and all are fantastic! Fair warning, "HATE?" is a little spicy and is a proper break-up song leaving no question what Saiki, the lead singer and writer of the lyrics in the song, thinks about cheaters! Hope to see more Band-Maid on your channel!
Thank you for reviewing Band-Maid again, my favorite band in a very long time. As for recommendations, since all songs are great, just choose any video on their YT channel. BTW, their very first music video from 2015 was "Thrill" and introduced a new style of music (for them and as they later found out, saved them from being cancelled).
"Choose Me" -- a song featured in the Netflix original movie "KATE" and the HBO Max series Peacemaker as BAND MAID, has so many great RnR chops, it's kinda unbelievable. From Saiki's old-school phrasing, cadence and a super soulful vocal at the end; MISA's driving bass, her special riff after Kanami's brilliant, rocking main solo (complete with harmonic pinch), and her pulls at the end of the song that really funks it up with Akane's drumming; to Kanami's original composition, off-beat octave stretches during the verses, and her addition of a second uncomplicated yet super tasty solo; to Akane's unique snare & tom flurry that launches the choruses; and to Miku's octave-down, in & out vocal backup and lyrics... all makes "Choose Me" a throwback rocker that surprised me when I first heard it - and I'll bet most anyone - that they would come up with this western-style, rock 'n roll classic.
Of course, after years later, it's not surprising at all coming from this important band of geniuses who are, along with The Warning band, almost single-handedly bringing back the joy of rock. I have seen whole families at Band-Maid concerts. They transcend generation. They write gorgeous music and, wow, can they play. For us old rock fans this is like oxygen after years of being smothered in terrible music. See them live if you ever have the chance!

This is my first listen to Band Maid . Fast paced great musicians . . I found it hard to watch due to the fast paced editing .
Looking forward to seeing footage of The Warning and Band Maid's show in Tokyo . . Interestingly the venue there will hold less than 2000 . . And the other 2 The Warning shows are in venues less than 1000 . I wouild of thought Band Maid would of been massive in Japan but not as big as overseas . Sorry im waffling .

When a band's B-side is better than most band's top single you know you are onto something special.
You can't go wrong with BAND-MAID they have a backlog of 10 years of great songs, most of which the LIVE is the definitive version, with a few exceptions, which are 'Blooming', 'Shambles' and 'Rinne' being the ones where the OMV is preferable as well as 'Unleash' which you already reacted too. Keep going. They just get better and better!

Sometimes you gotta do the mv although this great the mv is fantastic just like dice the mv is great but if you want another live suggestion try moratorium or take me higher official live you will be destroyed by both of those

Some songs are faster tempo, more intense, and require instrumental virtuosity. It's good that you three are all on the same 'Band-Maid' page. Band-Maid didn't write any of the music or lyrics on their first two albums, and only music for one song on the third. I prefer the stuff they write.

Tame for BAND-MAID. This concert's mix isn't the greatest - it's hard to hear the instruments during solos - but the ladies put on an amazing show. I hope you guys will do a song from their 10th Anniversary concert. That mix is fantastic and BAND-MAID were in epic form.
