My passion for reading started with Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. I'm 53 now, but remember like yesterday being in the elementary library and reading the next Nancy Drew, which was an obsession by that point. Thank you to the Nancy's!
Loved Nancy drew as a little girl I used to beg to go to the library to read her mysteries.
My favorite reading as a young girl. Started my passion for reading and learning.

there was another series of books I used to read about a little girl who was a spy or she solved neighborhood mysteries. I can't remember what they were called.

One of the early writers of the Nancy Drew, Millie Benson, a Toledo, Ohio native and longtime Toledo Blade quiet. She was a real broad in the best sense of the word. I was fortunate to meet her once and she talked about her experiences. They're right when they say in her books, Nancy was like Millie.
When I was in elementary school I read all the Nancy Drew books.

I am the biggest fan of Nancy Drew video games I’ve played so many computer games when I was a kid I never finish them Because they made me very jumpy but I love them
I was 10 and then there was no looking back to how much I enjoyed the books. I want to get back to it. Also, the Graphic Novels are great fun!

My favorite stories from my childhood were Mrs. Piggle Wiggle and Nancy Drew. I really wish it was possible to find the 1930s ND versions. I'd like to read her stories the way Millie wrote them, not just the 'modernized' copies.
I'd rather stick with the older version of Nancy drew than the modern version.🙄

@@JulieSkinner777 you do realize that just because a series was once for kids doesnt mean every form it takes has to be for kids, the nancy drew casefiles series from the 80s and 90s was aimed at older teens, and the show it aimed at adults, yall cant seem to get that through your head
It would be so nice to see someone young and Latinx as the main news anchor. It will attract a new generation which will have loyalty for years to come.

@@natashav3442 it try’s to normalize bad social behavior. Nancy’s mom being gone, makes her seem like she needed a better female role model.
@@natashav3442 I mean in the newer version of Riverdale, he’s having an affair with a teacher, all of the characters have questionable behavior, and less than perfect parents.
It came out later during court hearings that Mildred Wirt Benson wrote many of the first original Nancy Drews as a ghostwriter. I believe Harriet S. would edit them & did write some later titles. Mildred honored her agreements she signed to remain anonymous until she was summoned as a witness in court. It unraveled a decades long true life mystery with more twists and turns than a Nancy plotline.
She was the soundtrack of my youth
And in 2 years the first four Nancy Drew books will be in public domain.

The new show is good. Hope it will survive the pandemic. BTW I'm part of the Pamela sue Martin Shaun Cassidy generation and read the books.
Season 2 just started up, and it's been renewed for Season 3.
The 4th and final season starts May 31, 2023.
You def. left out Pamela Sue Martin who played Nancy Drew in The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew mysteries that aired back in the 1970's. Shaun Cassidy and Parker Stevens were The Hardy Boys......shame shame! They were the best.

Why do they have to put six scenes in everything! Now I won't watch the show, very disappointing as I had several of her books when I was young. I also read the hardy boys and I bet they don't add sex to those shows. Believe it or not you can have a modern show without sex and it be about the story only. Also, if this is marketed for kids they don't need to see adult themes as children. I am very ery disappointed.
