My grandma always tells me to mind my manors.
I laughed out loud at this one lol that was good!
*golf clap*
Manned?
Nice! Double finger guns.
Good one!!!😂😂
"Don't worry about losing people, worry more about losing equipment, it's expensive"
Spoken like a true medieval lord 😂
Hahaha Role Playing to the max :D
kinda stupid that you lose ALL the equipment of any dudes that get killed tho, loss rate should be 50% at WORST and entirely disregarding the shit you'd be looting from fallen enemies too
This is crazy the games not even out yet and this dude has a 2 hour long guide...
Not sure if you noticed, but my guides take literal days to produce - this one took about 30 hours to make between the testing, recording, tweaking the build order and editing. The previous guide I made also took around 30 hours to make. There's no way I could get these out at a reasonable rate if I waited until the game launched sure to how much work goes into them.
@@Strat-Guides thank you for you work man
That is because he ruins his fun to make sure people like you could feel accomplished.
@@Strat-Guides thanks, you're the man !
It has early access...
Your guide was the best I've seen on CZcams yet. I have just bought the game and I am a grandma, a gaming grandma actually. Your step-by-step explanations were really helpful was so well explained they gave me the confidence to give this game a real go. Thank you
Haha nice! I'm glad to know my title and thumbnail are officially NOT clickbait and a true gamer grandma understood the guide :D Good luck on your campaign!
I’m a Grandma too . I’m not too bad on the city building but I need a lot of advice for fighting the bandits so this has been helpful
I'm already feeling the urge to knit and fall asleep on city buses.
Lol!
you do not want to put your logging camp close to the berries, if you do not assign a logging area away from the berries, the workers will log your berry patch and it will be gone.
The well is used by citizens to put out fires. From either raiders or lightning strikes. Also some of the artisans need water for their crafting it seems. Having multiple wells spaced around can definitely help
Yeah that's a great point! They are pretty much free buildings too at a single timber, so it's a no-brainer to put several.
You can move wild game around your map until it’s near your berries by placing a building on the animals and deleting it. The animals will migrate over and over until you find your favorite spot.
I just tested it, and this is an awesome hint. :)
The building I love to use to force the move is the Corpse Pit. It costs nothing and is tiny so it can be removed easily once it's not needed.
My grandma would have never been able to win Manor Lords without this guide, we was about to give up on her as a family.
Now she doesn't have to be banished into the woods and I get to keep my grandma for another year.
Thank you Strat Gaming!
My grandma would understand but have a heart attack like half an hour in.
Oh no! I should have put a disclaimer that I'm not responsible for cardiac arrest during the guide :P
This was tbh one of the best and most comprehensive guides I’ve seen yet, well done!
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words :)
This helped me a ton for my first campaign, trust me. This corrects so many mistakes you might make and answers questions on many issues which I ran into.
Thanks Flesson! I appreciate your help with editing as well :)
how are you guys playing this game its not even out yet
@@serelithmodeus3373 they gave earlier access to content creators and media. Much cheaper than paying for advertisement
@@Flesson19 Love your Bannerlord guides Flesson. Hopefully you will have some Manor Lords guides.
@@jeffreypellet5918 already have 1 guide and 1 if you should buy manor lords video up
God tier guide. First time viewer here, and I want to compliment and applaud your guides. Man you put so much work into this, and I greatly appreciate this. Leagues above any other full guide on YT. Definitely subscribed, and look forward to future content. Keep up all the hard work brother.
Thank you, I appreciate that!
lol another one of grandmas gems, good work man!
Thanks! Grandma loves hee reading materials so I decided to add the text to go with this one - hopefully that helps a bit more
Thank you, kind sir! I have enjoyed having you as a mentor. The video was put together really well.
Glad it was helpful!
Im a grandma and i feel very well educated from this video. 👵🏻
I'm glad to hear that! Thanks for watching :)
Hey, Nana.
Me too
Wow! I’ve watched a lot of other play throughs of this game and yours is so much more informative and knowledgeable. Super impressive that you were able to analyze this game so thoroughly and quickly to figure out all the specific to dos and not to dos. I’m not playing this game yet but when I do I will definitely be referring back to this video to make sure I get off to a good start. Really good job on this Sir!
Thanks for watching! Yeah I spent about 20 hours or so doing trial runs to see what aspects of the game I can cut out. There are so many options that I didn't want to overwhelm a new player, so this is mostly the bare necessities :) good luck on your run when you start!!
Thanks for the comprehensive guide. My settlement is up and running and my villagers made it thru the first year without too much trouble. Thanks!
Nice job!! Good luck on the rest of your campaign :)
I have to say bro, WHAT A FANTASTIC WALKTROUGH!! Best video out here!!
Thank you, I'm glad this was helpful!
Off the bat, the amount of effort is really appreciated. Liked and (already) subbed
He does good work hey
Thank you for noticing! Hopefully this is helpful in a few days :)
Man you are a genius. I've seen lots of guides, none explain like you do. Keep it up man .
Thanks! Glad this was helpful
Great job man!! Awesome content as always! Looking forward to growing my town.
This is the best clearly explained guide I've seen for this game. I learned things I didn't even think of.
Glad I could help!
Came for the content and got bonus Notion template. You are too kind good sir! ❤
Thanks for watching! I've got a ton of notion database for Manor Lords already posted - production Numbers are out and I'm working on farming outputs, plowing and harvesting times etc.
This guide is just another level above anything else out there. Grandma would be proud.
She would reward me with salt water taffy candy for my efforts :D
Damn dude you're such an underrated channel. Wish I had whatever gene gives you that drive. Kudos dude
Thanks!! I think it's called being too dumb to know better lol I work too much :p
Haha no, thank you. I found your channel when I was playing bannerlord and binged it like crazy. Looking forward to binging some more now that I bought Manor Lords!
Finally a game with curved roads and what do we do...? Make strait roads ;) Very good video btw.
About the sawpit I think you can set up a construction reserve.
Nah, my town is all curvy and I made the houses do a circle around the market stalls and water supply, it worked out great.
Dont forget the housing lots. Let's make those as tight and square as possible 😁
thank you so much for this guide! i’m very inexperienced in these types of games, but manor lord has something else, between the best graphism in its genre and very demanding in management part. thanks to that guide i now understand everything
Glad I could help!
The best guide. Thank you ! Every other guide ive seen they just talk to you as if you already know it all.
Thanks for watching! I'm glad this was helpful :D
This is glorious best tutorial on CZcams watched this over multiple times helped me a ton to understand the systems better thank you!
I'm happy to hear that! Thanks for watching :)
Easily one of the best and most comprehensive guides I've watched yet. I had no idea how trade worked and how necessary it was. Thought I will say, I have been claimed by the rival duke and lost before, so there is a bit of a ticking clock.
Thanks for the video, man. As much as I love strategy and city builders, they can be overwhelming. Your video has been a valuable asset towards getting the most out of Manor Lords.
Glad it was helpful!
This was extremely useful. I have been playing the game trying to learn, and this gives tons of useful info. Thank you for the effort in making this.
Glad it was helpful! I'm working on another big video covering all the topics I've done testing and experiments on coming soon for more advanced stuff
My grandma also told me, there is no downtime cause life goes on.
Wise lady :D
Really enjoying your guide. I watched a few people talk about it before release. This guide was very informative and fun to watch. You got a new sub. :) Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can't wait for the game to release! And feels like i found a great channel for guides! Great stuff as usual!
Thanks! I've got a few more huge guides coming soon
this guy makes THE BEST guides i've seen. people learn differently but the way he provides information seems to absorb into my brain wrinkles nicely.
This video and the checklist is amazing! Thank you very much.
One thing I found interesting in this guide - why no Manor built early? It allows you to have specialized unit that does not take from worker pool (so can be constantly raised).. just taking one raider camp to personal tresury and you will have enough to buy few more of them. Then just park the unit in the middle of the map and take out any raider camps that spawn. No militia needed, they are freaking tanks.
The main reason is that's more of an advanced strategy to pull off. They are amazing units, but not always easy to get the cash to afford them. Going the militia route made the most sense because you get the weapons for free and ties in nicely with the population growth (20 men at 10 plots).
A manor requires 2 families as well as servants. Early game you might not be able to lose 2 families
I agree though the retinue is much more efficient than the militia for cleaning bandit camps
there is like "milion guides" but only this one one is really clear and helpfull - grandma in me sayin hallo and thanx :D ! great job duke-dude, really approciate it
Thanks for this, after watching a few guides on here this is by far the best out there, clear concise no waffle or fillers easy to follow,
Great job man keep it up. Subbed.
An outstanding tutorial. I stumbled upon this game and of the three or four walk-throughs, yours is the best. You sound like an educator by training: clean, clear use of the language makes this one of the best I've seen. Subbed, and Thanks!
I know the guide is good, when I see notion TODO lists. Keep it up!
Yes!! Notion is such an amazing tool :D
Brilliant! You have an absolutely fantastic guide and really showed some aspects to gameplay. I watched a few other beginner guides and some explained concepts but your explanations told many why's to your actions and that was much appreciated. I got much more content from watching this video. I highly recommend it to starting players.
Something I've found to be very useful later in the game is that you can build extra storage houses and limit their storage to one single kind of produce. That way, those storehouse workers will focus on that specific trade good alone.
I remember grandma understanding ck3 before me and now it’s manor lords. Grandma please teach 😩
Haha nice! I'm glad these are helping :D
Thank you for this. I was really trying to avoid guides for this game but after my fourth failed playthrough this really shed some light on some of the things I was doing wrong.
No shame in it - it took me about 30 hours to get to the point at the end of this guide, but still had another 100+ hours to learn everything so it just cuts the worst part of the learning curve and opens up SO many more things to explore still :)
Hands down the best guide video I've seen yet. I've been creating new games like crazy trying to figure out where I can improve and this video answers literally all my questions. Great stuff, liked and subbed 👍
Glad to hear this was helpful!
Man this is a great tutorial...detailed..great great work!! I like this! And the numbers behind it..i think is the best tutorial on Manor Lords so far...Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Hi, just wanted to say thank you for an excellent tutorial. This was the best I have ever watched on Utube. It was long, but it needed to be! Again wonderful job, the pacing was perfect and your speaking voice easy to listen to for an extended period. I hope you do more!!!!❤
Glad it was helpful!
whether its banners or manors, strat is the lord to show us the way.
You made playing BL2 so much more fun, I'm going to really enjoy what you do for Manor Lords.
Lots of really great information in here! Definitely helped me with some major aspects of the game that are not otherwise very well explained (or not explained at all). Thank you good sir!
Glad I could help!
Really enjoying the game so far - I know it is still early days, but I do hope they add larger maps and larger resource deposits
This is an awesome Guide and the checklist is superb. Great Work Bro!
Thank you so much for this guide. I generally suck at these types of games and you've made this super easy for a grandpa to get going. You got a new sub here.
I'm happy to hear the video was helpful!! Hope you're enjoying the game so far :)
You are awesome! Thanks so much for taking the time to explain everything so well! 💯
Thank you for the support!! I really appreciate that :D
The developer should include this in the game as a learning material. )
Thank you for your work! It helped me to understand why I was loosing all the times.
Glad I could help!
Strat, you have a really strong command in instructional speaking. I used to TA for programming during covid, and I would do take after take after take for just one assignment video with all the um's and stutters I do. Thanks for this video!
Your guide is 100% one of the better guides. I've been watching them all for DAYS trying to get a feel for the game before I personally play the game. I am the weird gamer. I do my research on the game before I play. I purchased the game, and after watching your guides and tricks and what not, I feel confident to play myself now. Thank you!
I'm happy to hear that! It's like getting the food-critic thumbs up at a restaurant - you're a connoisseur of gaming content :D
@@Strat-Guides Thank you!
Amazing amount of details as always.
It is incredible the amount of test-work you put into these videos
Thanks for your content once again :)
Thanks! Yeah this one took me a while to get out, but hopefully it will help come Friday
@@Strat-Guides definitely will!
It's on my wishlist (and on several million other people).
Think you will get a lot of views on this video after Friday!
By the way, that checklist in the video, is that from the game or one you made yourself? 😄
Looked very useful as a "recipe" for growing your town
@@Ruberg89 I made the checklist myself through a program I use all the time called notion. You'll see another video from me soon using notion where I tested the production rates for all buildings, extensions and farming fertility.
Wow your the man! I just watched the entire video and am super stoked for the game now, you definitely deserve a sub like and this comment. You must have spent days getting this one ready pre release. Thanks, and looking forward to more content on this in the future!
just hats off to this amount of work and thoughtfulness, wow!!! and its not even "just a guide" its actually usefull and makes sense! the check list is super helpful for example!
Excellent video. Thank you for making this content and teaching me how to play. I’ve been excited for manorlords for a while, yet this type of game is not my usual genre and I’m totally lost. This has helped me massively.
Thank you for the tip of reassigning people who run the stall. That was driving me crazy
I recently bought this and was a little confused, especially with the trade. You did an excellent job with this tutorial. I watched the whole video very closely and now I will play with the video running alongside me so I can get started correctly. Thanks
Excellent giude. Truely exemplary. Methodical, detailed but/and concise, and the additional checklist makes it 110%. Thank you!!
I've done multiple attempts and restarts with each thing I learn in this game. From what you pointed out, I think my storage was getting too clogged up and stretched too thin. The market stall tip was very useful. 9 years in and a large town and it felt like all the work slowed to a stop in certain industries. I think I now know why. Was going to start a new game which I'll do eventually but first I think I'll take everybody off their jobs and try your trick to reasign the market stalls. Very helpful guide.
Yeah lack of storage is killed! Try to get large storehouse and granary as you fill up and it will make a huge difference. Storehouse only needs planks and timber, granary also needs stone, but granary is always last to fill up anyways so it's not as much of a rush.
Thank you for always helping out my grandmother ❤
Thanks. That was very well done. Lots of useful info and tactics. If I get in the mood to make videos on this game I will be certain to refer my viewers to you for excellent advice.
Great guide!! I know content like this takes so much time so you earned my subscription. Really loving the game!! Keep these coming 👍🏽
he is a lucky boy! did you do the paid or just sub so his videos pop up more often? You must be very special
This video was a great help for my ageing ass but i ran into multiple issues with log collection. I know im doing something wrong and i'll figure it out but man, I've had my village burnt to cinders 3 times in a row now on default. This game is way harder than i thought it was going to be...
Which i like.
Thanks for the help.
Thanks for watching! Yeah they actually adjusted the AI aggressiveness up by a lot for the release build - it's a bit harder now. Good luck with your run and feel free to reach out if you get stuck on anything!
Grandma Guide, i'm in!
Edit, mans talking waaaay to fast for Grandma!
A true masterclass, at first i was dubious about spending 2h but overall I'm sure I've saved time hunting for answers elsewhere and have everything i need to know now
I may be wrong but I belive the market has a far more reach than that. Its all bout keeping it stocked. The houses closer will get the stock first, and if you run low the houses further out get nothing. Great guide btw.
You're 100% right - I made a video about that recently actually and corrected the mistake I made in this one :) it's not a big deal for this beginner town, but if you want to get to 50 plots or higher then it could become an issue. Thanks for watching!!
@Strat-Guides awesome thanks Strat. I just saw that vid pop up in my feed so will check it out. You have earned my subscription. I love these guides.
Great video. I've seen so many ML videos I don't think I even need to play it at this point.
I checked out several guides, and this one was by far the most helpful. Not just because it has the most information, but how the information is presented and explained. Video title couldn't be more accurate!
Thanks, I appreciate that! I spent well over 10 hours doing his run myself and taking out as much as I could to simplify things and this was the end result. It's also the first time I've used a checklist to go along with it, not sure if that as helpful or not? Thanks again for watching!
@@Strat-Guides The checklist is really nice! Definitely would recommend any new player to start here and follow the checklist at least once. Would have made learning the game a lot easier if I saw it sooner.
This game is pretty different from anything else I've played. In a lot of ways it's exactly what I've always wanted from a strategy/city game. But some things about it are kind of weird and hard to get to grips with. And of course some things are probably just unfinished. The only thing I don't really like is how the markets work. I wish that when we built a marketplace, we could choose how many of each stall it has, and which families run the stalls out of which building. I just don't really understand it. I've had a family in the sawpit running a food stall, and had no idea why they were doing that. I thought they had to be working in a building that held food in order to run a food stall! 🤯
@@neofromthewarnerbrothersic145 I'm still not 100% why they get to start stalls either but it's pretty easy to boot them lol you can just go to the sawpit people tab and reassign them to the storehouse or granary with the reassign button.
Thanks for the kind words!
Thank you. I’ve been messing around with the game for a week or two now and I would always start struggling and was about to give up. But I watched this video and you made the game fun again and easy to learn what I was doing wrong. Now I have a pretty big town. Only thing is all the land around me keeps getting claimed so fast and my army is too small to contest it. So that is an issue. But thanks for making the game fun for someone that was about to give up.
Thank you, so much for this. I probably would have stopped playing due to frustration if it weren't for all your work on this. The dev should include a link to this video wherever and whenever it would be appropriate. Seriously. Again, thank you.
Thank you for this guide and checklist. Have a good day.
Bro you are goated. The main thing I was struggling with was food I had literally everything else down but I just could not figure food out. Will give your guide a try in this next playthrough.
Thanks for watching! Just be away, they did change the egg production rate since I published this, so instead of 5 you might need a couple more. Everything else should be fine :)
Good to see u branching out ❤
Absolutely amazing guide!
Great guide! Thank you! ❤
Sir thank you for doing this video and pointing out all this cool and useful information.
Your video also showed me where I made a lot of my mistakes and now I should find the game more enjoyable thanks for your useful information and tips.
I am also looking forward to seeing more videos from you on this game as well since I had real trouble trying to understand the farming aspect of it. Plus, it doesn't help being slightly colorblind as well due to my glaucoma and age as well.
Thanks for watching! I'm actually working on the farming guide right now with a lot of tests and data to support my findings :D
@@Strat-Guides Cool and I am subscriber to you as well. :D
really love it! Good work!
I forgot to sub. I subbed and liked now sir. You helped me start combat. I'm still treating my current run as a mess about. I'm gonna start another new one tomorrow
Glad to hear that! Good luck with your real run :D
Excellent, thank you.
Dude, Best guide I've seen yet, and I love the checklist. And if my grandma was around she would have kicked my ass in Manor Lords with this guide!!..lol
2 hours+ video. Grandma fell asleep after 15 min 😂
By the way you have a great voice and for someone with so many subs you're very active with comments and replies. Very well done sir.
(This game is a dream for adhd and or mild autism like me haha)
Thank you, I appreciate that! When I first started making videos, I used to think "how could people listen to me, I sound so annoying" lol I've gotten a little more used to it, but I guess it's normal to not like your own voice at first.
Haha yeah, same for OCD too! Everything can fit nice and neatly :)
@@Strat-Guides I was thinking you might have some form of diagnosis (that's one of my special abilities. I can tell things like that)
I prefer people on the spectrum or people with a nuero diverse brain for sure.
I like the structured way you went through everything.
I'm a former youtuber myself. I hated my voice at first
What an amazing guide. Thanks so much for making this it has helped me so much to get started.
Glad it helped!
Seeing your family name at the first 3 families in the granary is kind of spooky and exciting at the same time :D i´m so ready for this game to launch
Nice! Hang in there, Friday will be here soon :D
I have the game and have watched a number of 'how to..' videos. Yours was the best and most concise and clear. Knowing what not to do is as important as knowing what to do. Great job.
Glad it helped!
The well seems to be used for the random fires that break out due to lightning. If the well is too far away the villagers won’t be able to put out the fire in time.
great guide! thank you!
Nice one strat, thanks for all the effort.
Thanks for watching! Hopefully this one helps cut the learning curve a bit
Thanks man, this is great. Game looks amazing!
This was great!!!! Very useful. Thank you !
this was so helpful, thank you very much :)
didn't realize how many things I was doing wrong before watching this...guess I'll start over...again haha. Great guide bro
