    As part of the new Startup Act, which was made public in January 2023, Spain added the Digital Nomad Visa. This was done to encourage people to start their own businesses and bring in foreign investment. With the new Spain remote work visa, freelancers and people who don't live in the EU or EEA can live and work in Spain for up to 12 months at a time, and the visa can be renewed for up to five years.
    Spanish cities, weather, prices, and internet speeds have made it a popular place for digital nomads to live for many years.
    Still, you did your homework and submitted your application to visit Spain. Unfortunately, you did not manage to obtain Spain's Digital Nomad Visa. You might feel like your dreams are going away at that point.

    Great information! Do i need to be in Spain the whole time after I submitted my visa application until the approval? Or can I leave Spain? In my case in live in the US. Thank you guys. I am pinoy wanting to move to Spain as my daughter goes to Uni in Spain!

      If you’re in Spain when you apply for DNV the approval is only in 20 days! Best to consult with Marina though to be sure if you can leave while waiting. Bureaucracy.es/everythingisboffo thanks for watching!

      Thank you for the quick response! Why did you choose Valencia, we are still deciding as to where, we were in Pamplona for 6 weeks and we love it there, and 3 weeks in Madrid , and are thinking of Madrid but outside of the city still have easy access to public transportation. I’ll be reaching out more to pick your brains. Thank you for the contents very valuable for me who is considering moving there. I’m also reaching out to Marina for help

      @@davidly8720 we wanted to be near a beach, but still live in a city. The size of barcelona was too big for us, and we stumbled upon Valencia as the 3rd largest city in Spain and has its own airport.

      @@skymorocco3454 if you want to apply for the digital nomad visa within Spain you need to arrive by plane directly into Spain and not another EU country. Your passport stamp should be Spain.
