  • So I bought another console from Wish... they have a lot of Nintendo consoles. I bought a Nintendo DS Lite this time - the black and red version. It's pretty interesting that they're selling these consoles as brand new... so we'll see what we get. Check out my Fake Wii video if you haven't already (also bought that console from Wish).

Everyone in the comments is saying completely wrong things.
The DS has the internals of a real DS console, but the plastic shell was just replaced with an aftermarket one, just like the Wii you got. Looks like they replaced the digitizer and also maybe the LCD screens.
To tell if GBA pokemon games are real, check the back and look through the opaque plastic. On the top left, real copies have four golden rectangles/squares on the pcb. Looking at 2:28 in the video, you have all these dots you can see through the shell, but no golden squares on top left. Also, the stickers on the front of real copies have a stamped two-digit number that is embossed physically into the paper, slightly off to the right and easily visible with a raking light.
I've seen some comments saying you can tell its real by checking if the PCB says Nintendo above the gold contacts but a lot of fakes nowadays put that there to fool uninformed kids. FireRed and LeafGreen do not have internal batteries, RSE have internal batteries that are easily seen from the front, just behind the sticker.
Most reproduction fake copies also have a weird message when you boot them up. Once you get passed the "PRESS START" menu, you'll get a message saying something along the lines of "the game can now be saved". Real copies never have that message, even in RSE if the battery runs dry (you get a different message). Hopefully you see this and it helps.

The Pokemon cartridge is fake. On the front of the cartridge, the "GAME BOY ADVANCE" text at the top will be wider and textured on the authentic cartridge, and narrower and smooth on the counterfeit cartridge. The cartridge in the video has the narrower text. An authentic Nintendo GBA cartridge will have four rectangles on the PCB on the back side in the upper left corner (with the edge connector fingers pointing down) - visible with a transparent cartridge shell. Two companies currently make amazing shells, and the screens they have these days are beautiful. I find the ghosting on the original ags 101 screen to be unplayable after using the high quality IPS kits. I’m not as familiar with the ds lite scene currently. (I do it anyway with games I don't own there's no risk enless your distributing them police don't care even if your caught red handed) the reason why u can't download a game u own is because it's still pirated material even if it's free your benefiting someone not named Nintendo... with ad revenue ..

My story time: in 2010 I bought one of these on ebay without realizing it was fake, it came from Hong Kong. I was replacing my ds that had a broken hinge, well the screen on this hk ds broke within a few days because they just put it in the fake box (that was scanned from a real box) in a bubble mailer and shipped it across the world. In 2018 I sent them both to a friend who's repaired a bunch of ds'es to put the hk ds shell on the original ds since it was still working, except the hinge. He told me this: everything inside the hk ds looked counterfeit except for the motherboard. The battery was fake and after these years had actually puffed up and was dangerous. the speakers had given out, but a screw was stripped (I never touched it) and would be a lot more effort to fix because the amplifier/ headphone port still got music so he left it alone, I never played with the sound on anyway so I didn't care. You could tell the font on the buttons was different as well. And the ds came in a weird color, it was black matte with a glossy pink top, I don't think Nintendo ever made that, but to clueless me I thought it was am overseas exclusive which was why I was drawn to it as a replacement in the first place. If you were to crack open one of these side by side with a real one it'd be interesting stuff. Also the stylus it came with didn't say nintendo, it was like one letter off. Hope yall enjoyed my little personal experience with these.

I had no reference how a real (an official) DSlite would be and also had no idea it existed DS that worked same as an official DS that early. Anyway, a month of use the small rubber thing around the shell started to fell of which was the first indication something was odd, and like 6 month of use the top screen started to flicker, and later stop working due to the screen cable inside was almost teared apart. Much later when I bought a real DSi and compared DSi with "DSlite", the later had a more thin plastic which make it lighter, but also 'squeezy' when using, like squeeze it to death. They have ds flash cards that look like ds cartridges( also has gba one aswell) that house a slot to insert a micro sd card that stores the games
