I'm looking to buy console bundles/colletions from subscribers! This subscriber of mine sold me his friend's Nintendo DSi collection, and in this video I did an unboxing and testing of what he sent me. The Nintendo DSi has always been an interesting console. Have a xbox series x and a nintendo switch 500 for both with all essential cables and dock
when I was in highschool 8 years ago, my friends DS had the parental locks enabled and she wanted them off. I called the Nintendo support phone number on the back of the DS and said she was my daughter and that I forgot the password then the operator told me how to remove the lock the backend way. Good ol' fashioned social engineering

@@deadlymassacre1 it's the same for the Wii I think, back in 2020 I disabled the parental controls with the website code generator because my dad had forgot the code and the security question's answer was spelt wrong

Download play was legendary. I went to this after school program at my school, it was basically just a daycare until your parents got off work and could come get you. But anyway, so many kids had the DS. Download play allowed 8 of us to play mario kart while only one needed a copy of the game. It was an incredible childhood.
My DSi XL is coming in the mail tomorrow. Pumped to upgrade my DS Lite!

Yeah, Mario Party DS is fun. The only drawback though is when you do story mode, you HAVE to get first place in order to take on the gigantic boss in every world you go to.

Fortunately I was able to get the parental controls removed on this one. Other consoles (aka Xbox 360) can be a different story…

I just got my DSi LL (XL) last december, had parental controls on it. And since its Japanese, I randomly understand it and got the parental PIN code randomly correct. xD
The way to remove the parental controls is to click "i forgot" then go to the mkey generator and it will give you a few prompts, and it should give you the code to remove it.
My parents did that to me on my 3DS and it was too easy. my dad ended up modding it lol

Thanks for the unexpected warning! There's an untested DSi for $20 on my local classifieds, and I now know to look to see if parental controls are enabled.
Well it looks like you can disable them pretty easily anyway so I'd say take it
I purchased a dsi with parental permissions, there was a website that you could find that after going to remove the parental permissions it says to call a number and it shows a code, in the website you put in the console, the code it gives, and it generates a reset code and it works.
The Mario kart looks like mine, it came with the DS

I once walked into an arcade at a trampoline park with $5 and won a 2ds! Still have it and gave it to my brother. Still uses it
I bought a Japanese DSi almost a year ago and I liked it a lot, it came with some small problems but I solved it, I got it for an ok price and it came in a good condition, unfortunately I recently discovered that the mic doesn't work but that doesn't interfere with anything . It is a console that is still very much worth the experience.

Yeah no that copy of Mario Kart DS is real, I have that same copy too. I have two boxes for Mario Kart DS (I brought one copy to school in the 3rd grade and my archnemesis stole it and then I moved away 😭), one box came from a DS bundle and that one lacks the ESRB rating information on the back since it’s on the box. The standard store bought version of Mario Kart DS comes in a red box like NSMB does.
I’ve had so many handhelds in my lifetime I can say the gameboy is my favorite but the dsi was fun to play with as well

My DSi's game card reader is pretty bad as I have to wiggle the card around inside of it for it to read it.. It's all worth it for a touchscreen with a working left side.

There's a website that's _supposed_ to remove the parental controls on a Wii, but it _can_ be used to remove them on a DSi.

if u read the back of the Mario cart case usually if a game has come in a set it will say part of a set somewhere on it so if u try to take it back u have to take everything that came with the set back as well i think i have seen some Xbox one games that doesn't have a rating on the back i might have one with no rating on the back
You can rest the parental controls on the Nintendo website and you can still do Dsi’s I had to do it the other day when I bought it but its 50 cents though

My mom got me that one when I was 5! With the age and everything, I lost the charger and then I put it in a drawer because I was too young and didn't have enough money, one day I found a charger that worked and looked for it but it was gone lol

I found my first dsi that I broke when I was probably 6, then I tried to dissemble the dsi and turns out I made it worst, then when I was ten, I found my second dsi I had that still worked and when I tried to clean the screen because it was dirty, I accidentally spilled rubbing alcohol and now the touchscreen doesn't work :(

I have the pal version of MarioKart ds and it also only have the age recommendation on the front of the case and not on the back and it was not sold originally as a bundle or the case should be saying not to be sold separately shouldn't it?

you could have just formated the dsi it would remove parental controls and its not like there were any important images or files on it that you would miss

I've been looking for a ds or a dsi but I am not buying a ds for 200-300 dollars on Amazon and I didn't really trust ebay and stuff like that. I want to get one for me and my sister's since I miss the multi-player it had you didnt even need wifi. You just need more than one ds and 1 copy of the game

I bout a 3Ds with parental controls and I couldn’t wipe its memory but I kept failing the passcode and then I tried 1234 and it worked no word of a lie
