Well the other fighter couldn't really do much to her. She wouldn't be able to grapple without risking imminent death. Hitting wasn't an option either because she would damage herself more because of the weight difference. It was like a tank coming up to someone with a twig. It just happened the tank drove into a ditch and knocked itself down.

This reminds me of your UFC 1 video, a tournament with almost no rules, when a Dutch Savate fighter went up against a Hawaiian Sumo wrestler. You keep thinking the sumo wrestler will just overwhelm him, and then the fight is over in 30 seconds, the Savate fighter first striking the wrestler, and as the wrestler collapsed, he followed up with a swift kick to the teeth.
UFC 1 really was more of a bloodsport than any other fight, a true test of which fighting style is superior. Truly a wild thing to see at the time, when everyone thought Karate was the end all be all.
I don’t think anyone who wasn’t age 10 and had only heard of karate and no other combat sport thought it was the be all and end all 😂 The 90s were when the likes of wrestling, “kung fu” movies and boxing were at their peak with other international material arts like for example the aforementioned sumo wrestling beginning to get larger international recognition. It was this larger recognition of all these different combat spots as to why UFC came into existence, had everyone thought karate was best they simply would of created a karate league or maybe even booked someone who actually solely practiced Karate. Given there was only two karateka on the inaugural card one known more for his kickboxing and street fights while the other was the Dutch Savate fighter you reference.
@@elcactusdelamuerte506 Well that's my point now isn't it. Without the Internet, most people's frame of reference for professional fighting styles was karate, kung fu, and boxing. The first proper MMA fighting and Brazilian Ju Jitsu didn't show up on Western cinema until Lethal Weapon's final fight scene.
With UFC 1, every combat style was put against one another in the ultimate fight to see which was the best overall.
