Sseth,/ Mandalore gaming and Gmanlives are my favorite game reviewers but Sseth has in my opinion, evolved Into a fully fledged comedian , rather than sprinkling humor throughout his reviews his humor has a review sort of buried under a layer or two of schizophrenias which is a nice change of pace and I like.

I wasent having fun when I started this game. I spent more time dead than getting to use attacks....until I found a few really broken strategies....at first I felt bad about this, like I wasn't experiencing the game as intended. And then a friend shared a kernel of wisdom with me. "If all they give you is macaroni, eventually you're going to have to use the cheese".
you definitely dont have to cheese it. But i understand not everyone has the patience for learning a game that seems so immensely hard.

Short term memory problem solving and muscle memory are actively tested in many even simple video games. Also are you only capable of being decent at one thing at a time? Swear to God we had a kid with a tiny arm like that in my high school and he actually played football and basketball. Guess his freaking position not lie? Wide receiver and point guard. And he was a beast. Pulled down more one handed catches then most kids did with two perfect arms and made more 3 pointers In basketball then most other kids. Was pretty crazy to watch.

Honestly, this is my first dark souls “game” and I’m loving every second of it. The feeling you get when finally defeating the boss that’s been kicking your ass for hours. That moment when you finally learn all of his moves and can finally destroy him.

@@Ebb0Productions I tried dark souls remastered after loving Elden ring, but it was too clunky and the bosses felt much more annoying. The gap in quality from Margit to asylum demon, Taurus and gargoyles is massive. Having such a long run to a boss fight I don’t enjoy was so bad.
Sekiro although I absolutely adored, even more so than Elden ring.

Hit boxes in this game are indeed pretty good, but with one exception that I've noticed. Crucible Knight's lunging crucible grab. The one that they create a horn on their gauntlet and charge and grab you with. If you side roll it you're probably ok, but if you back roll, which is what I often do when I panic roll, it's so easy for it to still grab you well beyond it's visual range. Like literally an entire body length and I'm still getting grabbed by that.
Carian retaliation is no joke, or at least it used to be as for meteorite of astel....I agree, as a hybrid caster it's good to have a few signature spells as a sorcerer but what most people don't realize is the cast time windup is a huge commitment for those 2 especially with a heavy movement boss, being a hybrid caster I actually think ancient dragon lightning and death lightning get you more bang for your buck with the trade off being proximity and those are what I use for most bosses, I still pull out the 2 sorceries now and then to keep in rotation but it's what most people expect to see someone who carries a staff use....anything that tracks or is a hard hitting fast cast and oh yeah carian retaliation.
Sseth was freaking ruthless XD loved every minute of it.

You can actually block that one shot magic exploit by using silver mirror shield to block it, it's hilarious seeing their reaction when they think they won just as you bumrush them 🤣
Someone should show him the clip of a strength build one hitting both of Malenia's phases with dual Giant Crusher's. Every build in the game has dumb OP stuff, and I think that's something that's so good about it.
Theres something smooth about Sseth’s video that I can sleep on while listening.
17:20 best part is that 1 tap magic attack still works. Good old carian retaliation. The shit netcode makes it imposible to even see the blades coming, so you cant roll away. You best bet is running sideways from the guy using it since the blades dont track that well.
4:30 I love the fact that there's a cut here. It leaves the possibility of Asmon pausing and processing the information for a far longer time than he actually did

It's so ironic that Asmon calls it cheating to use mimic tear later on.

This is my first souls game and i just beat the elden beast as a warrior with 10 fp and no mimic. Took me 150 hours and i was level 145. Don’t know how that compares to the avg player

To be fair the Death animation has actually been a clutch for me in instances where me and a boss or mob I was trying to kill, ALSO dies just in time because of how long it took for me to turn to dust. So honestly, I'm alright with that one =).

3:50 these archers are a nightmare and will one shot you on a ladder if they see you. I used gear to make myself move silently, unseen form spell to be partly invisible and I got the first two fires lit individually while dying in between. I died several times. Thank god the fires don’t reset after you die, that would be bullshit. The sentry torch helps for the one fire where an enemy sees you as you walk up to it, other than that there’s one archer on a roof you might want to take out but you can sneak passed most of them.
Remember, in Elden Ring, every build can be aggressively overpowered as long as you know what youre doing

Remove that one idiotic flask that gives infinite mana for ten seconds and none of those oneshots work anymore. That flask is broken, not sorcery.
the only hitbox i had issue with in the game... was the tree at the bird grinding spot... you can shoot like 1 meter away from the main trunk on the right side and it will count it as a hit on the tree...
One correction. Jumping doesn’t add height to a fall, the game accounts for it, I’ve tested this extensively. If a jump is too high, there’s nothing that will prevent you from dying to it. Torrent jumping, rolling, even the cloud item only reduces damage from survivable falls, it doesn’t do shit to a death fall.

What's fun about Elden Ring is all that he talked about. It's not been like any of the typical games. And to me the some or all of the Devs or this game had a sense of humor. 😊 I've watched a lot of gameplay by various people and it's so funny when they have to let their character be hugged, their character falls to it's death when least expected, and other things that the players are surprised by or frustrated with. And it's fun when they figure out or come across a way to be overpowered, etc. Love it all, glitches included!!! It's like life.

Magic shenanigans. XD Truly beautiful. This spell, Crystal Torrent, and the Comet Azur are just fun to use. No one spell is boss against everything, though. I did this for solo. For co-op I started out with frenzy because it looked so hilarious, and then mixed in bleed towards the end becoming like this DoT psycho to deal with opponents, meanwhile my friend was this strength beast who could also snipe targets at range.
I really do love the 'my game, can do what I want with it' showcase using save backups. Fuck the forced PvP aspect.
4:27 I had the same reaction watching Sseth's comments on Torrent as well. As with most ER junkies I think about the game during the day and have thought about what they meant by naming the horse "Torrent." I think Sseth's explanation is as good as any and I wouldn't be surprised if it were true.

A lot of his writing has gross-out shock value stuff, or food porn etc. His stories are fine but his prose is actually horrible.
15:39 I'm the same way. I suck at Souls games because I don't put in the time or effort to get better. I slap on some chunky armor, use the biggest weapon I can find, and drink the little magic potion when I'm almost dead.
Really though, I at least made it to Lost Izalith without a guide in DS1. That's good enough for me. I can't deal with being constantly on alert in these games, it gets kinda stressful. Plus, my number one hated thing in video games after timed stages is having to redo a whole bunch of shit when you die, like when you forget to save before the boss in an RPG except in this case you expressly can't even do that to begin with.
I love seeing people experience Sseth for the first time. He has a reputation for playing old dead games, but some of those old dead games are absolute hidden gems. Like Sseth.

to be fair vigour scaling in ds3 was the opposite, the health per allocated point drops at every next threshold, its not entirely linear though, i think the softcap in ds3 is like 44 vigour? but you gain the most return on investment from like lvl 15-20, those levels give the highest amount of hp per level (17 being the highest at +44)
Archers never gave me trouble. Bow down or ger up close with always sentry torched equipped. Was underwhelming imo but still kinda fun
No hate to Asmon but it's amazing when someone as well read as him can only respond with "yes, that's true, that happened to me" because Sseth is genuinely an objectively smarter person and better content creator. Asmon is good, but Sseth is like the 1% of youtube when it comes to understanding humor and writing quality.
I wanna see the grounds in which you claim this to be "objective", cause all i see is your opinion man, and that is inherently subjective, but id like to know more about this Sseth, he does seems to be funny and entertaining, more thab asmon?
