Man this could be a training video for new plumbers. Awesome video thank you.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Hey, it's your Harrisburg long time friend and member! Great to see you still at it. I have a new bathroom build in the basement coming up!
Hey buddy, great to hear from you 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Great video, thank you for sharing.
Thank you 🙏🏼 hopefully it’s helpful
I saw you used a wax ring w/ a horn. In your older video where you remove the toilet, you state your plumber friend advises against a horn. To horn or not to horn?
Really good advice.! One of my toilets ,a TOTO, has a separate outlet /trap piece that is fastened to the wax seal and floor flange before the toilet itself is installed. The toilet has a neoprene sleeve that slides into the trap piece. I installed and reinstalled it and it has never leaked. Is XCEL really better than silicone? Have not seen that at the usual suspect stores?
This toilet was a Toto as well. I was really impressed with the ease of installation and would definitely recommend it. More so than the current low end Kohler. Latasil is sold at select tile stores like Floor and Decor. Or it can be bought on Amazon, but look for the 100% silicone. I like it because of the Microban and toolability. And it comes in color-matching colors with the Laticrete grouts
What camera gear do you use?

Thank you 🙏🏼
So I tiled my floor and installed my toliet but the toliet seems to be a touch high. I put the wax ring on and tighten it down but the toliet rocks still.
Flange might be to high . Ideally should be 1/2 in
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
My buddy 🙏🏼 thank you amigo 🍺
Im an actual plumber. Silicon is not the way. Flange extensions are hack plumbing. That silicon will leak eventually. Why do you think plumbers use solvent welded fittings? Why dont we just silicon the fittings together? STICK to tile, YOU ARE MISREPRESENTING THE TRADE.
First, Lexel isn’t silicone - it’s an adhesive. Second, had the plumber listened to me, this closet bend would be a 4x3 instead of a 3x3 set on the plywood. He refused to use a 4x3 and dry fit the 4” riser so that I could set the tile and have the closet flange be screwed to the finished floor. Thus, I’m left with a closet flange sitting below the finished tile floor, which will ultimately cause a leak because wax rings compress. So, I’m using the closet flange spacers (per Oatey instructions) to build up the flange to be 1/4” above the tile floor. Because Lexel is a flexible adhesive it won’t shrink. That ultimately makes it an excellent choice for this installation.
